Food was delicious, we ate outside and was a nice subtle environment. Wait stay was very accommodating to my party when they found she needed no gluten. Cost around $65 with tip for 2 people, $130 for party of 4. Will go again but maybe during happy hour. Recommend!

First visit. Stopped for couple of drinks and appetizers. Clean place. Nice selection of beers on tap. Good variety of food on the menu. We will go back to try their main meals.

You gotta try the ahi tuna burger, it’s perfect. As I was looking over my photos on my phone and saw the ahi tuna burger tonight, I wanted to go back to the yard house soon and get another one. The food was tasty and the fries just right. We had a large group and they accommodated us well. The service was good and they easily broke up the bill for each of us.

This is a very busy location for a restaurant. Everyone has heard of and/or eaten here so this will be a review about a particular server named Olivia. If you’re fortunate enough to be served by Olivia — consider yourself one of the lucky ones. She was accommodating, attentive, and incredibly professional without feeling rehearsed. She was personable and lovely. This made for an excellent dining experience. Thank you, Olivia!

Nice ambiance, good food and attentive staff. Great spot for beer fans. The house beers are great, I recommend the house lager 125 and the house IPA.

i’ve been here twice. good drinks, food is okay. except the second time i was there our waitress ( i forgot her name) was too busy flirting with the table next to us and only checked on me and my friends twice. it made me wonder what kind of tip she was working for from those guys. i always have grace with workers working in food/ retail especially if its busy, but it was DEAD this night. will i be back? maybe but it definitely won’t be my first choice.

I was off work late , and I had to find a place to eat . It was hard to find a restaurant at 10 p.m., but Yard House came through I just got appetizers , but they were really good 👍🏼. Service was good with a friendly staff . I got the calamari appetizer , which was soooooo good. My dish came out nice and warm . I also got some bone in hot wings. I am not big on breaded hot wings, but these were good . If you are in the area and looking for food or a drink , Yard House will do . They are open until 11p.m. The appetizers were good and filled me up , so I am sure that the regular meals are good too .

Really liked this place. Drinks and beer selection is solid. The poke nachos are the best. The service was fast and our waiter was great. The entrees are good, and the overall vibe is chill and fun. Happy hour caught my eye too.

We came for happy hour. Their apps were half price! These days, that is unheard of. Food was great. Millions of beers to choose from--that was fun. Between the beer list and the great priced apps, we were quite happy. My husband did whine about the tablet to pay. He would have drawn the line at ordering that way but we had a server who came by to order for us and was on top of it. (We can call him old school but he just is a professional in the restaurant industry.)

We have always loved Yard House and have consistently had great experiences at the Yard House - Mission Valley location before we moved, and more recently at the Yard House - Temecula. Unfortunately, our visit to the Carlsbad location was the first truly disappointing experience we have ever had. We stopped in on our way home from an event, just hoping for a few appetizers and drinks. From the moment we walked in, the host seemed visibly annoyed that guests were arriving. When we said there were two of us, she told us it would be a long wait because they were super busy. We said that was totally fine and even mentioned we were happy to sit at the bar. She rolled her eyes and said they had a table if we did not care about not getting a booth. We actually prefer high tops, so that was never an issue. Our server seemed just as irritated to have been sat with another table. Since we dine at Yard House often, we were ready to order everything when he came over. He told us he would take drink orders first and come back for food. That would have been fine, except it took so long for him to return that our drinks were dropped off by someone else. We ordered three appetizers and said they could all come out whenever they were ready. Everything did come out together, which was fine, but the quality was not. The chicken nachos were extremely overcooked, with chips that were brown and some nearly black. The fries with our sliders were not hot. We asked for ranch when we ordered, and when the food was dropped off we asked again, but it never came. The server finally checked on us when we were almost completely finished. It was just an overall disappointing experience from start to finish. We have never had a bad Yard House experience until this visit, and that made it even more surprising.

I usually have a good time here for HH. I think it was just too busy. My friend was waiting in line to be seated. It didn't take long to be seated, but that was the first time I've ever waited to be seated. We got a booth. I like getting a booth. It's just so comfortably dark. We came during HH so we got a beer, espresso martini, chicken nachos, and poke nachos. My espresso martini was good, but they put too much cinnamon and nutmeg on top. It made me choke a bit. The chicken nachos are always great and such a great price during HH. I was a little upset about the poke nachos coming later. I'm so use to them coming at the same time as the chicken nachos that I thought it was strange. They were making so much of them all together is what happened. I was disappointed by the taste of it. It just tasted different to me and I won't be ordering it next time. Great HH price, but I would like to try other food next time.

Server was not friendly whatsoever. Food was old and not good at all, and we waited a long time for our food for it to be not good. It was really upsetting.

I always bring a book and sit at the bar. The staff is always friendly too. This place is perfect for hanging with the bros, a girls' night, or a fun date spot.

First time at this location and I enjoyed our waiter. Super friendly and helpful. We got the onion rings and lemon pepper wings for starters... the lemon pepper wings!!! O M G!! They were so yummy! I was sad we were sharing! ...haha. We all got the 20oz Steak and it was so tender. The food was really good at this location. I went with my coworkers after work lunch and we really enjoyed the atmosphere at this location. Definitely a great spot for beers and watching sports too.

This was such a great afternoon lunch spot! We sat outside on the patio and the weather made it even better. The service was timely and attentive, and our server Nelly was upbeat and genuinely friendly. We ordered the garlic noodles, traditional BBQ wings, and the Oreo cookie dessert. The wings came out perfectly, just as delicious as they looked! And the dessert was easily one of the best I've had in a while. I'd come back again for all of it.

I really like spot for happy hour. Who doesn't like half off select appetizers and discounted beverages? It's nice to have a shaded patio to enjoy cold drinks and food on a hot day. I always get the poke nachos with sauce and Serranos on the side. It's been a bit since I've been and while the dish size has remained the same the amount of ahi has decreased (hopefully, just this visit). We also tried the lettuce wrap, which we agreed was good too. The Miguel's queso with chips & tortillas was good, but our least favorite of the 3. I'll definitely be back for the happy hour with friends as we all enjoyed it.

Great salads, appetizers and service. Went on a Thursday and wasn't too crowded. Will definitely be back.

Located front and center at The Shoppes at Carlsbad, the Yard House is my go-to for a chill time, great food, and tasty cocktails. I'm never ever disappointed with the service. The staff is always friendly. There's something for everyone to enjoy for lunch, dinner, happy hour and late night - known for its extensive menu. It's also known as the world's largest selection of draft beer. Their Happy Hour is the BESTEST...must say the happiest hours of my day :-) Do I need to say more? Just come to the Yard!!

Came here with my familiy amd loved it! We were able to get a table right away and the servers were nice and took our drink order quickly. We were sat at a booth which was pretty spacious as well. We ordered a few appetizers and were blown away with the size and flavor. I recommend getting the Korean Chili wings if you like spice! Our main courses were also delicious and well sized. We had to get togo containers for the excess. I definately recommend coming here.

Decent. Menus always seem kind of sticky Food is ok - some good, some not so good. The garlic noodles are good but the lobster noodles are bland; expensive for what you get. The chicken lettuce wraps are good too Service - usually pretty good but last time we went one of the waitresses seemed to be in a bad mood.. maybe she was having a bad day Location - inside the mall & very loud inside We come here when we are at the mall and need to grab something to eat, but usually takes a long time. They have a kid's menu, so helpful for those of us with kiddos

Had lunch at the bar with a gf of mine. Huge bar and huge menu. It's always hard to figure out what to eat here. But I got the cali stack. Crab and avo chunks of cucumber but there was too much sauce/dressing on it. That was the only unfortunate thing about the meal. It had a pool of liquid. My f=gf got the chicken strips which were great. Crunchy with the breading flavorful and the ranch fantastic. Her drink was good too. They have a full bar so you can get martinis, specialty drinks or just beer and wine. Located at the carlsbad mall. Tons of parking, huge place, bar and lots of tables. Even a large outside patio, great for large parties.

This is a good spot later at night when many other places are closed. They also have a late night happy hour which is good. We usually sit at the bar and receive excellent service. Their tomato soup is one of my favorites.

i got the steak bowl tonight for dinner. i mean i guess it was alright...no major complants..

I've always only had good experiences at this Yard House location. I love coming here for the wings and onions rings. I went today and as always had a great experience. The wait time was about 10 mins and the food came out pretty quickly. My server Andrea, was very kind and attentive. Overall 10/10.

I was there on Memorial Day 2025. I haven't been at a yard house in about a year. My experience wasn't the best. Tables smelled like wet rag, our server encourages us to use the tablet when ordering and it ended not letting us order a couple of our wanted items. She took a really long time to help us and overall the place looked messy. I hope it was only a one time experience, but it wasn't enough to not encourage me to go back. I don't really ask for a lot, and I'm Very understanding. But it felt like they're not trying anymore. I only gave 2 starts because the beer was good.

I go to this Yard House with my friends all the time. I love that there's a really diverse menu. As an appetizer lover, I can always find something here that I want.

One of my favorite places for happy hour Great deals! Happy hour is Monday - Friday 3-6pm Had the sliders and they were excellent Service was very friendly! Checked on us numerous times to make sure we were well taken care of! Free birthday desert as well, thanks yardhouse.

We came here on a Monday during happy hour and the service was so good! It was crowded and they sat us in a booth that could fit six people since we had some more people coming to meet us. I ordered the half yard blood orange ipa and it was delicious. We shared the nachos, a pretzel, a pizza, and the cheese curds! The portions were big and the happy hour deals were great. I would definitely come back here for happy hour or to watch a sports event. The vibes are great and the workers are all friendly!

Their happy hour is really great 1/2 off all appetizers & pizza and $2 off all beers & cocktails. The appetizers are all pretty nice big portions as well! For sharing the chicken nachos are amazing! Huge plate and really delicious. My favorite is their poke nachos, so good! Never had a bad experience with their service, just know at more popular dining times especially weekends they can have a wait for a table.

TL;DR Tasty queso and chips and a sour called "Stupid Silly Sour". The queso with the chips were really good. Korean barbecue cheesesteak was okay. Kind of small for the price. The fries it came with were a bit bland, were not fresh nor crispy. The onion rings were decent and not served with any dip. The cheese pizza was not good. It was bland and the crust had a very charred flavor to it. Really enjoyed the Stupid silly sour they serve here as well. The staff was very accommodating and helpful and patient with some of the questions we had regarding dietary restrictions. Plenty of spaces made parking a breeze. Prices were a bit high for the food, but pretty standard for the alcohol. Didn't like the majority of the entrees I tried, so I wouldn't be eager about coming back for the food, but it is a fun spot to try some apps and drinks at.

First time here and such a great experience! The food was incredibly tasty and wonderful, we were seated quickly, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back!

Love that they are open late and have a wide range of options!!! Everything is always delicious!

Four of us for lunch inside: Pepper Jack with onion rings, Cobb Salad with (grilled) Shrimp, BBQ Bacon Burger with fries, Fried Hot Chicken Sandwich with fries. The two 1/2 pound burgers were nice looking and sized right, both ordered as medium but seemed to be more medium rare. Cobb salad was what a Cobb should be, traditional with nicely grilled shrimp on a skewer. The chicken sandwich disappeared pretty fast so it must have been great. Service was good and the restaurant was designed to be roomy and reduced noise level.

I just got back from our first visit to Yard House. I am completely outside their target demographic--I'm probably more than twice the age of their average customer--but food is food and beer is beer. It was not unpleasant, and we will probably go back. We went because the ads made it seem interesting. Ambiance: I was worried that it would be too noisy and too boisterous. It was fine, but there wasn't a major sports event happening. It was not hard to find parking and we were seated within 5 minutes or so. The staff were great; we had great service and enjoyed dealing with the several servers who came to our table. Five-star rating for the staff. Drink: I never did find the beer I wanted. There were so many choices. I am a big fan of South African citrus beers, and the "Cali Squeeze" blood orange beer available in SoCal is pretty close to perfect for me. I was too hungry to study the huge beer menu, and now that I'm home writing this review I see that Yard House does serve Cali Squeeze, but I didn't find it in time to order it. Oh well. Food: Very interesting. We ordered several things, planning to try some of each. Their advertising focuses on pizza, but we weren't in the mood for pizza. The dishes that we ordered and ate were fancied-up versions of classics. World-class chefs love to fancy-up ordinary dishes. Yard House can't afford world-class chefs, and it might be better if they just made standard versions of things without trying to fancy them up. We passed a bowl of tortilla soup back and forth between us, trying to decide if it had any of the standard tortilla soup ingredients in it. We concluded that it did not, except of course for the tortilla chips. The "truffle fries" mostly tasted not of truffles but of thyme and parsley. The weak truffle flavor told me they were made with white truffle oil and not black. But we ate half of them; they weren't bad. They just weren't magic. And so on. Next time we go there, we'll order things that are hard to get wrong, like burgers and chicken wings and pizza. And now that I know they carry Cali Squeeze, I'll surely have one of those too.

ROXY, THE ONION GODDESS OF YARD HOUSE -- I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU Let me tell you something: I've dined in castles. I've sipped espresso in Rome. I've tasted truffle butter on a yacht in the Adriatic. But NOTHING -- and I mean NOTHING -- compares to the moment Roxy at Yard House brought me free onions. Not on the receipt. Not hidden in some upcharge. Not whispered about in a secret menu. Just delivered. Pure. Caramelized. Glorious. When she placed them in front of me, time stopped. Somewhere in the distance, an eagle cried. I swear the lights dimmed and a single spotlight beamed down from the heavens onto those onions. I made eye contact with Roxy. She knew what she had done. And I knew I'd never be the same. The burger? Irrelevant. The fries? Mere mortals in comparison. The drink? Probably good, but I was too busy ascending to another plane of flavor consciousness. Roxy didn't just bring me onions. She brought me hope. She brought me life. She looked into my soul and said, "This man needs onions." And she delivered. If you go to Yard House and Roxy isn't your server? Turn around. Leave. Go home. Meditate. Try again. Because without Roxy, it's just a restaurant. But with her? It's a revival. A revolution. A religion. 11/10. Bring Roxy a medal. Bring her a parade. Bring her my eternal gratitude.

Last night I had to have an Impromptu mid week Bestie dinner date!! much needed because My Monday and Tuesday were so crappy :( Immediately cheered up as i walked in -great atmosphere good amount of people with still room for us close to the bar. Our server Rebecca was awesome and attentive. 1st and foremost Thank you Yard House for the alcoholic drinks :) haha -Ahi Nachos/the wonton chips are still calling my name as i'm writing this review and Vodka chicken penne cooked perfectly. Everything was perfect! looking forward to coming again soon! 5stars

Yesterday we celebrated 2 birthdays. Mine and a good friend of mine share the same birthday. I'm pretty sure this is the 4th or 5th time we've done it at the Yard House. This location is always top notch. It's always a large group of us. The food was excellent as usual and the folks are great I only have a picture of my leftover Spicy Jambalaya that I always order. It's the absolute bomb! They also brought both birthday guys ice cream and a dessert pastry. I love going to this place. You want be disappointed.

The best happy hour in town- awesome selection and quality is amazing - the staff is incredibly attentive and friendly - it's got great TVs and plenty of seating and a very modern ambiance - I can't recommend this place enough

Came here for a birthday. They have great selections of beers. We started with the pretzel which is always good. Then got the vodka penne, burger, jambalaya, and mushroom pizza. I have to say the mushroom truffle pizza was surprisingly delicious! I would order again.

Have been here a few times but my go to is these tacos. Carne asada tacos, vampire style (melted cheese outside the tortilla) I can only eat 2 but you can order 3 as well. Had good flavor. If you don't like "spice" then do not order the rice and beans. I know everyone's levels are different, to me it's not spicy but to eat their own. We did order truffle fries but distribution of the truffle oil was hot or miss. Some fries didn't have any truffle oil where some had a lot. We've had them before at other locations and they tasted different. That would be the only thing off about our meal. Everything was edible so no complaints here. Service this time around was good, waitress was attentive. Even at arrival we were seated right away. We did come mid day. Would return.

Great place for happy hour. Pets in patio are allowed also big plus. There were 3 of us and we arrived at 4:30. Perfect time not crowded got a booth on patio. We all had a drink and ordered: Chicken tenders with fries Cheese curd Lettuce wraps with chicken And buffalo pizza. Good was really good and Diego our server very pleasant. The bill less than $70 total. Great price great food great happy hour.. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I come here for lunch almost every weekend. We love the upbeat atmosphere and there are plenty of TVs to catch a game. I always order the stacked turkey club; it's my favorite! The staff is very friendly and service is quick. We love it here!

The food options were delicious, the mocktails and cocktails are always a hit! Highly recommend the scorched melon and Jen's blackberry! The patio is heated and covered making for a great late night spot.

yard House has a great happy hour! Been going here for quite sometime and definitely one of our favorite restaurants. my favorite appetizer is the Poke nachos. Great bar and dining room is big! Service is always great!

We were seated immediately. The place is dog friendly in the patio. But we did have our service dogs with us and chose to sit in the patio. The server was nice and kept checking back on us. They share a parking lot with other restaurants in the shoppes at carlsbad. Parking is hard on Fridays and weekends as there are many shoppers and diners. We finally got a parking lot very far from where we were dining. They were very busy on Friday night. And the food and drinks took pretty long to come. We ordered a cadillac margarita and a strawberry mule. The drinks were pretty good, but took some time to come. Much longer than expected. Then my husband ordered an 8oz steak with a salad. And I ordered a kurobata pork burger with fries. We had to wave our server down to check ok our status of our salads and food. The food took pretty long to coke out. Salad was fresh. My husband's steak was good. His carrots came out cold. The asparagus and mash were also good for him. My burger was lukewarm, and so were my fries. The sauce on the bread caused the bottom layer to be soggy. The brioche bun was also just a tad bit cooler than expected. There were a lot of other patrons thay night and it was a little noisy as expected. What we didn't appreciate was that the other patrons got up from their table and just kind of hung around our table chatting. It wasn't cool to sit down at our table and basically watch human butts. This was a repeat visit. But it wasn't as great as our initial visits. Probably just because they were too busy.

Had a nice meal with my wife and a friend. We sat outside on a beautiful evening. I had the 8 oz filet with mash and veg, paired with a Cadillac margarita. The wife had the kurobuta pork sandwich. With fries and a strawberry mule. My veg was cold but the steak and mash very nice. My wife was not impressed with her burger. And overall I felt our waitress was over tasked causing slow service.

I went during happy hour and their menu is honestly such a great deal. Tons of options and really good portions for the price. I also ordered a burger and it was deliciously juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. Everything tasted fresh, and the fries were crispy and satisfying. You can't go wrong with classic comfort food done well. Vibe was great too, perfect for a casual hangout or a quick bite after work.

The food there was good for an easy quick lunch I thought that the cane asada taco were amazing but I would recommend getting extra bean no rice the rice is ok no the best

We love Yard House but had a bad experience. It was Sunday night and the place was a little quieter than usual. We started with a great server who was all over getting drinks, letting us peruse the menu, etc. She had to go on break, so another one took over. It seemed like we were not that important: she took the order then we didn't see her or anyone for a very long time. No asking for additional beverages, not asking if we needed water...crickets. We saw others getting their food and they had placed their orders long after ours. So we finally caught the eye of the replacement server and as she turned to flag the expeditor, our food came. It had obviously been under a warmer for quite a while, but we didn't make a fuss. Too long and too little attention. The last thing? They now pile the beans on top of the rice and that is not how we like it. Sometimes we don't want one or the other, but this was mixed together. It was disappointing, but we will go again to give it another chance.

Portions were massive. I had the whiskey burger which huge. The half size adult Mac n cheese is also enough for two people. DRINKS: golden margarita was good, dragon fruit smoked margarita was nasty and upset my stomach. Really robust beer selection SEATING: I like the dark booths, very cozy and private SERVICE: good! quick on food and drinks, friendly Overall: good suburban chain option, def interested in making happy hour from 3-6 (10pm happy hour is $2 off drinks which is decent but nothing to write home about)

The wait wasn't long, service was great, we enjoyed the food and the ambiance. We will be back.

Yet another disappointing outing at yard house. It's getting predictably bad at yard house. We placed a pickup order for 2 meals. We opened the meals and found that we were missing sides and the orders were wrong. I would love to say this was a one time thing but it's become normal. I will probably not return after this time.

We love their happy hour! We probably get this once a week at this point haha they have great and quick customer service too!

love yardies till the end of our days. We have been trying to slowly (very slowly lol) work through the menu bc they have such a variety of choices and we have never had anything bad. No matter the location, the service is good as well as the atmosphere. Happy hour is truly the best deal considering most appetizers and drinks are on the menu. Their regular menu is also extremely fair in price and for the portion you're getting it's amazing. The appetizers are to die for but make sure you leave room for your entree The vibe is classic rock sports and great beer, but majorly elevated. Family friendly and can comfortably compensate for large parties but i would call ahead to make sure. everyone is always very nice and understand the menu perfectly. Food always comes out very fast and it never misses the mark. parking and location is at the carlsbad mall which leads for shopping and walking before or after meal time. Obviously the parking situation can vary based on the time of year considering it's by the mall, but we have never waited more than 5-10mimutes max. Will always come back because it's literally the perfect dinner!

Rachel was our waitress tonight and we had and amazing time and Rachel was awesome and very attentive to our needs. Yard House is always a vibe.
