TL;DR If you are a light sleeper who values comfort and sleep, find somewhere else to stay. I have had the pleasure of staying in Room 001 on the ground floor. It was a loft-style room with plenty of opportunity to trip on mismatched steps and hit your head on a horribly designed layout. The absolute *worst* part of the place is how poor noise isolation is from the outside and from the other rooms. As a light sleeper, I value adequate noise control and this place has none. The beds are up in the loft space and every footstep from the room above can be easily heard. I happened to experience guests above with lead feet that stomped around all night for multiple nights in a row and it made for a truly miserable experience. From what I can gather, none of the ground floor rooms have air conditioning, or any good air circulation to speak of, either. So every loft ends up being stuffy and uncomfortable. The place was only somewhat recently converted into a hotel as well, it's not like this is some historic place where idiosyncrasies are expected... It's just a poorly done building conversion in a city with hundreds of other options. Edit: I almost forgot, the "hot" water was lukewarm at best and the elevator was out of service as well (an issue that affected the other half of my family group who had a room on the 2nd floor).

A Great Stay in Amsterdam with Minor Room for Improvement I recently stayed at Numa Stays Amsterdam for 4 nights, and overall, I was impressed with the accommodation. The location is fantastic, with a bus stop right outside the door, making it easy to explore the city. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. The kitchen was well-equipped, and also got some free welcome goodies, which was a lovely touch😎 However, there were a few areas that needed attention. The bathroom ventilation could be improved, as it consistently smelled of smoke, which was irritating. Additionally, we encountered a bug in the apartment initially, and despite the staff's prompt response via WhatsApp, the issue persisted in the bathroom for the entire duration of our stay. Unfortunately, it wasn't fully resolved. One minor inconvenience was the limited availability of working washing machines and dryers. With only two machines functioning for a large number of guests, we had to wait for hours to do our laundry. Despite these minor issues, I would highly recommend Numa Stays Amsterdam for its excellent location and comfortable rooms. With a bit of attention to these details, it could be an even more enjoyable stay.

BEDBUGS!!!!!! AVOID THE NIGHTMARE! I never write reviews but I’m hoping this will save your family the NIGHTMARE that our family experienced at YAYS Amsterdam Maritime by Numa. Our first night there discovered bedbugs in the bed — clearly visible and we filmed them crawling on the bed (and had bites the next morning!). When we reported it immediately, the staff were slow to respond, rude and unhelpful. They did not come to inspect the room, REFUSED TO CLEAN OR TREAT THE ROOM, and refused to move us to another apartment. We were left to deal with a bedbug infestation alone, with children, in an unsafe and unsanitary environment. Even after sending photos and proof, no one from Numa or YAYS offered real assistance. The lack of accountability and basic humanity from this company is disgraceful. Bedbugs are a serious health issue. Given this response, I HIGHLY DOUBT THEY HAVE EXTERMINATED the bedbugs. Their so-called “customer service” is indifferent and defensive. For your health, peace of mind, and belongings — stay far away from this place.

Unfortunately I am a bit disappointed by this Apartment Hotel. The elevator did not work during the entire week of our stay, which was very unfortunate since our room was on the highest floor and we had to carry our heavy luggage’s by ourselves. The rooms were fine, not super clean tho. The shower drain somehow (or something else in the bathroom) smelled really bad and there was no way to open a window cause there is no window in the bathroom. Our room on the upper floor also had very bad sound insulation. Even with every single window closed you could hear every truck/train/police siren even at night, which left us with sleepless nights after long days of visiting. The good part about this hotel is really the location. There’s a very cute Zoo only 10min away from it and the city center is easily accessible. There is also a few restaurants/brunch spots and supermarkets close to it, so if you didn’t feel like going all the way to the center of amsterdam you had some good other choices.

Fantastic medium studio with a small kitchen, a beautiful modern bathroom and some welcome packag articles. But... in the bathroom was no Makeup mirror and the hot water was not warmer tgan 34°C! By far too cold. The fridge should be de-frosted again and its door does not close easily. The hand railing of our stairs up to the very comfy beds was not stabil and I was always scared of losing my grip around it due to its shaky instability...! The stairs are therefore rather dangerous at night. But, nevertheless, I did love it here, I like the Numa hotels so much!

I love this apartment! I've never stayed in such a comfortable bed before. It's really spacious upstairs, downstairs is a little cramped around the table but can be forgiven because of the layout. The stairs are very steep and winding. It has been finished to a high standard and is decorated in a modern way. There has been a slight smell of drains from the bathroom but we left the window open so not to be that noticeable. There is a bus stop right outside taking you to the center and trams are a short walk away. There is a petrol station, shop and restaurant all within five minutes walk. The canal opposite is a beautiful view from the windows. I would highly recommend staying here even if it is a little out of the centre.

The lift is under repaired for days and u have to carry the luggage upstairs yourself. Washing machine and dryer is also under repair. U can not really cook as the ventilation is not good and u will be fined if the fire alarm is triggered. Only one very small up in the roof window can be opened a little which makes the room very hot and poor ventilation. U can only keep your luggage in the locker upon availability. No one is helping and care to you, all replies by WhatsApp with a little delay. Only no. 22 bus go in front of the hotel but not others which makes u take a long walk to go no.22 to return to hotel. Do not choose this hotel if u really need a service apartment to cook and wash.

**INFESTED BED BUGS!!!!** AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I’ve since read countless bed bug reviews confirming this has happened to many guests over the years. Clearly this is unhygienic and they don’t care. Save yourself the mental anguish of dry cleaning all your luggage after staying at this disgusting place!!
