Never been here before. Beautiful period building. Lovely outdoor areas. Kangaroos on the lawns. It was for a 60th wedding anniversary so set menu ie soup, roast and their own cake for dessert. Wines were lovely and setting very beautiful.

Lovely room. Plenty of space, with reverse cycle air-conditioning. Large bathroom with a shower and spa bath. Our room had a little verandah and a view of the lake. Lots of kangaroos just milling around, which was a bonus. Restaurant in site for dinner and breakfast. Very convenient base to explore Yanchep NP.

We were out on a stunning run and thought. Wow this place would must have incredible food to match the view - sadly, absolutely not. I ordered the soft shell crab salad to only receive grab skin, no meat what so ever with a dull, bland slaw ($23..) My partner ordered the most expensive burger being $34, I can hands down simply say my children would have been able to make a better burger than this. Highly disappointed and do not recommend, save yourself and drive to hungry jacks.

Beautiful and peaceful. We stopped off for a sneaky pint before the treetop adventure park. The back garden was lovely and there are lots of birds. After a few hours of climbing trees we stopped back in before going home and sat inside. It has a country pub vibe and the staff were great and seemed to know everyone. A very happy atmosphere and one bar staff member was on her second day and she was so lovely! We hope she loves working there 🩷

More like 3.5 stars... Yummy food BUT! I was left very very hungry (starving even) after my main meal (salmon & bacon pasta) which wasn't cheap. Staff were nice, service was quick, and it was really nice to sit on the porch and watch the birds and the rain... it really was a shame about the food size, as I would otherwise back in a hurry.

Disappointed. Food was cold, veggies too hard to cut with a knife. After sending our meals back when delivered stating that everything was cold & veggies were hard the return meal was also cold & broccoli was past its freshness, yellow. Having paid over $70 l would have expected at the very least we would be able to eat the food & for it to be served hot. The staff were nice though.

Unfortunately the food hasn't improved. Went there for dinner had the fish of the day. The mashed potato and broccolini was cold but the fish at least was hot. Mum ordered a hot chocolate, that too was cold. We were in the Atrium, it was cold so we asked if we could get the heater turned on but they just closed the door, there was still a gap so the cold breeze still came through. We won't be going back unless there is some serious improvement.

Filthy outdoor eating area. Broken chairs and rotten wood on some tables. Bird crap on everything. We had to clean the chairs ourselves before sitting down and asked the waiter if he could wipe down the table, before he put the plates down. We were served cold meat pie and cold mashed potatoes and cold vegies. We returned our meals and asked for them to be heated up and when they returned, the pie was hot and the plate was too, but all the vegetables and mash were stone cold. No apology nothing. It's any wonder they make you pay for your meals before you sit down, otherwise you would not pay afterwards. Nearly $80 for 2 people for a pie and a drink each. Disgusting rip off !

Yelp
Historic Inn set in Yanchep National Park overlooking McNess Loch with a huge beer garden where kangaroos graze on the lawn, black cockatoos squawk overhead, and ducks roam under the tables. We ordered inside after picking a numbered table and our food arrived right away. My husband had the roast lunch special and was impressed with it, and my toasted cheese was fine. If you want to dine in nature the back patio is the place to be. There are also two bars, inside dining rooms and tables on the front porch. There are also overnight accommodations in this lovely natural setting, with the koala boardwalk only steps away from the inn, koala sightings guaranteed.
