We were pleasantly surprised to see that this spot mastering Japanese and Chinese cuisine. Unfortunately, I don’t have a picture of the sushi my son smashed but any time we can satisfy two teens we’re happy. We ordered the chicken & broccoli, orange chicken and veggie lo mein. The miso soup was also good. The menu is quite vast and you should be able to find something for everyone.

Google
Quiet nice restaurant with wide variety of food. We especially liked tuna salad and shrimp tempura. The seafood soup was very nice too. Not so sure about lobster, I used to have better ones. In my taste it was a bit overcooked and I didn’t like the vegetables. Maybe next time will try sushi and other stuff. Prices for both food and beverages are reasonable to low

Google
Was really happy with dinner and everything tasted good and fresh. Got the sushi pizza with salmon (cause I’ve never gotten that before) and some eel sashimi. Had a big menu with lots of different types of sushi. Also had Chinese but didn’t try any of that. Will definitely go back again.

Google
Since we had to try Puerto Rican chinese food we tried this place and it was pretty good. Inhad the shrimp fried rice and it was seasoned really well. My husband had the garlic butter chicken and he enjoyed it as well. We ate here and have no regrets. The service was nice too. Try it!

Google
Had possibly the best tuna sushi ever... and that's saying a lot, since I tuna fish and we often have fresh sashimi on the boat of wr catch some. The spring roll appetizers are amazing. Also had the lobster roll, wow! My wife had the caterpillar roll and she loved it. Nice family that runs the place, too. Would definetly come back!

We had to wait for our food about 30 min ,waitress was friendly ,all the food we ordered was very tasty but the hygiene of the place (especially toilets without soap )very bad

Google
Try the Garlic Edamame, it is probably the best edamame I’ve had in my life! The Sushi pizza caught me attention so we tried it topped with Yellowtail. The rice was nice and crispy and there were enough portions to share it as an app. The Ama Salmon and the riceless roll were our sushi winners! Anything topped with plantain wins my heart and the priceless roll was as good surprise with sweetness coming from mango. I’m so sad we don’t remember our servers name because she was so fast (taking care of all tables during dinner) and gave us great recommendations They also have free valet parking.

Google
A hidden gem on the downtown main drag of Isla Verde. The staff were friendly, bi-lingual and the restaurant was very clean. We ordered egg drop soup and dumpling soup, both were flavorful and hot. Nobody wants a luke warm soup. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We were “blown away” by the creativity of their sushi selection. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for their “sushi pizza.” Their natural/fresh passion fruit tea had yummy slices of oranges and whole strawberries! So happy we found this place and we will definitely be back!!!

Yelp
Yamiko Sushi is my absolute favorite place to satisfy my sushi cravings! Every visit is a delight, and I can't recommend it enough. You must try the Garlic Edamame--it's incredibly flavorful and a perfect start to the meal. I've tried a wide variety of their rolls, and they never disappoint. Each roll is fresh, beautifully crafted, and packed with delicious flavors. The chicken or veggie friend rice are both super yummy and not greasy. And the teriyaki plates are all incredible. The service is another standout feature. The staff is always polite and efficient. Even during busy times, the service remains impressively fast, which is a rare and much-appreciated quality. I'll continue to return again and again!

Yelp
We ordered an assortment of sushi and apps for a take out order while staying across the street in a condo on vacation. The food was ready shortly after it was supposed to be and it was all really delicious. The pick up was a little weird because we wanted to make sure we got plenty of soy sauce and duck sauce, etc and they were a little stingy with it but it could have been a language barrier thing. Overall, I think the sushi is great and the prices aren't bad.

Philip Z.

Yelp
Excellent Sushi place. The food is always so fresh. You notice as soon as as you pick up a roll with your chopsticks; soft and fresh. Good cocktails as well. All reasonably priced. Service is A+ as well. Limited parking in front; better to walk.

Devianna C.

Yelp
I love that you have the option to customize your sushi in so many ways. They don't have those options in LA. The service was fine. Staff was easy to talk to. The restaurant is a decent size with plenty of tables and chairs. It's conveniently located across from all the hotels and the beach. Quick beach snack! Why not ? Try the mango and rice roll. Very refreshing. And the brown sugar boba was also a hit.

Yelp
Fast service. Delicious food! Bilingual restaurant. Parking is rough in this area that the only downside. I came here two years ago and loved it. Then I had to park in Walgreens parking lot which is right behind the restaurant. This time we ubered. Also was super excited to see a priceless roll and a sushi pizza!

Sparkle P.

Yelp
So we spent about a week in San Juan back in October, and one night, while walking to Walgreens, we spotted this little restaurant. By the time we got back to the resort and as the night went on, me and my roommate and I developed a taste for sushi and fried rice. So we decided to take another walk down after placing an online order. They weren't too busy, but they didn't begin to prepare the food right away, so we had to wait a little while. But once we got the food and walked back .. it was packaged well and still piping hot (I just had a shrimp fried rice) The flavors were good. The seasoning was on point and there were plenty of veggies

Yelp
Went here Christmas Eve since I figured most other places would be closed. Nice selection of Chinese and Japanese cuisine. Soups were delicious, as were sushi and Chinese dishes. Service was great, waitress memorized the whole order. Ambiance was clean but fairly basic. I would definitely go again.

Brenda S.

Yelp
Great food fast service everything was fresh. Huge variety of options...cooked & raw...We will definitely be going back.

Erik J.

Yelp
Visiting from Chicago and had a taste for sushi. Tried this place out and was pleasantly surprised! Good food, good value and excellent service. Would recommend!

Joshua M.

Yelp
This restaurant is a true treasure for Chinese cuisine in the locality. The offerings are both authentic and scrumptious. We started with appetizers of egg rolls and crab rangoons. Our main courses included sushi, beef lo mein, breaded chicken, octopus, and calamari. I had an issue with one dish, but they promptly replaced it with another. The atmosphere is laid-back and ideal for a date night. Although they provide some customer parking, space is quite limited. The service was friendly and attentive, enhancing our dining experience. This place categorizes in what we call in here Puerto Rico as the three B rule, referring to bueno bonito y barato

Marla L.

Yelp
Came here based on reviews, and because the restaurant we tried to get into had too long of a wait. We were seated right away. While the service wasn't super quick, it was friendly and accommodating. I was between a 3 and 4 on this one, and where I wish yelp had half stars. Had a mixed bag of food. The shrimp fried rice was ok, nothing to write home about. The chicken lo mein was really good. The cooked sushi roll we had was shrimp and avocado, pretty basic but we finished it. The fried ice cream for dessert didn't do it for me, the coating tasted like it wasn't cooked through. All in all, the place was convenient and would certainly come back in a pinch...but not necessarily a place I'd aim to go.

Maria L.

Yelp
Really wanted to try a sushi spot in PR, just for fun and guess what-- this place place was tasty! I was craving some veggies--and my friend got caterpillar roll. Nice service. Simplistic venue. Pay up at the front.

Lina R.

Yelp
Super quick service and delicious sushi. The place is in a very convenient area. Plus it's stayed open late, so we were able to go after a wonderful excursion that took all day.

Chakri V.

Yelp
Food is delicious, no grease at all. Good service and neat ambience. They customize as per your needs/ spice level. Rolls are must try.

Lydia H.

Yelp
We pulled in to park and we're told there was no parking by a host, Luis. We later found out that the parking was for customers and they assumed we were not. When asked why it was assumed that we wouldn't eat there we Luis proceeded to act as if he did not speak English and ushered us to leave. We spoke with the manager/owner who agreed that Luis's behavior was poor mannered and gave the excuse that "no car has a we're eating here sign, so we have to guess". I explained that this was absurd bc no car has the opposite sign. As I was leaving I looked around and realized that with ALL THE DIVERSITY in PR there was not a brown face in site. Coincidental? I wonder what types of people they assume will not eat there and are are ushered away. So disappointing. Great location, but I guess it's only for certain people.

Connie M.

Yelp
Came in at 10:30pm late late night snack. We ordered pepper tuna salad, tempura veggies and butter garlic edamame.tuna was perfect, tempura veggies came out hot and the tempura sauce is really good not runny, thicker and definitely cannot go wrong with garlic butter edamame! Especially if you love garlic, very garlicky. Service was on point she was very nice and check on us constantly.

Lavender R.

Yelp
Yummy. The Caribbean Roll is like an. Eel roll, but topped with plátanos. So Good!!!!!

Michael M.

Yelp
This sushi establishment NEVER disappoints!!!! Food is awesome, fresh, and made to order!!!

Jingwen Y.

Yelp
The service was friendly and super quick. Given that our experience for all other places is running on island time, this change of pace was a welcome sight. I came in because I was wondering what the heck is a sushi pizza and I left amazed. Now I have seen everything. The bottom layer is sushi rice fried and layered on the toppings. I ordered the salmon one and it was delicious. One pizza could be shared by 2 people. Also, I spot vegetables on the menu.

Princy S.

Yelp
A nice spot for some comfort food. The chef/owners/hostess was very sweet. Food was delicious and fresh. It was a nice walk along the strip. Definitely recommend it.

Ray J.

Yelp
We were craving some food we would normally get back home in the SGV (Los Angeles) We came across this gem within walking distance from our hotel. This place had everything that our KIDS loved along with the rolls my wife and I enjoy as well. The service was great, the appetizers were on point, my Sapporo beer was cold and refreshing and went great with our appetizer. We brought our own water tumbler, if you visit the island bring your tumbler and have water with you at all times as it comes in handy with the humidity especially with kids. The kids main dish was amazing and we were so starving we scarfed it down without a picture. They had the chicken low mein, fried rice, along with orange chicken that the wife and I both shared with the kids, as the portion was big enough for all of us. The kids enjoyed a Shirley Temple to wash their food down. We will be back!

Jenna T.

Yelp
I was amazed at how good this sushi was. Do not get it mixed up with the place next door. They are side by side. Service was super fast. AND the sushi chef is easy on the eyes too! . Good quality fresh fish. This is the only place to go for a locals spot!

Antonio G.

Yelp
One of my favorites from when I used to live in Puerto Rico that continues to grow in size and stay delicious like always. It's fresh sushi and sashimi hit the spot every time. You can't go wrong coming here to enjoy Puerto Rican style Sushi.

Eddie M.

Yelp
Great sushi place to eat the food is excellent the waiters give good hospitality Very attentive to the customers needs

Yelp
In rating this restaurant I want to balance how excited I was to have some Asian food on this trip with how I would rate this restaurant if I were back home. Yamiko sushi is a Japanese restaurant on the main drag of Isla Verde and seems to be one of very few Japanese restaurants in the area. Disclaimer, though: I haven't tried any of the others for comparison. They have some typical appetizers like seaweed salad and gyoza, and some that are a bit of Americanized Chinese crossover like fried wontons. They also have a long roll and specialty rolls list as well as some kitchen items like stir fried noodles. We had miso soup, crab salad (made with fake crab fyi), a bunch of rolls, and a stir fried noodle dish. Nothing to complain about with the appetizers which seemed decent but nothing mindblowing. We had the california roll with caviar, spicy salmon roll, and eel avocado roll. The fish seemed fresh and the avocado was nice and creamy. The rice was definitely the weakest link in all the rolls, though. It was overly soft and seemed to fall apart under gentle chopstick pressure and seemed like it was cooked in too much water. We didn't get any of the specialty rolls because most of them had cream cheese or were fried and we just weren't feeling that at the time. My dinner buddy who had the stir fried noodles had no complaints. Service was good, brief, and no nonsense. They gave their honest thoughts about various things on the menu which I appreciated. Strangely it seems like everything at this restaurant is served on disposable serving ware and cutlery. Our dishes came out on paper plates, the miso in a plastic to go container, and the noodles in a to go box, even though we were dining in. Our water was bottled (we were not given an option for tap) and we were charged for it. It's not clear why this is--maybe they don't have a dishwasher or enough staff to deal with dirty dishes. I was glad for having an option for Japanese food on our trip, but I don't think I would recommend this spot if I were back home.

LaRhonda M.

Yelp
For real! This place is delicious! The egg drop soup is so good! I would say maybe skip the fried wontons unless eating there as they were very oily and soft by the time we got them to the hotel, but the fried rice, stir fried pepper steak were all amazing!

Ritodhi C.

Yelp
We walked here from our Airbnb for my buddy's birthday dinner and, if I'm honest, I was expecting a subpar to mediocre experience as the island is not necessarily known for its sushi. The place itself has the feel of a neighborhood spot with TVs, a small bar, and dim lighting. Very casual, as the sushi is even served on paper plates. Color me surprised upon tasting the rolls, which were decently sized and fresh-tasting, well-packed and not over-sauced. I don't think it was just the sake either, though both filtered and unfiltered variations were quite tasty as well. Great selection of rolls and highly affordable as well that made for a solid meal and experience.

Yelp
Vaccination proof is required to dine-in (2021-09-06). They have 3-4 parking spots in front else parking can be found nearby in a lot or sometimes on the street. Service was professional, prompt, and welcoming. Decor is simple and clean; table and chairs with a hint of Asian flare. Pricing was about as expected for this type of food. We started with an order of Edamame, Seafood Spring Rolls, and Miso Soup. The edamame and miso were good and tasted as expected. The spring rolls were deep fried, so not as expected, but also good. We had an accident and spilled the miso all over the table, floor, and myself. The staff (even an off-the-clock employee) responded swiftly to help with the mess. Our server then brought us another miso to compensate. Bonus tip for them. We ordered the Snow White and the Don Q rolls for the main dish. The Snow White was a bit dry but had very good flavors. The Don Q hinted of flambé which gave it a nice char flavor but it was also a bit wet from the spicy Mayo it was covered in. It's a roll that's a bit over the top but it was tasty. We both did get a slight headache after eating here so we think they probably use MSG in some items, which is a "no-no" in my opinion. Yet overall, this place was good and feels like a solid four stars. Sushi is available just about everywhere on the island but it's often hit or miss. It was a hit here. But what really knocked it up was the service. It was professional, prompt, and welcoming. Remove the MSG and boost the ambiance/decor and I could give this place five stars.

Erica S.

Yelp
Had the Caterpillar roll with shrimp tempura, cream cheese, cucumber and avocado. It was a HUGE portion and super refreshing! That could certainly be your full meal but I also got the shrimp fried rice and that was also delicious with a plentiful serving of shrimp. I loved very part of this meal--Even the ginger on the side of the sushi was fresh and delicious. I saw another table enjoying a bottle of wine on ice and sharing a chicken and rice meal. I may have to try that next time.

Achilles B.

Yelp
I visited this restaurant based on the excellent reviews only to be massively disappointed. It was easily the worst culinary experience I ever had on my extensive travels. The salmon tartar was made of what seemed to be scraps and I had to remove strings of skin. The noodle dish I ordered was oily, tasteless and the consistency of the noodles them self was poor. There was one lady waiting and although she was nice and helpful, she seemed overwhelmed. The ambiance was typical. I don't recommend this restaurant!!!

Maria A.

Yelp
Best spicy tuna sushi pizza ever!! Annie was so sweet, good service, friendly and a good price point. Definitely 100x better than other sushi spots on the strip 10/10 reccomend

Shane C.

Yelp
SUSHI PIZZA! So good. And for any of you sushi purists out there get over yourself and try this fun take on sushi - the crust is made of rice fried to stay together; topped with your choice of fish. Simple yet delicious! Not sure if things have dramatically changed or what, but our service was prompt, friendly, accurate, and fast! We got delivery and even though told 30-60 minutes it arrived in 20. Wuuuut? The sushi is prepared neatly and is fresh! The crab wontons were stuffed to the max with imitation crab. I generally don't like imitation (and before you turn up your nose they are *very* upfront about using it on the menu - no surprises or gotchas) but it was seasoned SO WELL! Yum! Will order again...soon! And as previous reviews suggest the veggie fried rice is soo so good. I wish I knew what they were doing different so I could try to replicate with my own recipe. This is a phenomenal option for sushi, Asian, fusion. We will absolutely be eating here multiple times in our month on the island.

Ben L.

Yelp
Best sushi I've had in a while. And to find it in Puerto Rico. Highly recommend if you want something different other than the typical Puerto Rican cuisine. Of course, couldn't get away from the Puerto Rican cuisine and had to try the Caribbean dragon roll which was not your typical dragon roll. It had eel, mango and sweet plantains on top. Absolutely awesome. We also ordered the pinky dragon roll, mango ceviche, spider roll and seafood spring roll. All were fresh and delicious. Service was excellent. Great atmosphere and clean. Definitely on our list of "must go's" the next time we visit Puerto Rico.

Yasmeen R.

Yelp
The service was so great, the main lady that worked there was so nice. the food was the best part and was so delicious! Would most definitely recommend it!!

Rabab R.

Yelp
Delivery review: Great take out food! The sushi was so good and fresh, I really enjoyed it! The crab crackers were good, however because of them being a delivery order, by the time they reached me they were quite soggy. The chicken was surprisingly good! Oily, but good! And the veg fried rice was my favourite! Service and delivery was super quick. And I should add that delivery is free through their online website!

Linda C.

Yelp
Great service, super convenient, covid rules followed, kid approved !! I loved my tropical Roll!! Right across from our Airbnb and the beach !

Amber B.

Yelp
From the free crab concoction atop cracker starters to the Angry Dragon Roll, this place is winner winner! I'm so glad we found this place - we'll definitely be coming back before leaving Puerto Rico!!!

Gabrielle P.

Yelp
This place was pretty good. We got takeout because we were staying right across and didn't want to be inside with the pandemic going on - plus we had a great beach front view. Therefore I cannot say how the service was too much. Everything was packed nicely with soy sauce and chopsticks and they were very nice checking us out. I'm from New York so I'm rating this based on sushi that I typically have. It is good, there is a lot of rice on the rolls and they are very filling we definitely ordered too much haha. I personally probably would try another place to compare with how sushi is on the island but it was decent and I would say if you want good sushi go here.

Dan B.

Yelp
My first experience with sushi on the island and was not disappointed. Service is a little slow compared to main land, but the quality can't be beat. Had the the tuna pepper and spider crab and honestly was the best i have ever had. Fresh and crispy, you can tell it was just made. Also ordered wine with the meal, and was also very reasonable. $22 for a full bottle , not half. Will come back again.

Vidhi V.

Yelp
I'm a vegetarian and I love sushi! It's rare to get good veggie sushi at most places. This place is heaven when it comes to Sushi! We ordered Amarillo sushi (friend plantain), Mango sushi and Avocado sushi. All 3 were good, but the Mango and Amarillo were outstanding! We even ordered 2 plates to go! Amazing service as well. The staff was very friendly and patiently recommended different kinds of veggie options for us. It's always nice to have smiling welcoming faces! Would highly recommend this place to sushi lovers!

Kacie L.

Yelp
Fast kind service and delicious sushi and super fun and unique sushi pizza. Everywhere was packed and slow to serve food, except for this gem. We would definitely come back.

Jessica D.

Yelp
My friends and I had the fortune of having this place down the street on our trip to PR. The pork dumplings were delicious as were the Beef Udon Noodles. We had to try the Don Q Rolls, those were fun in presentation and rather large. Our server was really sweet and attentive. Alone or with friends give Yamiko a try. Order several things of the menu if you can. Take what you don't finish to go, the noodles were just as good the next day!!

Botch A.

Yelp
The sushi was fresh enough but nothing to get excited about. The chef is Chinese so you'd probably be better off with their Chinese food offerings.

Ethan S.

Yelp
Great spot for no nonsense sushi and Japanese food near the beach. The fish was great quality. We especially enjoyed the mango ceviche and the seared tuna with avocado. The sushi also hit the slot. The rice was a little bit wet but I still really liked it. Paired with a bottle of sake I can say that I'm very satisfied and feel refreshed after a long day at the beach and pool.

Rita J.

Yelp
My husband and I loved this place!! It was so delicious. We got crab salad as well as the Mongolian beef and some of their sushi. Absolutely everything they brought out was phenomenal and fresh. We're so glad we chose this place. It's super cool compared to hot air outside and very clean. The waitress helping us was very helpful to us as well constantly checking on us. We will definitely be back.

Milena P.

Yelp
We wanted something different from Puerto Rican food one night and I gotta say Yamiko was a great choice. Service was quick and our waiter was really nice and attentive. Food was also good quality and fresh. I got raw sushi and everything tasted on point

Albert C.

Yelp
Great food. The main lady working was great, and super attentive. One of the best Asian spots around

Greg R.

Yelp
May be a bit pricy but when you bite into the deliciousness of the sushi, you know exactly where that money went. O M G this is F ing good sushi!! Nothing else to say more but Dayem, this is good sushi.

Ivette M.

Yelp
Delicious food and great portions ! You definitely get your money's worth. Waitress was very nice and attentive & they have taken some good COVID related measures.
