Yellow House

Warning: this is not your average review. We got married at Yellow House and honestly? 11/10, would marry each other here again. The food—incredible. Guests wouldn’t stop talking about it. They picked natural wines we actually love (no sad Chardonnay here) and poured custom cocktails during cocktail hour like it was their life’s calling. Planning was almost suspiciously chill—staff were laid-back in the best way, somehow managing to discuss every detail without making us feel like we were negotiating a UN peace treaty. Day-of? Everything just… happened. Perfectly. Like magic. The venue itself? Modern, hip, already gorgeous—zero extra decor needed. Saved money, looked amazing. The sound system slapped, the staff kept everyone happy, and we stayed late drinking and boogying like it was the last party on Earth. If you want a wedding venue that’s beautiful, cool, and run by a bunch of stand up people, Yellow House is it.

I came to this place again today, which I visit every week, but I was asked to leave because of a private event. If there is going to be a private party, it should be announced in advance on the official website or Instagram. I’m usually happy with the music and service, but this is the first time I’ve been disappointed. Unfortunately, without prior notice, regular customers may be turned away at the door.

Great pizza, nice vibe. I think they have italians running the kitchen, that understand what tomatoes can do. The yellow pizza with yellow tomato sauce is the best. 10/10 recommend

Cool place, very yellow. Party of 11 and the service was quick and the food was great. Bread with dips, fried chicken and corn. All the way at the top of the yellow stairs.

Had to be in the neighbourhood and was early. Was great service, coffee and soup for lunch. Nice music. Will come back.

Finding Yellow House in Amsterdam was a bit of a challenge, as it is upstairs of a plaza and the sign is not readable at night . Once inside, the ambiance seemed promising with its unique decor. However, the experience quickly turned underwhelming. The food was passable - nothing to write home about but decent enough for a bar setting. Sadly, the wine selection left much to be desired, bordering on awful, which was disappointing for an establishment in a city known for its eclectic food and drink scene. Additionally, the upstairs area had an unpleasant odor that detracted significantly from the overall ambiance. Considering the price point, which was steep relative to the quality of food and drink, the value just wasn't there. For the cost and the effort to find it, Yellow House unfortunately falls short of providing a satisfying experience.

The location is nice, but the music way too loud during dinner. We had to shout over the table the entire time. The food was ok, but pretty basic. The club part was also not my vibe, perhaps it’s a better location for summer when you can enjoy the terrace.
