Wow, what an amazing experience! There is nothing more inspirational and humbling than watching the aurora dance above you at 1 AM while you lay in a pile of snow. Yellowknife Tours provided fantastic service, organizing exciting events such as dogsledding and snowmobile riding while introducing us to delicious and diverse eats around town. Our tour guide, Angus, was especially warm, knowledgable, and passionate - he took beautiful pictures that captured all the colors that the northern lights could possible have. Angela and Yellowknife Tours were also very accommodating in helping us celebrate some special events in our tour group. I highly recommend visiting Yellowknife with Yellowknife tours, 1000/10!

Amazing Experiences with Yellowknife Tours! We joined two activities with Yellowknife Tours: dog sledding and one night of Indigenous Village aurora viewing. Indigenous Village Aurora Viewing We were incredibly lucky to witness dancing auroras that night, including rare red auroras. The setting in the Indigenous Village added a special cultural touch to the experience. A big thank you to Angus for his professional service! Despite the -25°C temperature, he kept taking photos for us and shared fascinating knowledge about the aurora. Dog Sledding This was absolutely worth it! I strongly recommend being the driver—it’s much more thrilling, and you’ll feel the centrifugal force during the ride. The sledding lasted about 20 minutes, and the scenery was breathtaking, like a dream come true. After the ride, there was time to interact with the dogs, which were all very friendly and happy to pose for photos. I highly recommend both of these activities for anyone visiting Yellowknife. They are truly unforgettable experiences!

BEST EXPERIENCE IN YELLOWKNIFE! Joined the 5-day diamond package tour in Feb 2025. Superb service. Detailed explanation at every location. Huge variety of activities including net fishing, dog sledding (super friendly kennel, some are pet dogs!) and indigenous experience. Every night at a different aurora viewing destination. Staff are really helpful and hardworking to keep looking out for aurora in the cold! (-20C!!!) and photo taking with professional camera and skills! Experienced team to deal with extreme weather and unpredictable weather and flight (ever changing and cancelling) conditions. Highly recommend! Top tier service!

What a wonderful Northern Lights tour with Janet from Yellowknife tours. She and the driver picked us up on the dot, and we had a lively conversation about life in Yellowknife on the way to pick up the handful of other people joining the tour. Janet showed me how to adjust the settings on my new camera and took photos of each group who wanted a photo in front of the stunning lights display. In between bursts of activity from the lights, she encouraged us to take breaks and get some hot chocolate and chicken noodle soup in the toasty warm lodge, where some of the friendly dogs who pull the sleds by day, greeted us and where an interesting and informative video about Yellowknife and the aurora played on a screen all night. Janet came running inside several times to tell us the lights were active, so we could go back out to watch them, refreshed.

I joined the 5-day Northern Lights tour from March 5th to March 9th. I felt that the time schedule and accommodation arrangement were very appropriate, especially the pick-up and communication with guide 's arrangements were smooth. In addition, the weather was better than expected, which made me 100% satisfied with the whole trip. In particular, the leadership and explanations were very good and personal cared, which deepened my understanding of Yellowknife town. I stayed at Lodge for two nights this time and I have to be especially appreciated this Lodge. the hosts are nice and welcomed. i have to admire that Whether there is the room or internal environment or even the surrounding natural environment outside where are very warm, silent and beautiful. Facing the frozen lake, it is very quiet and relaxing. In addition, there are a hot tub and sauna, which make the whole stay to be amazing. Furthermore, there was no time limit for watching the aurora at night, you just short walk distance to have warm cup noodles and hot drinks, enjoyed the tranquility of being completely in nature and the greatness of God's creation of nature. I am very satisfied with the arrangement of this trip. Special Thank you to Verda (so enjoyable the time with you at Lodge) and every guides (special 黃刀達人) who gave us the warmly service. I am very grateful. Thank you all you guys and blessing all the best.

Yelp
Yellowknife Tours is a well organized tour operator for those who would like an opportunity to see the Northern Lights/Aurora Borealis and who are also able to easily cater to Cantonese, Mandarin, and English speaking travelers. It was a wonderful opportunity for my family to enjoy sightseeing without requiring one of us to be a translator. Everything was organized and nicely spaced out to give our family some rest between activities and also to recuperate from the late nights chasing the lights. The years of experience their drivers have in understanding and chasing the Northern lights, especially Dan, was invaluable and fun to experience. There guides, especially Renee, were all wonderful, courteous, and on top of everything. I would not hesitate to recommend Yellowknife Tours to anyone looking to experience the lights in Canada.

Yelp
We used Yellowknife Tours for renting winter gear for a couple of days. We have come to know the staff to be very friendly and helpful. It was nice to get top of the line clothing and boots for our three-day stay in Yellowknife. At -30C it's important to keep yourself warm. They can easily be found in the Center Square Mall.
