Two years ago, I discovered this traditional kimono shop online, and today I finally had the chance to visit in person. I bought a beautiful haori (kimono jacket), and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and they spoke English very well, which made communication smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend this shop to anyone who loves traditional Japanese clothing or wants to experience authentic kimono craftsmanship. It’s truly a wonderful place to explore and find something special!

Unique products and wonderful service! This shop sells beautiful traditional Japanese clothes with innovative materials and styles, and the people there are patient and welcoming, speak good English and have made the shopping experience a pleasure. I wish I had more time in Japan to get a custom made kimono, which I'll hopefully be able to do next time (they take around 3 weeks), but the haori I bought this time is beautiful and has made me very happy. Everything they sell is of very high quality and you can see and feel the expert craftsmanship in all their products.

The entire team at Y.&Sons is tremendous. I came to Japan wanting to find a yukata I could wear, which is challenging as a big & tall man. After conversing with them via email, I knew this was the place for me. I had such a wonderful time interacting with them and they were extraordinarily helpful in helping me choose the right fabric and pieces to complete my purchase. They have so many gorgeous fabrics that change with the seasons, and it was hard to choose just one. They range from the simple to the elaborate and each one is more beautiful than the last. They were able to expedite my order for a small fee so I could take it home with me after my two-week trip. Taiki, Luka, Kota, and the whole staff were so lovely and I would recommend them to anyone looking to take a custom piece of beautiful tailoring home with them.

Overall a great experience purchasing a haori. Staff were very attentive and patient, giving me different options and opinions. Very professional and friendly as well. I was even offered a cup of tea. 10/10 will be back :)

For anyone looking for a unique Kimono with amazing customer service, this is the place you want to go. From the time I walked into the building until the time I left, the customer service was amazing. Luka was very patient and took time to explain everything I needed and its purpose and she’s funny as well. Y.& Sons definitely make you feel welcome even if you are a foreigner.
