Nagoya locally special Miso Udon, udon is chewy, not soft kind, miso flavor is very strong. For me, the soup is quite salty, but taste is good. Side dishs also delicious, Tofu, pork and yaki tori with green oinon performed well!! Very good experience.

Visited at 12:00 on a Sunday. The restaurant is bright and clean with a "Japanese" atmosphere.
The beef tenderloin was very tasty with a rich miso flavor and elastic texture!
This Miso Stewed Udon has chewy noodles. It is very rare and can only be tasted here. I recommend ordering an extra bowl of rice because of the strong taste of miso.

Excellent menu with their heavenly udon dishes. Owner at 86 years old is as agile as a teenager. Fast, friendly and efficient service. Owner and wife can only communicate in Japanese. Please have your translator app ready when ordering to avoid any confusion. We went there 40mins before closing, hence some delicious items have been sold out. Local gem with easy parking nearby. Must visit again!!

Hidden in a tiny shop, with an unremarkable green door mat you will find this wonderful noodle shop. The broth is hearty and salty, the noodles are thick and chewy, the service is attentive; all in we had a wonderful time.
The staff first made sure we had no allergies to the buckwheat used for the noodles. Once seated there was an English description of how to eat the noodles and how to use the unique spice shakers. We also got pantomimed instructions from the staff. The noodles arrived still boiling in their pots. Definitely a hidden gem.

This is famous local food of Nagoya. And it seems that there are many regular customers in this restaurant. As a Korean, miso is a familiar taste with denjang. It's like having denjan suop. It was interesting to have this traditional udong but I would not have this udong again.. I would rather have donkotsu ramen

Came here because there were reviews floating around that miso udon is one of nagoya's signatures. I didn't like the broth. The barely done udon(on purpose) didn't faze me as much but the broth was too sweet. For the money, I'd rather go eat miso katsu again. Worth a visit here, but only one.

Very authentic Nagoya style udon in miso soup. The texture of the udon is hard which is different than those commonly known but the taste is good.

Delicious miso nikomi udon! Served in a boiling clay pot, with thick udon noodles. Has a vegetarian option (the plain one, ask without fish) and foreigner friendly, and the staff are really kind :)
