5 dining and drinking spots to check out along the central Rail Corridor - SilverKris

"A craft-beer-focused spot at KAP Mall with indoor and alfresco seating and 12 rotating taps, paired with bakery offerings — the Sourdough Sticky Bun topped with caramel and pecans is a popular treat, and the plain brioche makes for an excellent takeaway loaf." - Dannon Har

Yeastside – Cozy Cafe Vibes 🥪☕️ We tried: 🍞 Food – Grilled Cheese Toastie, Big Breakfast, and a Croissant. Everything was pretty good – the toastie perfectly cheesy, the big breakfast hearty, and the croissant flaky and buttery. 🥤 Drinks – Matcha, Ice Chocolate, and Earl Grey Lychee Cold Brew. Drinks were all okay! ✨ Vibe & Ambience – Laid-back cafe with a chill atmosphere, perfect for brunch, catching up with friends, or a casual weekend hangout. 💡 Overall: Solid cafe experience. The food hits the mark, drinks are enjoyable, and the ambience is cosy – definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. 📍 Yeastside – KAP Mall, SG

i went to yeast side today and had the best lunch! i ordered the bestside focaccia and felt that it was nicely flavoured. It was fragrant and had a light, fluffy bread. The chicken was tender while the egg mayo is creamy and well-balanced, with just the right amount of seasoning. The eggs are soft and smooth, and the mayo ties everything together nicely. Every bite feels freshly baked and comforting! The matcha was smooth, earthy, and perfectly balanced. The focaccia was also very filling and i had a great lunch!

The char grilled chicken pesto pizza was smoky and flavorful. Prawn caesar salad was fresh and nicely balanced. Earl grey lychee tea was very refreshing - great meal overall!

Had a great time at Yeastside! Tried their crispy hot mentaiko fries and the Yeastside Bakkie — both were delicious and full of flavor. The fries were perfectly crispy with a rich, savory mentaiko topping, while the bakkie was hearty and satisfying. On top of that, the staff were very attentive and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot worth coming back to!

Yeast side is a cosy joint located at the King Albert Centre. While it usually dishes out its signature pizzas, it also serves a formidable array of focaccia offerings for its breakfast menu. We tried the Smashed Beef and Mr Crab. Much attention is given to both items. The bread are toasted with a slight char on both sides, enhancing the crusts. The amount of fillings - meat, greens and condiments- for both sandwiches are meticulously balanced without one ingredient overpowering another other. We also tried the matcha foam series which were served hot. The drink is full bodied and earthy, with a faint aftertaste of seaweed. Overall, if you like to have a breakfast or a light lunch after a hike at Bukit Tomak Hill, the Green Corridor or Clementi Forest, do have a break at the Yeast side located at King Albert Park Centre.

1st time came here under recommendation. Amazing friendly staffs. Natasha is friendly and so forth coming, recommending the different beers to us. Nice wings to try, flavourful and juicy. Pairs well with the beers anytime. Didn’t have time to try other as kitchen was closed. Ash, Silva and Sujith made great food for sure and I will wanna try the sourdough pizzas next time I’m here. Came too late thus missed the opportunity. They have indoor upstairs sitting as well but we prefer the outdoor area for crowd.

Tried Hojicha Foam Series this time and it was my favourite! Super smooth with roasted flavour and not too sweet, exactly how I like it. Salmon Burrata Sandwich was always my go-to, never fails to hit the spot!

The sourdough carbonara pizza was quite an interesting twist — creamy and satisfying, though I did find myself wishing the sourdough flavor came through a bit more boldly. The crispy chicken wings were a definite highlight — perfectly seasoned, golden, and addictive. A must-order. We polished off a whole pizza and the wings easily between just two of us! On the downside, beer prices were steep — $14 for a half pint and $18 for a full pint. A few more affordable options would’ve made the experience feel a little more balanced.
