With respect to the tap room in Craig, no comparison to the HQ here in Hayden. Really great service, a full time food truck and if course, excellent beer. Great work guys!

Great little brewery with quite a few beer options, indoor & outdoor seating, corn hole & a food truck parked next door that operates on the weekends. A must stop for beer drinkers when traveling through NW Colorado. You can buy a growler to take with or their "Yampa Valley Blonde" in cans at the brewery & in local stores. 👍

Great environment! Delicious beer.! Our favorite has always been Space Dog IPA, but they have other options for a variety of tastes. It's a place like the Cheers theme song, "where everybody knows your name"

We went there on Memorial Day, 2019 to have a couple of beers and pick up some 4-packs to bring back to camp. The bartender was very knowledgeable and engaging. It was a great experience, and I think their Space Dog IPA is superb. I brought home a four pack. It was a fun place. Don’t hesitate to visit it, if you’re in the area. I only gave it 4 stars because they didn’t have the shirt I wanted in my size. Haha. Otherwise, 5 stars. 6/7/19 update: We have been tasting IPAs throughout Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana. The Space Dog IPA is the best, by far. If you like a great IPA, you’ve got to try this one. It’s out of this world!

Awesome little find a few feet from the main drag. Ducked in to escape the rain while on a motorcycle ride. Tried a flight of their various bevies. 5 samplers. 5 winners. 3 IPA's, a stout, and a Red. Each very drinkable, enjoyable. Had a pint of our favorites. Really comfortable setting. Like sitting in a friends back yard. Would have loved to have stayed to explore more pours, however, the clouds moved on and so did we. I may ride back just to taste the other offerings.

What a gem in Hayden! The beer selection was a bit small, but all of them that we tasted (and we may or may not have tasted them all ;) ) were excellent. The Froot was so good on a warm day that we had to take a crowler with us. Savannah was fantastic, informative, and as friendly as could be! (So was her pup, Zen) She really made our day and turned what was supposed to be a leg-stretch and a quick beer, into a fantastic experience. She mentioned that they will be moving a couple blocks into an old granary soon, and we can't wait to enjoy the new digs! Definitely worth the short drive over if you're in the Routt County area!

Yampa Valley Brewing is laid back, dog friendly, and inviting. Christian and Erica came in a few months ago as the new brewers and they have really improved the brewery and made the ambiance more inviting and the beers tastier than ever. For the community and the beer's sake, I hope they never leave!

Good beer, good music by Acutonic, but the Grit Girls were AMAZING! The Collard greens, grits, and pimento cheese with jam were delicious, the tacos, so good and we heard the chicken sandwich was phenomenal, we will have to try that next! Will definitely make the trek from steamboat to try the rest of the menu...dilly dilly!

Great find great beer. Nice relaxed atmosphere and family friendly in downtown...highly recommend. The attached restaurant serves a tasty burger too.

Spent some time here while waiting for a friend to arrive at the airport (2 minutes away!). It's a great local bar with a good atmosphere, great drinks, and board games. We felt very welcome and would love to stop again on our next trip to Steamboat!

While passing through Craig, CO decided to stop at this quaint brewery. We weren't disappointed. Friendly staff large assortment of beers- even offered a taste before ordering. Best pub food at Lo Cal. You won't go wrong with the build your own burger and fresh salads. We will be back!

Terrible service in Craig, CO, (actually no service staff at all), staff were rude, food not great, tables not clean and the bartender and the guy that took our food orders lied to us about ice. They said because they were a Tavern it was illegal in the state of Colorado to provide ice for anything. I asked them that on the menu it says ice tea so does the tea have ice, got the same answer. Water we had to get out of a water jug dispenser ourselves that wasn't cold. They also were rude to us because there were 15 in our group. One would think that in a small town they would be glad to have that extra business but they just complained about it. I hope the owners read this and gets staff in there that wants to service its customers. DON'T PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT !

New on Lincoln Ave in Steamboat. If you want a 3pm (ish) beer in the sun, head to the patio and pull out a couple Adirondack chairs. We each had a couple of their lightest beers on tap after lunch elsewhere (I don't think there is food here). I saw others enjoying beer flights. Great to catch some Vitamin D, have a drink, and then walk around the shops on Lincoln.

A brewery in Hayden! What?? What a pleasant surprise to find this in Hayden. While nothing wrong with the town bar, it is nice to have this little gem. The beer was good and the atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. I will be back on my next visit to Hayden. I didn't eat at the food truck but what a great idea to have that right outside the brewery. Ohhh! Possible to make some the writing a bit bigger on the chalkboard behind the bar? I had my contacts in and still had a bit of a problem seeing it.

Possibly the most happening place in Hayden, this brewery is a must-visit while in town. They've created a great new space next to the granary downtown with an awesome outdoor patio area, often complete with food truck for snacks. The seasonal beer rotation is phenomenal, yet they've always got the crowd favorites on tap as well. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The ambiance is typically great, however the only odd thing I notice there regularly is the surprising number of children running around. A brewery seems an odd place to encounter large groups of children running around indoors and outdoors, but it's a pretty regular occurrence. It's a small community, and I people have kids, so I guess everyone has the green light to bring their kids with them tot he bar. Possibly one of my favorite places in Hayden, great beer, awesome location, often just a few too many kids running around in the evenings...

Pulled in about 6pm, no food service yet the coworkers pointed us to Embers Pizza around the corner. Had a couple of great beers waiting for the pizza that was heat as well.

I have to give some major kudos to Yampa Valley Brewing Company. I went to Steamboat Springs to see some friends last fall and though they were not able to get together to the evening I decided to go and check out the breweries in the area. Steamboat got some new ones since my last visit as well as Hayden. I made a drive over to Hayden and got to the brewery. The door was unlocked and I went in but was told by someone in the back that their taproom wasn't open yet so the hours that I was going off of on Yelp did not seem to be correct. However the people that run this brewery were so incredibly sweet and let me stay so I could have a beer and I didn't even need to plead in the slightest. Now that's accommodating! At Yampa Brewing I got their Valley Girl Blonde which was excellent. I chatted with the the young lady that served me and we had a nice chat about my trip to Colorado, my Wyoming origins and where I currently live which is Washington state. I only got one beer here because I didn't want to cause anymore interference on their part but I can't rave enough about how kind they were despite my visit being outside of the taproom's operating hours. Now that is going above and beyond with customer service! Thanks so much!

If you're not a local or regular, don't expect service. Stopped in after ordering food from the food truck next to it thought I'd have a beer while I waited for my food order. Walked in to the bar 1 guy was sitting at a table looking at his phone, I waited at the bar for a couple of minutes, and gave up. As I'm walking out the door the guy from the table gets behind the bar, it's the bartender! Never acknowledged me, just gave me a go to hell look as I walked out. I live in Hayden, first and last time I'll step foot in this establishment.

Really only ended up here because we had already visited every place labeled as a brewery in Steamboat Springs proper. Definitely glad we went. Excellent beer and great staff. Not only worth stopping in on one's way through, but actually a great destination for a day trip. My hands down favorite place in the Yampa Valley. Wish it was closer to home for us. My 209th brewery visited, and definitely a personal favorite.

Stopped here on a road trip and all I can say is not only is the environment very friendly the food was amazing I got a veggie burger and the cook recommended the ranch Aïoli and it was phenomenal on the burger!

Stopped in on a tip that they had an NFL package (a friend NEEDED this); great find! A bit hidden (behind a liquor store off the main drag). Really clean, chill atmosphere; you can tell a lot of love and thought has gone into opening this place. 3 beers on tap currently- the porter was solid. No food. Kid and dog friendly- even had some table top games. Root beer/ginger ale available for the under 21 crowd. Cool place if your in/near/passing through Hayden.

Drink the snowberries! Cranberry plum sour. Yes please! Wish we could have tried the food truck but we visited to early. Not far from steamboat springs. Worth the drive.

I never leave Yelp reviews but this was such a terrible experience I had to leave some comments. I came down from Steamboat to check out YVBC with my girlfriend. The tap room smelled like cigarette smoke when we walked in but I ignored it. We ordered the Session IPA and after taking two sips, I asked for my tab and we left two full beers on the bar. It was the worst beer I have ever tasted and reminded me of the first time I home-brewed in my kitchen. I enjoy checking out new breweries but I guess I will stick to the bars in Steamboat.

Sorry to say that the beer was not drinkable. My friend and I came over from Steamboat to test this out and had the sampler. Really, really.......not good. It is unheard of for me to not want any of the beers after having a sampler, until now.

Great beer, great atmosphere. I try microbreweries wherever I travel. YVBC ranks up with the best of them! Since I live in Hayden, it's perfect. I don't have to travel far. Keep up the great brews.
