Hot and fresh fries! Fantastic with malt vinegar and salt. Quick and friendly service.

Actually the best fries I have ever had in my life! I believe they must fry them in beef fat, and the fries are cut fries right in front of you. I would highly recommend getting extra salt and vinegar.

My second time visiting this location. Unfortunately I do not live closer and can only visit when making cross country trips. The fries are amazing, this time I asked for a bit less vinegar as they put it and the salt on for you. If I lived in Kenora this would at least be a weekly visit for me.

I grew up in Kenora and I remember when the Chip Truck was really a truck. The owner would drive it home and back every night. He filled up each night at the gas station I worked at as a teenager. In those days, you not only filled up the gas but checked the oil and fluids and tire pressure. The Chip Truck guy always tipped me with a big bag of French fries, like a big paper grocery bag-sized bag of fries. I was really surprised that they still seem to continue the tradition of never replacing the fryer oil, just topping it off. That's why they're so dark and stormy. The best French fries in Canada, hands down, and you have to have them with salt and vinegar. There's no ketchup or gravy or even pepper so don't ask. Just enjoy them.

Since I was a very small girl in the early 60's, this chip truck has been a regular summer feature in Kenora whenever I would spend vacations at our family cottage. We always looked forward to gobbling up these perfect potato morsels then...and we still do now! In fact, the original truck is still in use today with the chips as delectable as ever they were. This summer our server was a young man...a summer student, as they often are...a friendly, polite fella who rustled up our deep fried delicacies in the wink of an eye. A Kenora street food not to be missed!! Chef's kiss!!! 💋

I came across a food truck while passing through this small town and grabbed a poutine. The fries were super crispy, and the gravy and cheese were just perfect. It wasn’t the traditional kind, but it was the perfect way to kick off my Ontario trip.

Great fries. We always get them with salt and vinegar and make sure to stop in Kenora when passing by for them (if they are open). There are 3 locations now in Kenora and they seem to have different hours for each one so make sure to check before you go. Cash only but an ATM is available for a fee

Stopped there today, as we have many times before. Stood at the window, shelf littered with last person’s fries. Nobody at the window. Looked in after saying hello. Employee on his phone, oblivious to anyone waiting to order.

Yelp
This food truck is awesome! If you want traditional Canadian "chips" which are really fries. Check this place out. They have a bunch of sizes and they put salt and vinegar on top. They accept cash only so come prepared! They do have an ATM if you forget.

Yelp
Check out their website for more info as far as their truck locations are and the hours they keep. I love these guys! Went to Kenora the first time and learned about them by internet as I was checking out where to go. I'm very surprised they haven't been listed on Yelp yet because they deserve the reviews. The chips are awesome. It was the first time ever I could eat fries without needing ketchup. The biz has recently changed ownership, but if the new owners are as dedicated as the previous, anything less of a 5 star rating coming from me is unlikely. If you're looking for a comfortable place to sit that won't happen. They are situated in parking lots and are set up much like how you'd find similar vendors at an amusement park. Seating can be found via steps and benches, or if you happened to have parked in the lot, your car will do. I forgot to add... I went to Kenora just this past summer (2nd visit) and I think I was more interested in the fries than the trip itself. Needless to say I wasn't disappointed.
