Yellow Bird Hotel

Stayed at the beginning of our trip, and at the end. We were welcomed heartily once we arrived at resort. Stayed for a few days, whereby we had a 'pool day' with friends, and all of the staff were exemplary. Nothing was too much trouble for this wonderful Yellow Bird team. Food was delicious, and the drinks were plentiful. Our room on the lower floor was amazing. Everything you need has been catered for (I like to cook some meals) but the proximity of the local bars and restaurants (plus the one on site which does breaky, lunch, dinner and snacks, plus drinks all day!) are a couple of minutes walk, if that. We slept well in the super comfy bed, and housekeeping and maintenance staff looked after us equally well. We are definitely coming back to Yellow Bird, end of 2025, for round 2! Wonderful Stay at the Yellow Bird Hotel! 🌴 We had an amazing time staying at the Yellow Bird! This charming boutique hotel exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The view from our balcony was absolutely stunning — easily the highlight of our stay — but the friendly staff and delicious food at the hotel restaurant made it even better. The location was perfect for us. We rented a car and spent our days exploring the island and hopping from beach to beach. In the evenings, we loved being able to leave the car in the hotel’s parking lot and walk around Saint Lawrence Gap to enjoy all the bars and restaurants nearby. A few things to keep in mind: • There’s no direct beach access. You can walk across the street to the ocean, but there aren’t beach chair rentals right there. The closest spot to rent chairs and umbrellas is a short drive or a bit of a walk away. • Bring plenty of cash. We’re from the U.S. and had trouble withdrawing cash from a couple of local ATMs. • Pro tip: Things can be pricier in the Gap. If you plan to stock up on drinks for your room, head to the duty-free store about 10 minutes away — we paid $25 less for a bottle there than at the market near the hotel! Also, note that Saint Lawrence Gap is pretty quiet during the day and on weekdays. There are a few outdoor tourist shops at one end of the street, but most of the action happens at the clubs and restaurants on the weekends after 10 p.m. They party well into the early morning hours! We’re heavy sleepers, so the noise didn’t bother us at all — but it’s good to know if you’re an early-to-bed type. Overall, we loved our stay and would absolutely recommend the Yellow Bird to anyone looking for a clean, friendly, and perfectly located base to explore Barbados. 🌺

We loved our stay at the Yellow Bird Hotel. We went for my wifes birthday. They sent a nice bottle of wine to our room. Room was very spacious. A/C worked really well. We wished the bed was a little more comfortable. Could use replacing in our room. Everyone that worked at the Yellow Bird was so friendly and helpful. The views from our room were amazing. We bought the breakfast package and it was well worth it. Food was really good. We ate dinner one night at hotel and it was delicious. There are so many restaurants right around the hotel. Many eating options within walking distance as well as convenience stores. A few beaches within walking distance also. Thank you for a wonderful birthday week for my wife!

Conveniently located in St. Lawrence Gap, this clean, modern facility is staffed by a wonderful, helpful group of employees whose efforts make your stay truly enjoyable. |Monique or Michelle are at reception to greet you and help you get oriented. There are four floors and each had a small private balcony. The rooms are very clean and have all the expected amenities. There is no elevator however Anderson or Jamel will happily carry your luggage to whichever floor/room you have reserved. Cheryl and Sonia also made us feel at home during our stay. There is restaurant in the hotel as well as a bar. Numerous other eating establishments are within easy walking distance in The Gap. |We thouroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay at the Yellowbird on our next visit to Barbados.

We loved it here. Perfect location with stunning views over the bay and right on the doorstep of bars and restaurants. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Pool area is small but very clean. Rooms are comfortable and have everything you need for your stay and a special shoutout to the cleaning staff who kept it immaculate. Food in the restaurant is good although we only ate in there on a couple of occasions. A great base for exploring the island

We booked Yellow Bird Hotel for our Anniversary/Birthday trip this year. The views of the ocean from our patio doors were beautiful. The front desk staff was very helpful and polite!! The housekeeping staff kept the room pristine clean which was very much appreciated. The location is directly in the St. Lawrence Gap which is within walking distance to stores, gift shops, nice restaurants as well as nightlife! Airport was about 15min away which was on a straight path from Yellow Bird hotel. We had a fabulous time exploring Barbados and so will you!!

Just returned from spending a lovely holiday at the Yellow Bird. Great location, lovely staff, nice restaurant and very well equipped clean room's. I would recommend this hotel for either self catering or use for your base. The local bars and restaurants are all within walking distance, two beautiful beaches are also just a few minutes walk. The rooms have lovely sea views. Don't hesitate to book you will be welcomed.

If you come to Barbados and stay at Sandals....you have not stayed in Barbados. The Yellow Bird is an older, well maintained eclectic hotel.the staff are genuinely good people. The people here are educated, friendly and love their country.
