Always a favorite since I was a little girl! The guides there are fantastic and full of fascinating facts, and there’s great little gift shop at the end of the tour. Don’t miss driving on an extra mile to Custer Ghost Town, a jewel and full of history!

History at a stand still. I absolutely love anything about gold mining ⛏️ Mr. Reed was amazing and so cool to listen too. The story about his dad and family growing up in this area was so fun to listen too. I wish we had time to do more that day at Custer

Very cool old dredge. Carry on to Custer and then over the hill on the old stagecoach road to whatever the next town is to the north. It's unpaved but an suv can do it.
It's far enough off the pavement to remind of you when it ran but not so far it's a hassle. Custer too. And they're both restored enough to be worth some time and effort.

We have been wanting to come see this for a couple years now and finally did it. This is a wonderful piece of local history. They don't charge anymore to see it but they ask that you make a donation.

Very cool place to visit. It is an eye opener to see all the damage caused by these dredges. The impact the caused will last for 100's of years. It is great that they no longer allow this style of digging for gold. Great place to visit if you are in the area.

This Dredge was incredible. I've seen lots of remains of dredging but never the actual equipment. Gold mining is a fact of the west and seeing the history is cool. I also recommend the Bonanza Cemetery, Bonanza Ghost town and Custer Ghost town. I wish we had time to visit the Bayhorse as it looks incredible in pics. Thank you to the hardworking people who keep the dredge open to the public.

Very cool history. Dredge at the end of a long dirt road. My friend and I paid $5 for the tour so we could see the inside. It was self led. There was one volunteer who was super informative in the last part of the tour. They have a little gift store, but the items are from other places, not Idaho.
