We celebrated Thanksgiving with these amazing folks. During our travels, we made it to the Grand Canyon for the holiday. We were thrilled to learn about the feast they prepared. Everything was delicious and the staff was very caring and nice. We can’t tell you how much we appreciated your efforts and care.

Food was like a bad school cafeteria. Price is reasonable considering it’s inside the national park. The wait line is reeeeaaaaly long. I found pizza in the super market nearby and that was a much better meal and also cheaper, not wait line. I wouldn’t come here again

Google
This is like a cafeteria. The menu included many choices of protein, some sides, salad, a dessert and a drink. Portions were huge and overall very good. Great stop after a hike.

The food is pretty good. I was able to get a full stomach before staying overnight. I got the small portion for 23.99(25.65). I think the large portion was 32.99 and the kids portion is 16.99.

Breakfast was okay. One of us ordered the travelers breakfast and got some ala cart items. The sausage I got was cold but tasted good. Son enjoyed his French toast. Dinner was much better. My mom and I got a large chuck wagon to share and it came with lots of food. All of it was pretty good. Brisket was good pork was dry. Mac and cheese were good. Pretzel roll was yummy! Apple crisp also very good! Just make sure to get there as soon as possible after sunset it gets busy around 7. The process was not very organized and the line can get long. The dinner was probably the better tasting food we had at the park.

To give this place even star hurts my soul. It is not just poor cooked, it is BAD food, like spoiled bad. The employees appear to be from the cast of the walking dead. If you consume the catfish, you should immediately induce vomiting bc there are no Medical services near here. The fajitas are hard 2 on. Scale of one to 100. Chewy does not begin to even scratch the surface of what these are. If you eat after reading this you are getting everything you deserve. Even breakfast if horrific, like half cooked eggs? How about raw bacon? Honestly I have had a better meal in a back alley in Tijuana. God Bless!

Google
This is a cafeteria, but as good as it gets!! I had dinner & breakfast here. Dinner, there were 4 entree meats to choose from (all looked delicious), you get 2 sides (of a 4+ lineup), and there’s several dessert options. For breakfast, there’s several scramble options, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, French toast, cut fruit, and yogurt. Such spreads!! They offer takeout. Very gluten free friendly. Noticeably kind & happy staff. Regarding price - it’s the Grand Canyon & they give you so much food to make it worthwhile. I loved it!

Google
Food was surprisingly delicious. Especially the brisket. The place gets a little crazy and disorganized, but mostly from the patrons trying to rush through. Was crazy busy, but pretty efficient if you stay in line. People trying to hold a table and rush through the lines is what caused the confusion. Process: 3 stars. place your order then get in cafeteria style line for main entrees and drinks. Then the salad bar and drink lines. Salad bar needed to get refreshed, but otherwise decent. Basic, but decent. Pet's were only allowed on one side of the dining hall. Wasn't clear until someone told us and wasn't very nice about it. At least they do have a section for pets. Would be nice if they had signs or were more friendly about it. Food. 4.5 stars. Brisket, veggies, and pozole were all very tasty. Salad bar was basic, but fresh. Soda fountain had many options, which was nice. Service: 4 stars. Some really nice people, especially at the food service line. Person who kicked us out of line because of our dog, not so much. Given the options are limited in the park, it's nice to have a decent option. Pro tip: only microwave on the property is in the dining hall. If you need to reheat some leftover or like us, our dog food, come to the dining hall.

Yelp
This is a convenient casual dining hall nearby Yavapai Lodge, but that's all it had going for it. The food quality at dinner is average at best. We arrived during prime dinner time and the food being served did not look fresh. The pizza is made to order, but it lacked flavor and a stable crust. What stuck out to me was how confusing it was to order and pay on the kiosk. We returned the next day to try their breakfast buffet and the experience was not any better. Food selections were low and quality low. You are better off eating at the restaurants closer to the South Rim.

Chiseko I.

Yelp
Since this restaurant seemed to be the only one option I could choose around the lodge, I visited here. At 6:30 pm, there was a long queue at the Yavapai Tavern. The apple and kale salad was tasty and the chili soup was thick. I was glad to fuel myself. I was satisfied with the dishes here considering that transporting ingredients from downtown takes time and effort. After I left the restaurant, I was able to see many stars in the sky that I cannot usually see in large cities with light on the ground.

Yelp
This sufficiently fed us in the park haha the pizza really was meh - we added hot sauce to the vegetarian pizza to try to add some flavor. Pretty bland. The pork sandwich was good though! Plenty of seating. Food came pretty quickly. And staff were friendly. Super laid back environment and busy with visitors and tourist busses.

Anumeha T.

Yelp
Love love love our dinner here! It's so amazing to find such vegetarian friendly place far away in this national park! This was beyond our expectations. Not just finding these many vegetarian options but they were equally amazing in taste. Started our dinner with such warm and heart vegan chili which had amazing balance of all the components. Super healthy and no compromise in taste. The black bean taco was so juicy and tasty - it's spicy so if one can handle it. The chickpea salad with pita bread was such a healthy side too! Wish they had given some more pita bread with it And I loved the miso ginger noodle - it's cold but amazing flavor balance and filling too. Service is super quick too. Also we didn't go over a super busy weekend.

Randy R.

Yelp
Don't get anything but the pizza. Got a pizza for 3 kids and they liked it. Got the large chuck wagon for two adults, and it was nasty. Salmon was dry from sitting out too long, and the brisket- they didn't trim the fat (why would you when you can serve it up) and the meat when you could get it was dry. The Yukon potatoes was the best side. The carrots were grossly overcooked, the Mac-n-cheese was not horrible.

Saysha B.

Yelp
The soup and salad we ordered did not taste good. The tomato soup tasted like spicy pizza sauce and the salad dressing was thick, sparse, and tart with peaches that weren't quite ripe. Service was good in terms of speed and kindness. We went in the winter and liked the hot cocoa. Overall, from this small sample we'd recommend the Deli across the way if it's open.

Katie W.

Yelp
We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was here. Got the chuck wagon meal with catfish, potatoes and veggies. Portions were generous and food was tasty. Staff was prompt and friendly.

Kevin Z.

Yelp
If you're staying the night within the Grand Canyon national park grounds, this is a much welcomed dinner spot after a busy day of hiking! Food is served cafeteria style. While a bit pricey for the portion sizes, the entree items were quite good. We enjoyed the brisket, potatoes, collard greens, and salmon the most. The pizza was unfortunately quite dry and bland. As a dining hall, the ambience can be a bit hectic with everyone searching for places to sit.

Matt C.

Yelp
Look, man. There's a reason the reviews are consistently low. Ridiculous prices for low quality food, and essentially, non existent service. It's a no from me. Am I self aware? Extremely. We're at the Grand freakin' Canyon! No one comes here for a swanky meal. You come here for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Dad and I stayed on property at the Yavapai Lodge. After an early morning sunrise exploration we wound up here for breakfast. It's breakfast, y'all. When breakfast is less than mediocre, you know drastic improvements need to be made. Especially when you're charging $20 a person. For starters, it's a breakfast buffet BUT staffers are serving YOU. It's not self serve. So we were waiting around twiddling our thumbs while an employee finally made their way behind the counter to scoop eggs onto our plates. By the looks alone, you can tell the food had been sitting awhile. By the taste of it, we left wanting more. So. Much. More. The meats, the eggs, the potatoes, all of it was overcooked. On an empty stomach we tried to find the bright side. Bottomless coffee? From Starbucks? Even the cup of joe had a dark, bitter taste to it. None of us are looking for atmosphere or exceptional service or michelin-star food at hotel cafeterias like this. But like I said earlier, $40 for breakfast? For eggs and bacon? My dogs eat higher quality food than this if I'm being honest. My recommendation would be to skip breakfast, go to the general store across the parking lot and make yourself a nice little picnic lunch. Or head over to the other hotel restaurants near the Bright Angel Trail. You'll be better off there.

Miss J.

Yelp
It's a nice dining hall where you can order a la carte or cafeteria style. We had a good dinner and did not wait long despite the long lines. It was tough to find a seat but all in all a good experience and fun! Menu was vegetarian friendly and the sides looked good. Carrot cake and chocolate cake were delicious and not too sweet.

Angela K.

Yelp
Are here twice after touring the Grand Canyon and it was much better then bright Angel. Don't pass up if in had Vicinity.

Danielle F.

Yelp
A solid 4 star place. It was a good amount of food quality. Prices are comparable with other "tourist" places but again I think for the amount and quality of food from what is basically a cafeteria, it was great. The only thing I didn't like was the cake. It was German chocolate and kind of dry.

Adam M.

Yelp
Very good food that was both tasty and healthy. High quality food with generous portions. Perfect for both our pre-hike and post-hike meals.

Mark F.

Yelp
My family's first trip to the Grand Canyon was enjoyable overall. We splurged and stayed in the park, but the food options surrounding Yavapai Lodge left much to be desired. I understand that prices will be higher inside the park, but I was disappointed that the food was not that good. The staff were friendly overall. Out of convenience, my family ate two meals here, dinner and breakfast. Both meals were pricy. And both meals were not that good. Breakfast was more palatable than dinner in my opinion and a better deal. DINNER - the brisket was terribly dry. I had to season it and drown it in A1 in order to convince my tastebuds not to waste the money spent on this meal. - The black beans were actually tastier than my brisket, sadly - The greens in my self-serve salad were fresh - The chicken noodle soup was ok, but lacking enough chicken - Kids Meal Burger comes with apple, orange or baby carrots? Why no option for fries? My kids enjoyed the oranges but really wanted fries after I made them trek all day. BREAKFAST - Powdered eggs - dry sausage links - floppy bacon - hash browns My buttermilk biscuit would have made better use being served during skeet shooting rather than on anyone's plate. I would only eat here again if I had no other choice. In my case, The convenience outweighed the extra time and effort to travel elsewhere in the park for a better meal.

Ziyan C.

Yelp
We were wondering how a place could charge so much and have such mediocre food but realized it was the same as an airport restaurant: Because they can. We're in a national park, miles from any other option. If you're in Yavapei, yes this cafeteria is convenient, but the food at the Tavern is significantly better. The set up here is confusing. Everyone is in a huge line, and the signage is unclear. It turns out you can pre-order and pre-pay at a kiosk (with the huge line blocking them, it's very possible a kiosk is wide open but no one in line realizes they can take it), or you can go up to the counter and ask for food a la carte and pay afterwards. I suppose the only difference is you can see your food in person with the latter option. Oh, you can skip the huge line and go to the Tavern off to the left. There may be a line there as well, but it's probably not as long, moves fairly fast, and the food is much better. My partner got the Chuck Wagon BBQ and the ribs were terrible. I got a 7" pizza and it was surprisingly decent, for cafeteria food (don't expect thin crust pizza or anything fancy!). It was made fresh to order and had a thin layer of crisp at the bottom, plenty of tomato sauce, and they used dice red onion (instead of strips of white onion) which I enjoyed.

Sue H.

Yelp
Ok. I am mystified by this low star rating. This place is FANTASTIC at doing what it does, and what it does is PRECISELY what it needs to do given where it is. This isn't really a cafeteria. It's really a buffet with options served by incredibly pleasant and proud providers of sustenance. They manage to serve exhausted hikers and busloads of tours quickly, and in our two sequential visits, we were VERY impressed by the food quality. Our nights, they had entrees of house made turkey, brisket, trout, and vegetarian tamales. Sides included lovely, well-seasoned carrots, broccoli & cauliflower, potatoes, baked beans. Dessert and salad as further add-ones to the "Chuckwagon Dinner." If you had to design a meal you'd like, made to very good quality, at a speed that allows you to be fed when you're hungry...this is the model you'd choose. It doesn't feel like a cafeteria. Kind-hearted service people serve you from woks and Dutch ovens on a line. And the value...omg...the value is far ahead of the $22, all-in price point. It's the bomb. If we were here a 3rd night, we'd return.

Ian B.

Yelp
A standout in desert of good food options! Good value for families! The evening chuckwagon option excellent options such as salmon with salad, drink and desert comes to my mind.

C. A.

Yelp
This is a cafeteria style restaurant. You get a choice among several entrees and several sides. The quality of the food is good. They have a huge selection of self-serve beverages, and the salad bar is self-serve. All businesses at the Grand Canyon charge tourist prices, but Yavapai is probably the most reasonable.

D B.

Yelp
The Yavapai Lodge Cafeteria wasn't open when we arrived, but the adjacent Yavapai Tavern was. Orders are placed at the counter and you can sit in the tavern or the cafeteria. The food is brought to the table. I ordered the pueblo burger ($16.99); which came with a pickle and potato salad. While it wasn't the best burger I've had, it was good enough.

Tiffany O.

Yelp
The atmosphere at the lodge is great - in the winter it feels like a ski lodge. They offered a wide variety of foods for supper ($$) and the bar was open until 9:00PM. Only recommendation would be to extend the coffee shop hours, as it closed at 2:00 PM and would have been nice to get a nighttime coffee.

Georgina G.

Yelp
A wonderful and affordable place to come eat. Plenty of options to choose from, vegetarian meals were available. Portions were good and especially the kids-sized portion which is what both my husband and I got for like $8 each or less. We both got a quarter chicken with 2 sides. You actually place and pay for your order up front at a kiosk and then you go to a counter with your receipt which a server will take from you and put the food on your plate as you tell them what you want. The server was friendly and helpful. They gave us plenty of food. I got a side salad which I took to the salad bar to customize. They have plenty of toppings and dressings and hot sauces too. The dining area was pleasant and nicely decorated with Southwestern influences. You sit wherever you want and then when you're finished, a busboy will come take your plates. I can't remember if we left a tip on the table, but I am sure if we did it was much appreciated. The Yavapai Lodge also has a Tavern next to the Cafeteria as well as a separate coffee/pastry/ice cream shop all co-located in the same building. We dined here twice - once for dinner and on our last day for a light lunch after we checked out.

Jennifer N.

Yelp
I mean, it's fine. We were staying at the Yavapi Lodge and didn't feel like wandering far for dinner one night. I got the soup and salad bar which was $12.95 and again, fine for what it was-a salad bar in the middle of a National Park. The cheddar poblano soup was quite good but the salad bar fixings were a bit drab-basically lettuce, tomatoes, carrots and chick peas with some cranberries was all that interested me. They were also running low at the salad bar. If you're just looking to eat a simple meal near the hotel, then it's definitely convenient. Be warned though, the order and payment process seemed to be absolute bedlam. No one seemed to know where to order, where to pay, etc. I was super tired from a long day of traveling so I was fine with just a simple dinner close to where I was staying. Don't expect great food but, again, it's the convenience factor.

Ash G.

Yelp
Last month my man & I stayed in Yavapai Lodge for 3 nights & since the lodge was the closest place to get meals we ended eating there for a few times during our trip & I must say is was very good for a lodge cafeteria. There was a decent amount of selection & I was impressed with how good the meals were and the portions were great, the prices however not that great, but it's a lodge in the Grand Canyon so of course it was going to be on the pricey side. My man & I expected that so it was no issue. On our first night visiting we took our meal of pizza & a small cup of chicken dumpling soup to go and they were good, really good actually. The next day we had breakfast which consisted of a breakfast burrito & breakfast sandwich which were meh. The tortilla on burrito was burnt & didn't have enough meat & the breakfast sandwich was so small. That wasn't an ideal meal, but we still came back for lunch & the star for us was the vegan chili during lunch (we're not vegans) which was absolutely delicious & filling. Our last night we had dinner here & I got the trout & he got the turkey which was definitely a filling meal. Made up for the skimpy breakfast that's for sure. There was a worker here named Trejo that was just so helpful, friendly, & an overall awesome employee with a great outgoing personality, if we come back to visit the Grand Canyon we'll stop by the lodge to say hello to him if he's still here & grab a bite here again. Trejo if you see this shout out from Cali, giving a 4 because the meals were decent but that breakfast was just a no

Charlotte M.

Yelp
Food overpriced and choices minimal. We went for dinner. Breakfast might be better. Staff ok.

Local E.

Yelp
You don't go to the Grand Canyon for fine dining and so that's why this gets 5 stars. The employees do a great job and the cooks do a good job with what they are provided to work with. If you like people watching, it's worth a visit.

Mary B.

Yelp
Perfect spot for breakfast before heading out for the day. I had chocolate chip pancakes. My partner ordered the buffet option that had lots of delicious choices. Very friendly staff!

Xia Y.

Yelp
Decent food, nothing phenomenal or satisfying. After a days hike we were very hungry but didn't want to drive out of the National park to find decent food so we just settle for the cafeteria. If we knew the tavern was next to it, we probably would've sat there instead.

Dominic F.

Yelp
The hotel is great. The tavern is awesome. The cafeteria was like a bad Vegas Casino buffet. Powdered eggs. Overcooked bacon. The sausage was the only thing edible. The French toast could not be made moist no matter how much syrup you put on it. The orange juice was even off. Not worth the money.

Rodney Y.

Yelp
Wow. So disappointing. I realize it is a National Park and this is a cafeteria, but c'mon! Beef brisket and squash were decent, but everything else except the service was sooo disappointing. My wife's trout was so overcooked it was like Jerky. The broccoli was way overripe and tough. That was not a pretzel roll as touted. And the pork and turkey dishes looked....are you proud of these entrees? After a fun day of hiking, a good meal would have be pleasant - don't expect it here.

Brenda M.

Yelp
We stopped by here to eat lunch. We ordered beer, was given the wrong kind, burgers were a Costco frozen patty cooked to charcoal. Server brought our food, no eating utensils, told we had to go get them ourselves up the stairs into another room. Really poor service for what the cost was. $120 for four people.

Greg B.

Yelp
The atmosphere feels like a cheap Disney restaurant, limited menu with a super long line just to order food. Went went at 9:00 Pm and the line was crazy long. Tired of lousy food and service being blamed on Covid.

Adrian C.

Yelp
I don't like leaving bad reviews and saying bad things, so I'll do my best here: If you are the type that would wax nostalgic about dining hall food from, say, a third-tier state university, you'd love this place. Vaya con dios.

Atira S.

Yelp
Obviously, this restaurant has high prices and bland food; it's for tourists! You order at a kiosk (with credit card), if you want to pay with cash you print out your receipt & take it up to the counter to pay. Then, you sit wherever you want and wait for them to call your order number. The food: Mac & Cheese: 2/5, the cheese tastes like the fake, cheese packets. However, the pasta was cooked well. Nothing spectacular. Chicken Noodle Soup: 5/5, probably the only good food here. It has yummy chicken, thick noodles, and nice vegetables. Great soup to have any time of the day. Chicken Sandwich: 3/5, I picked Swiss cheese on my sandwich. The chicken was cooked well but extremely bland! There was no flavor at all. It came with either a side salad or potato chips. Service: 4/5, you leave your plates/ trays on the tables and the employees bus them. They were coming throughout our meal to keep our table clear. Very sweet and helpful people!

Michael B.

Yelp
YUK ! My wife and I were on a short vacation in the Grand Canyon not long back and decided to stay in the Village for convenience. We chose Yavapai Lodge ( never again ). So the most obvious first choice to grab a feed was this cafeteria...it had wi-fi apparently. Of course that was another story within the Village ...getting a phone to work. Anyway we walked in here and had a look at what was on offer. We decided this place was a shit hole. It looked like a cafeteria for the terminally ill and even then you have to order your meal on a computer at the entrance. The food was a pile of crap presented buffet style which after one look we would not touch with a 10 ft pole. Go to the Yavapai Tavern next door and get a decent burger & a nice beer or cocktail like we did.

Niki M.

Yelp
I don't know why this place has such low ratings. We loved it. At lunch time during the height of tourist season, we were able to order without a wait, and our food came quickly. I love the flexibility of their menu. We are not big eaters, so being able to order small meals was great. Two adults and two kids with drinks and we got full for under $20. We don't eat meat but this place has great vegan and vegetarian options. I had pizza and shared chili with my daughter. Both were great. My son got a veggie burger, which is always hit or miss with him but he loved this one. This is the only place in the park I found with free wifi. We stayed about an hour to just enjoy a great break from the day and it never got loud or crowded. We didn't drink today but were impressed with the options on tap, including Angry Orchard cider.

Matt N.

Yelp
We stayed three nights at the Yavapai Lodge, and due to the nearby location, ate three nights at the Yavapai Dining Hall and the tavern. First off, there is a microwave near the entrance of the dining hall - take note, because you'll need it. We had three nights of lukewarm to cold meals that needed to be reheated in that microwave. I actually wondered if there is a food safety issue, as the food coming off the "hot" food service bar was barely warm. I ordered a side of mac and cheese one night and it was not hot - how long had it been sitting on the service line at that temp? The next night, the chili was the same - served cool, and making me wonder if I should eat it. The tavern screwed up our order one night, with our order number being reversed (e.g. 59 for 95) and leaving us waiting for 30+ minutes. When I went to ask about it, they said they mixed up the numbers and then delivered the food to our table - all cold, as it had been sitting in the kitchen for some time. Nothing we ordered was great, but it could have been significantly better if it was provided hot, fresh, and accurately.

Pierre P.

Yelp
We had the chuckwagon dinner 1 protein for 2 adults and a personal pizza for our son. My expectations were low and the cafeteria blew them out of the water. To begin with this was a dinner at the end of a spring break of self made beans rice cheese burritos from a week in a cabin in Sedona. At the lodge I had the harvest roast medley and winter greens sauté alongside beef brisket. There is also a salad bar. I turned my plate into a beef salad by adding the crunchy Romain hearts and salad dressing. I was stuffed and the variety of healthy vegetables (and hearty beef) was super satisfying. The next day the tavern and cafeteria also hosted a generous kids Easter Egg hunt.

Randy T.

Yelp
Cafeteria food in Grand Canyon National Park. Keep your expectations to what you'd expect in a cafeteria and you'll be happy. The Lodge Cafeteria serves pizza and sandwiches. In addition, you can grab food from the salad bar. Location/Parking: The Yavapai lodge is located near a Blue Canyon Shuttle stop west of the Grand Canyon Visitor's Center. There's a giant parking lot if you want to drive there directly - across from the large General Store. Ordering Experience: Food is ordered at touchscreen kiosks at the entrance of the cafeteria. The touchscreen is easy to use - there are large buttons to select each of the menu items. Once you order, food is made at the counter and your number will be called. If you miss hearing your number, they'll put your number on the large screen that's above the counter. I ordered a pizza and it came out in a reasonable amount of time for a takeout pizza. What I Tried: 16" Cheese Pizza ($16.75) - At first I thought, "wow this is really overpriced". Then I looked up chain pizza restaurants in (relatively) nearby Flagstaff and realized that it's only a few dollars more here. Unless you drive a Prius it will cost you more to drive back to Flagstaff for lunch. The pizza is perfectly on par for what you'd get at a cafeteria. Crust isn't the best I've had, but it isn't tough either. There was plenty of cheese, but I was craving for more sauce. It easily feeds 2-4 people, although I'd lean towards more people because there is a lot of cheese. Pizzas are baked hot to order. Verdict: You pay a premium for dining inside a national park, but it's not terrible food. Pack your lunch if you want to save money, but if you need to buy your food here you'll be okay.

Michael M.

Yelp
March 2022. long lines and while staff was friendly ..wait times were long..got several burgers and all were undercooked. not many options in park but hoped for better at this price point.

Aj M.

Yelp
We'll what can you say. Given what's available, if you want some food outside your RV or lodging experience go for it. Hit or miss on customer service. Min $50 for two people. Bar is again ok...but the table/seating inside the bar area is extremely limited. If it's football season prepare to see people there taking up seating for long periods with an empty beer glass, a cup of water, and their cell phone as they use their NFL ticket along with the handful of games shown on bar TVs. And if you happen to get one of the tables adjacent to the bathroom, recommend just moving to the 70s styled cafeteria seating area unless you want blasts of urine smells hitting you while you eat when the doors open and close. All other eating options in the area are probably equally as good. So manage expectations and know with limited choices prices are high and quality lacks. In the end just remember you came to see the majesty of the Grand Canyon...not five star food or customer service. Finally, if someone else says this place is 'the bomb' and leaves a four star review I have to wonder why.

Ramya M.

Yelp
I don't understand the poor reviews at all! We had a late start one morning and ended up parking in Lot B. Yavapai Lodge Cafeteria was right next to the parking lot and we decide to lunch there. I must say, the food was pretty good! In fact it was great for a restaurant inside a national park! You order using a touch screen kiosk and pay up front (credit card accepted). Take a seat, wait for your number to be called and pick up your food. There are quite a few options for vegetarians. ** Pizza (Build your own) ** Veg Burger ** Cold veg and hummus wrap ** Vegan Chili ** Soup of the day - Minestrone and Cream of potato that day ** Kid's Mac and Cheese ** Kid's Pb & J sandwich We had the burger, chili, minsetrone, pb & j. I would definitely recommend them all. Service was just fine. Infact, someone (can't recall the name) helped us with the kiosk. Place is very clean and well maintained. Restrooms are spotless! All in all, one of the better places to eat in GC. Recommend!

Terry A.

Yelp
Great place to grab a burger and relax during an awesome day at the canyon. FYI... Adults in our party ordered off the kids menu and it was a plenty big burger.

Yelp
There aren't many options at the Grand Canyon. Everything is overpriced too. Admittedly, we ate at the Yavapai Lodge Cafeteria twice. The first time we ordered...shoot, I can't even remember what we had because it was so underwhelming. Why did we go back? We figured a 16" cheese pizza would be pretty hard to mess up and it was a deal for $16.75. It turned out decent and the two of us finished the whole pizza.

Yelp
Good choice and a pretty good value for money, especially for lunch at a national park with limited choices. My only complaint is that they didn't have the types of soups they were advertising that they had, but they happily gave me a refund when I told them. Plenty of seating. Good tasting food. Good variety of choices. Nice salad bar and soups.

Yelp
$9.90 for the cheeseburger. I took a picture from the side so you can see the slice of cheese is literally as thick as the pitiful, tiny hamburger patty. I came here starving and left very hungry and ripped off. Completely unacceptable!!!

Yelp
Very disappointing. Food is way over priced for the fast food style, less than mediocre quality food. $17 rib plate was ready in 2 minutes and came room temperature.

Yelp
Do not go here for food, it's just awful. It seemed like a good market though! We went here because it was closest to our trail, but we were really disappointed that they had such terrible hot food choices! Eat before you enter the park!!

Yelp
what a great find after an interesting day! we had a long-standing reservation at arizona steakhouse for a treat on our family vacation tonight, only to be greeted at their door by an employee saying they "ran out of food" and offering no remedy to the situation. we scrambled to find something else, as there is limited dining open after 8 in the area, and came here. the food was great! my family enjoyed the pretzel rolls, beans, and cakes, and the generous portions. i loved the vegan options, especially the vegan chili! the ambiance is fun and family-friendly. this place saved the day!!

Yelp
The establishment is somewhat hidden if you come in from the main entrance. The ordering area is a tight fit with limited inside seating. We went on a Thursday afternoon, initially the line was rather long but moved relatively fast. The employees taking the orders were rather rude and unhelpful. As for the food and drinks it was pretty tasty. For a group of 4 we ordered some chips and salsa and received a typical restaurant to-go styrofoam container that was filled with chips. The salsa was a full cup and a half, and was flavorful and spicy. Another individual in our party ordered the Elk soup and stated it was good but not hot. For the group we ordered the nachos and that was a nice serving amount that feed 3 adult men and an adult female. The meat on the nachos was a generous amount. The employee cleaning up the outside seating was very helpful and friendly out of all the employees. Overall the food was better than expected at a National park.
