Yellow Bird Hotel Barbados

This was our first visit to the Yellow Bird Hotel, having stayed in the area on several previous holidays. We received a very warm reception on our arrival and this continued throughout our stay, with all the staff greeting us in a friendly manner each day. Our room (304) was spotless, as was the hotel. There is an an amazing view of St Laurence Bay from our balcony. The restaurant is clean and modern with an excellent menu and we tried several dishes on different days and we're never disappointed, as the meals were always delicious. We had a little difficulty using the sunbeds and parasols as there was a clear shortage. There is a lovely garden next to the swimming pool in which more sunbeds and shades could be placed. We'd like to thank the Manager and all the staff for enabling us to have a wonderful holiday, as we have never been treated so well before.

Great hotel with extremely helpful and friendly staff in a good location in St Lawrence Gap. It had a great view and the restaurant quality and prices were pretty good. The only issue here was the noise coming from the surrounding bars at night and how well you could hear people walking above you in the rooms.

Yellow bird hotel , where to start .|Welcome at hotel was fun, lots of smiles and a beautiful bajan welcome drink to kick off our stay . |20 room hotel perfect size for personal attention and interaction with all the staff at the hotel. |Great location and view to the beach & sea are incredible.|We loved our lower level room 102 as it gave garden and straight access to the pool .|Higher floors afford a better sea view but ground level in my view didn’t diminish the view . |The rooms are big,comfortable, great bathroom, huge bed , kitchen area to cook if you wish, big fridge , Safe in room you really have it all and great AC but the best part is cleanliness it’s spotlessly clean and meticulously cleaned every single day buy awesome team . |The bar area is relaxing spot with great staff , happy hrs 12-1 & 5-6 a must to take advantage of .|Good standard of hotel food , especially breakfast and very reasonably priced for Barbados location.|Pool area is compact but excellent, cleaned daily and perfect temperature.|Lastly and most importantly the staff Cheryl and her wonderful team are just brilliant and made our holiday into a very special memory the entire team from front desk, bar, restaurant, housekeeping and management are a true credit to the hotel and Barbados. |Thank you for everything |Jim & Pamela Rodgers

Staff were very welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure we had a relaxed stay. Rooms were spotless and contained everything we needed. The view from our room was beautiful. The food was delicious. And it was lovely to sit in the restaurant with a pool and sea view. We had such a good time we plan on going back. Highly recommended.

I have just returned from a weeks stay with my adult daughter . The Yellowbird did not disappoint in any area . The staff are so friendly and helpful . Michelle on reception arranged a Bajan celebration trip for us and our return taxi to the airport . |Our delux double room 204 had a lovely view , the bed was super comfy and we didn't have any issues with outside noise . The room was equipt with all the amenities if you want to cook for yourself, we made breakfast but ate out the rest of the time . The hairdryer in the bathroom was quite powerful, and the shower worked well . Our room was very clean, and room service was provided daily . If you want to travel independently, the bus stop is right behind the hotel . Pool towels are provided . There are lots of good places to eat around the hotel , the Mexican next door is recommended along with Harliquin. If you're looking for a small hotel that is in a good location, with amazing staff and nice rooms, then look no further . Thank you for a wonderful stay |

The food, the location, and THE LOVELY PEOPLE!! I travel often and i have never had such an amazing experience as this one!! If you are looking for an unforgettable experience! This IS the place!! Definitely will be booking here again. They help you with booking excursions as well!! I absolutely love the staff there!! They treat you like family!! Huge shout out to Michelle!! She takes well care of every person that walks through the entry door!

Our original booking in another hotel was cancelled last minute. Holiday company relocated us here. How lucky were we. What a gem of a place!. ||We stayed in the 2 bedroom Ground Floor Suite. For a family of 5 it was perfect. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms plus a double sofa bed in the living room. Hotel is in a great location at the beginning of the Gap, close to some great restaurants and close to the beach and the Supermarket. Buses to Bridgetown and beyond on the doorstep.|Lovely pool area, with no trouble in getting a sunbed, amazing staff, great bar and the food in the restaurant is really good.|We loved it and have rebooked Yellow Bird for this year too. Cant wait to return.

Great experience overall. The room is equipped with kitchenettes and a power air conditioner. Inside the room is quite clean. There is a gap between the bottom of our room door and the floor so it has attracted some bugs at night when the lights are on. There is a lovely seaside view from the balcony. The hotel staff are very friendly. There is no lift in the building but one staff member helped us to bring up the luggage. The location is convenient for food and drinks. Slightly east from the hotel, there is a street filled with bars and restaurants. We relied on public transport for communiting. It's relatively easy to go to Oistins or Bridgetown via shuttle taxi/bus (from stop St. Lawrence gap). For other places, it is a longer journey and for some reasons the road towards Bridgetown direction is constantly jammed with cars. While there is no beach right outside of the hotel, there are two within walkable distance from either side of the hotel. However, these two beaches are two wavy for beginner swimmer like me. We had been taking the bus to Bridgetown to swim instead (it was supposed to be a 15 mins journey, but ended up being longer, because of again, traffic jam)
