Loved our stay here! Super chill vibe with a beautiful garden and pool that feels like a little jungle hideaway. The location is perfect—right in Nimman, close to tons of cafes and street food. Staff were really kind and helpful, and the room had a nice mix of traditional style and comfort. Great place to relax after exploring Chiang Mai. Would totally come back!

Surprisingly nice location. Very relaxed atmosphere, beautiful lush courtyard incredible pool and nice rooms. The only problem is that the hotel is located right under the airport landing route of the airplanes. This results in a lot of noise until around 23.00. Hotel is situated in area with a lot of nice restaurants.

This is an older property, but also a rarity in the Nimman area. While most nearby hotels are modern bricks, this is an affordable resort style accomodation that offers a quiet retreat from the busy surroundings. It's in traditional Thai Lanna style with a lot of plants and wooden buildings. Would recommend a poolside executive room. The only negative was how measly they were with toilet paper. One roll per day.

At first we were skeptical due to some negative cleanliness reviews, but the location and price were good, so we gave it a try, and we totally loved our stay! Despite being in central Chiang Mai, it feels calm as if we're staying the mountains. I think it's hte only hotel we saw in Chiang Mai that give of this green, garden feeling. The wood architecture gives a charming, ancient Lanna vibe. I could understand why some guests see it as dirty though. For us, we saw the place as rustic old style charm, and the place was actually very clean. The staff were all smiling and very helpful. Would totally come back!

Booked this place for my sister because I saw good reviews. And here is her experience with the hotel. There's no house keeping for her entire stay with no reason. They put a toilet paper roll and 2 bottles of water at night by your door. Since her flight got cancelled so she extended a night and she was moved to a new room. Nightmare happened! She found 2 huge cockroaches crawling on the floor while she was packing up her suitcase. She successfully smashed one but one disappeared so she couldn't sleep the whole night! HORRIBLE! I asked her why she didn't change rooms and she told me because it was too late (1am when she saw the cockroaches).

The hotel was really nice and the pool is great because of the heat. Breakfast was also quite good. You hear planes passing quite often, but we got kinda used to it. There are some insects/animals, wich is normal bc it's like a jungle, but if you are not careful they could enter the room.

While the atmosphere of the hotel is great, the room is not very clean, furniture is old and the bathtub jacuzzi was leaking rust. Way too expensive for Chiang Mai standards.

I stayed at the Yabtarasri in Chiang Mai for one month. At the condo (not the resort), I was surprised that the room had no accessories, such as kitchen utensils, not even a coffee cup. There were no hangers to hang up clothes and not even toilet paper. However, the room had a microwave and a refrigerator. The life-savior at the resort was Nam, who did everything possible to enhance my stay. For example, she brought me hangers and arranged for the washing of my clothes-- I left the dirty wash with her in the morning, and by afternoon, they were available. The hot water was fine, and the pressure was good enough. The condo is located in the center of Nimmanhaemin, a great place to be. Honestly, I would not recommend this property to friends, but it is inexpensive (15,000 baht/month).
