Amazing experience. We did the sunset cruise. We were not expecting to see so many crocs and bird species up close. Our guide (megan) was super informative. Definitely worth the price

We had the most incredible experience with our yellow water cruise. Our guide / ranger was amazing, and luckily for us, 20 people didn’t turn up so we had so much more room if the boat to move around and take photos etc which made it even better ! We saw some amazing wildlife, learnt a lot, but just really enjoyed the nature and seeing Kakadu in a completely different way. If you can only do one cruise in Kakadu, ensure it’s this one !!

I rarely do reviews , but I had such an amazing time on the Yellow Water cruise on New Year’s Day that I have to show my appreciation. The stunning views of forna and flora were matched by the wealth of knowledge shared by the guide. My friends and I still debate his name Aaron/Andy/Adam- my money on the latter. Hearing the First Nations perspective on the billabong gave me a huge appreciation for its custodians and the their thousands of years of connection and insight of the waterways and all the life in it. Definitely get out to Yellow Water Cruise and learn about First Nations ways. Thank you 🙏

Our guide Adam was super knowledgeable and funny in an unassuming way. Lovely guy who clearly wanted to share the culture and local wonders with us. If you want to soak in what Kakadu is about, this cruise is perfect. I recommend the evening tours as it is a bit cooler for the 2 hour cruise. If we come back to Kakadu, this cruise will be on our list, it is great value. Boa Boa

I love the cruises out on Yellow Water and the South Alligator River. Sure, there are crocodiles but for me seeing the nesting white bellied sea eagles (3x nests), whistling kites, black necked storks and all the other birds is just amazing. So far I have spent about 40 hours cruising and I still want to go back for more.

We did the Sunrise tour today. WOW!! What an experience. So glad we did it. Our Guide/boat captain, Don, was excellent. He clearly has a passion for the area/region and what he does. Wonderfully informative, fantastic scenery...an absolute must do.

Yellow Water cruise is a must while in Kakadu. They offer different time slots and a variety of cruises the sunrise and sunset seem to be the most popular but the 9am suited us as it wasn’t too hot or crowded at that time of the morning. It was only a 5minute drive in the free shuttle bus from Cooinda Lodge where we were staying and tickets could be purchased there or online. Jeremy was our captain and Guild today and was so welcoming fun and knowledgeable. His commentary throughout the 2 hrs cruise was entertaining and taught us so much about the wildlife and the history of the area. He would get up nice and close to anything of interest and give everyone a chance to take photos. He got us all involved as spotters and would explain about every bird fish plant or animal found. The boats were comfortable with seating that gave everyone a fabulous viewing point. It was a wonderful trip and great value. a must when visiting Kakadu Recommend booking online beforehand as it is very popular and you may miss out

Yelp
Before the dawn cruise I was sure that I would come away thinking this cruise was expensive. After the cruise I would say no such thing. The team are absolutely professional with an Aussie humour thrown in that makes you feel at ease immediately. Our guide Mark was exceptionally knowledgeable and tailored the cruise to suit the conditions of the day; meaning changing on-the-fly to maximise the best sights of the Fauna and flora of the day. The shear number of species we saw, and how incredibly close they were without fear of the water craft was fantastic; and all the while Mark was providing gentle and insightful commentary about the fauna and flora, the region, history and aboriginal culture. I would highly recommend the team at Yellow Atwater's Cruises.
