Loved our stay here! Super chill vibe with a beautiful garden and pool that feels like a little jungle hideaway. The location is perfect—right in Nimman, close to tons of cafes and street food. Staff were really kind and helpful, and the room had a nice mix of traditional style and comfort. Great place to relax after exploring Chiang Mai. Would totally come back!

Surprisingly nice location. Very relaxed atmosphere, beautiful lush courtyard incredible pool and nice rooms. The only problem is that the hotel is located right under the airport landing route of the airplanes. This results in a lot of noise until around 23.00. Hotel is situated in area with a lot of nice restaurants.

At first we were skeptical due to some negative cleanliness reviews, but the location and price were good, so we gave it a try, and we totally loved our stay! Despite being in central Chiang Mai, it feels calm as if we're staying the mountains. I think it's hte only hotel we saw in Chiang Mai that give of this green, garden feeling. The wood architecture gives a charming, ancient Lanna vibe. I could understand why some guests see it as dirty though. For us, we saw the place as rustic old style charm, and the place was actually very clean. The staff were all smiling and very helpful. Would totally come back!

I stayed at the Yabtarasri in Chiang Mai for one month. At the condo (not the resort), I was surprised that the room had no accessories, such as kitchen utensils, not even a coffee cup. There were no hangers to hang up clothes and not even toilet paper. However, the room had a microwave and a refrigerator. The life-savior at the resort was Nam, who did everything possible to enhance my stay. For example, she brought me hangers and arranged for the washing of my clothes-- I left the dirty wash with her in the morning, and by afternoon, they were available. The hot water was fine, and the pressure was good enough. The condo is located in the center of Nimmanhaemin, a great place to be. Honestly, I would not recommend this property to friends, but it is inexpensive (15,000 baht/month).

The hotel was really nice and the pool is great because of the heat. Breakfast was also quite good. You hear planes passing quite often, but we got kinda used to it. There are some insects/animals, wich is normal bc it's like a jungle, but if you are not careful they could enter the room.

I only gave this two stars because the building is rustic and the gardens are nice. Everything else fell far below my expectations as a frequent traveller to mid-range hotels. The breakfast was poor – couple of generic Thai meals each day, often lukewarm coffee, pasty square bread (think England, not France) – they only cleaned my room once in five days, the key was hard to use (even the staff member who let me into the room struggled with it), the bed was hard and the shower ran cold two of my five days. The clincher was when they flat refused to even consider letting me check out an hour or two late, even though the hotel was only half full (I asked). Oh, and there were cockroaches in my room. Don’t stay here.

While the atmosphere of the hotel is great, the room is not very clean, furniture is old and the bathtub jacuzzi was leaking rust. Way too expensive for Chiang Mai standards.

Hotel is older but have a very good garden vibe to it. Lots of solid wood in all parts of the hotel and it is a comfortable stay. The rooms are huge, but a little older. But it is deifintely value for money. It is also located in the busy Nimman area and is walking distance to MAYA mall and One Nimman, and the white market.
