Yellow Bird Hotel

What a gem of a hotel. Rooms all with seaview ,clean and comfortable. Staff make you feel so welcome and go out of their way to make your stay memorable. Great onsite restaurant giving you a typical bajan experience. Every member of staff from housekeeping,maintenance, restaurant and bar deserve a mention. Small inviting pool with sunbeds—-never a problem getting one. Great location at end of st.Lawrence gap, a 5 minute walk to Worthing beach. Dover beach in opposite direction. There was some noise from revellers at nearby local bars, but that did not spoil our holiday. We arrived as tourists and left as family. Not the cheapest hotel around, but worth that little bit extra. We will be back.

Property had strengths and weaknesses however was decent overall. The room was spacious and clean. The bed could have more comfortable, wasn’t great but wasn’t terrible either. Conveniently located near many restaurants. My greatest beef, and it goes for everywhere I went in Barbados, was the lack of a decent cappuccino. Almost nobody has an espresso machine, so that is the first thing I’d advise the owner to invest in. Keep coffee achievers like myself happy, I know I’m not alone in my addiction.

Stayed at the beginning of our trip, and at the end. We were welcomed heartily once we arrived at resort. Stayed for a few days, whereby we had a 'pool day' with friends, and all of the staff were exemplary. Nothing was too much trouble for this wonderful Yellow Bird team. Food was delicious, and the drinks were plentiful. Our room on the lower floor was amazing. Everything you need has been catered for (I like to cook some meals) but the proximity of the local bars and restaurants (plus the one on site which does breaky, lunch, dinner and snacks, plus drinks all day!) are a couple of minutes walk, if that. We slept well in the super comfy bed, and housekeeping and maintenance staff looked after us equally well. We are definitely coming back to Yellow Bird, end of 2025, for round 2! Stayed here for a couple of nights and it is not extravagant by any means but as a place to lie your head momentarily, it does the job. The rooms are clean but feel very dated. The pillows are either very lumpy or hard and disappointing, but the bathroom felt renovated recently and having a kitchenette and lots of space was nice. I highly recommend getting the pancakes and NOT the poached eggs as the chef has no idea how to cook without using a gallon of vinegar. The service staff was friendly and helpful all around, but the restaurant servers just sat on their phones for the whole time we were there which looks very unprofessional.

We loved our stay at the Yellow Bird Hotel. We went for my wifes birthday. They sent a nice bottle of wine to our room. Room was very spacious. A/C worked really well. We wished the bed was a little more comfortable. Could use replacing in our room. Everyone that worked at the Yellow Bird was so friendly and helpful. The views from our room were amazing. We bought the breakfast package and it was well worth it. Food was really good. We ate dinner one night at hotel and it was delicious. There are so many restaurants right around the hotel. Many eating options within walking distance as well as convenience stores. A few beaches within walking distance also. Thank you for a wonderful birthday week for my wife!

Conveniently located in St. Lawrence Gap, this clean, modern facility is staffed by a wonderful, helpful group of employees whose efforts make your stay truly enjoyable. |Monique or Michelle are at reception to greet you and help you get oriented. There are four floors and each had a small private balcony. The rooms are very clean and have all the expected amenities. There is no elevator however Anderson or Jamel will happily carry your luggage to whichever floor/room you have reserved. Cheryl and Sonia also made us feel at home during our stay. There is restaurant in the hotel as well as a bar. Numerous other eating establishments are within easy walking distance in The Gap. |We thouroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay at the Yellowbird on our next visit to Barbados.

Great place to stay and explore Barbados. All of the staff from the cleaner to the bar manger are amazing. Some of the nicest people you will ever meet. View from the room was beautiful, food was nice. But it's the people that work there that will make us go back. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

Perfect stay, staff are all amazing. Foods nice and the rooms are well kept and a decent size. Neighbouring businesses can be loud on the evenings, But your on the strip so it's to be expected. View from the room is worth coming back for alone. Good times.....
