Yasubei of Ebisu

We tried the gyoza and absolutely loved it. The wrappers were incredibly thin and perfectly crispy, while the filling was flavorful and well-balanced. Simple, well-executed, and really satisfying. Definitely worth a visit if you appreciate great gyoza.

Worth the cold raining weather to come from Ginza here for thier Gyoza. Nice, thin and crispy!!! Ordered 3 portions and we clean it all. The egg is nice and warm. Feel us the warm from the cold weather. It was abtout 9degree but feel like 0 outside. Will come again if i visit Tokyo.

Yasubei in Ebisu is such a cozy and comforting spot! I had the oden, Yuzu sour, and crispy gyoza—it was all absolutely delicious. Watching the chef make the gyoza right in front of you adds such a special touch to the experience. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food and a warm, inviting atmosphere!

Wanted to give this highly popular bite-size dumpling izakaya a try. We arrived around 5pm and were able to get inside immediately. Tried both fried and boiled dumplings, amongst which I personally prefer the boiled dumplings that comes with an excellent dipping soup. However, I honestly don't believe it's worth waiting in line. The best gyoza i tasted in Tokyo. We tried also different tapas. Everything was delicious. Highly recommended. It’s local place and only cash accepted. We were the only tourists in the place while we were having our dinner.

Recommended to us so we were happy to make the travel from Shinjuku. Food was soooo good. We had the pork ramen, potato salad & fried gyozas - will be dreaming of this meal. We came at 5:30 (they open at 5) and there was a line. We did have to wait about 30 minutes but it wasn’t too bad - was worth it. Will definitely revisit. Also, cash only.

Delicious food, especially the gyozas. Service was decent but I can see how it could be better when the place is less crowded. Atmosphere was a normal bustling izakaya atmosphere, so if you like that, this is your spot. I wanted to try delicious gyoza while I was in Japan and this place definitely fulfilled that need!

Waited an hour on a random Thursday but still worth it! The gyozas were crispy and juicy I thought I could eat 10 plates worth. But surprisingly I would say the potato salad was the best dish. They let u smash it urself to your preferred texture and the taste is amazing as well. Definitely recommend going. I suggest coming early to avoid long queues.
