YAYS Amsterdam Salthouse Canal by Numa

Four of us stayed in one room for an extended stay. Room was spacious and clean. The sofa bed was not very comfortable unfortunately. The queen bed was fine. Lots of amenities, coffee maker, microwave, fridge all in the room. Washer/dryer in the building at no charge. Washing powder provided as well which is nice. Lots of security and the area is safe to walk around. Its a short 10 min wal to main street cafes and groceries etc. Overall a good stay with no issues. We will stay there again.

I never thought I have to ask an hotel whether my bedroom is a windowless basement. Turns out I need to start doing that, because my room at YAYS Salthouse was a windowless dungeon without AC or basic ventilation. Even worse, the room had a wall to wall rug, so the entire place smelled like a big pile of dust. We were eventually moved to a different room after enough complaining, but the new room (which was much better!) was 200€/night, while the dark dungeon was 350€/night, so we ended up paying 600€ extra to sleep in a ventilation-less basement. To top all of this off, the room’s safe broke two hours before we had to check out. Since the “hotel” has no staff on premises most of the time, they took over an hour (and several phone calls) to send someone over. We almost missed our train. Our reimbursement? 15%. Absolutely crazy experience. Never coming back. If you're planning a stay, make sure to ask whether your bedroom has windows.

Worse experience, booked via Booking received a fake Whats App purporting to be the Hotel and lost a Sum of money as a consequence. Booking.Com and this hotel dont want to help or seem capable of helping emails, phone calls etc, all go no where despite the fact they have admitted a data leak!! Stay away from this hotel group full of unhelpful people. I was promised they would contact me and they still haven't been in touch to offer a resolve after leaking my information.

One of the worst, oldest and ugly apartments. Shared photos by owner are not reflecting the rooms real situation. Old building was renovated by painting everything in white. There is no AC and the windows cannot be completely opened as the owner decided to install locks. The neighborhood is crowded and dirty with no reasonable parking fees.

I would leave a negative 10 review if I could. I have booked my stay with a coupon code. The whole transaction was completed and not a single time they told me I wasn't allowed to use a coupon code. |One week latter they sent a VERY SHADY email asking me to pay 20% more, because apparently they gave me a rate that they think is too low. In this email they give me 2 days to pay up otherwise they would cancel my stay. |I wasn't happy about it at all. First of all, you can't back track after an agreement was reached by both party, I have paid up and fully fulfilled my part of the deal, its super annoying to have them flip flop on me. Secondly, I would have chose another hotel if I knew it would cost me 20% more, keep in mind I'm booking 2 nights with 2 rooms, this is not a small amount of money. Thirdly, who send a ransom email like that expecting people to just pay up? what if its an internet scam? |So I got into contact with them immediately because I want to confirm with them this email is legit, they indeed planning on doing this. Canceling my stay would be devastating to me, I have book activities and everything around where I would be staying. Also looking for another hotel would mean I have to pay for another stay and wait for them to refund my money, this could take 7-10 business days, which I can't afford. So I really want to make sure everything is in order. |And do you know what they did? They WOULD NOT RESPOND TO ME UNTIL THE DEAD LINE HAS PASSED. Yes I chickened out, I paid up, before I even knew this was legit, I can't have my old grandma and young daughter arriving to a foreign city with no where to stay. But shame on the company for doing shady business like this. |Yes I am writing this review before I even stayed there, I wish I wasn't staying there!

Our apartment was a great, comfy and spacious one with all the amenities provided. The online check-in was easy, quick and pretty straight forward. Just like as promised, we received the code for the doors on the day of arrival. Our questions for a couple of concerns were quickly answered. I was overall very pleased with my stay and the service i received from Yays Numa. The house is definitely a place i would highly recommend.

Great stay and easy to get into the centre of Amsterdam with great public transport links. Room was well equipped and loved the extras such as tea and coffee machine.
