Stayed here a few nights with friends while staying in Nice. Got a Spacious Queen Bed Room—the room is fairly small, but it’s nice and clean, bed and pillows were comfy. The shower is behind the bed’s head area with see through glass walls with no curtains. There are two separate sink areas on both sides of the shower, which is great so my friend and I have separate personal areas. You can open the windows to a fixed railing to see the street. Our thermo stat wasn’t working well so the room felt too warm, the air conditioning wasn’t great—we flagged this with concierge and eventually it was fixed and we could really feel the A/C then. The room walls are fairly thin, we can hear a lot of the noise in the hall and outside (stayed on the fourth floor). Service was good, concierge was friendly and helpful. In the little lobby waiting area, wasn’t a fan of the smell there, displeasurable fragrant that we didn’t like. Also, the hotel is small and there is only one tiny elevator—there are stairs too but they are uneven so if you’re not careful you could trip, and the hallways are very dim lit. Location here is great, close to the train station, a supermarket across the street, and lots of restaurants and shopping nearby.

We really enjoyed our stay! The room was clean, spacious, and well decorated. The bed was very comfortable! The location is convenient but, as mentioned by others, can be quite noisy. We stayed on the 3rd floor and didn’t have any issues so I do recommend staying on a higher floor if you are noise sensitive. I never felt unsafe in the area as others mentioned. Of course, any area around a train station will be high traffic so if you are looking for a quiet stay tranquil area, this isn’t for you.

We stayed at Yelo Jean Médecin for a mini break and found it to be a great base for exploring Nice and beyond.||The location is excellent just a short walk from the main train station, making day trips to Monaco and Cannes super easy. The hotel is situated on a busy street with plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops, and there's even a McDonald's right next door! The tram stop is also nearby, which made getting to and from the airport simple and convenient.||The rooms are compact but well-designed, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. All communication with the hotel was handled through the Sonder App, which was easy to use and efficient. We also really appreciated the baggage storage option, especially since we had a late flight on our departure day.||Overall, a great stay, ideal for a short break on the French Riviera!

Unfortunately we find ourselves not able to offer positive feedback on this occasion. Firstly the room we were given on arrival was incorrectly sold to us as a double room . The bed being against the wall meant that if the person on that side wanted the bathroom during the night you needed to climb over the other person to get out. Also where were we to hang our clothes ? Three coat hangers over a coffee machine was totally Inadequate. What if I wanted to hang a dress up ? And three hangers for two people for a weeks stay ? No storage / shelving in the room . Totally unacceptable so we asked to change rooms. Which we did incurring extra cost and no apology . So onto the upgraded room . We had a closet that was fine . We didn’t have to do an obstacle course during the night to use the bathroom . But in my opinion and for a four star hotel surely this should be standard? The room itself was spacious but not cleaned during our weeks stay . Floor very dirty - shower and sinks also not cleaned . Noise from the street was ridiculous causing broken sleep . The complimentary shower gel and conditioner were empty and not filled until we went to reception and asked . Coffee - tea and milk available on the first floor but the containers were empty every day . We were told we would have a fresh bottle of water daily - this was not the case . I think the worst point however was when we used the shower we set the smoke alarm off as this is positioned very close to the shower . This caused The fire alarm to go off very embarrassing when they knock on your door to tell you ?and every one evacuates why didn’t someone move it or sort it out?

Everything was perfect. Good location, very close to the sea, but far from the center. The room was great, the hotel is new, everything is comfortable. But the cleaning was a bit disappointing. The bed was always remade and that's it. The sink was not clean. Tea and coffee capsules were not added. But everything else was great! Would love to visit again.

This is not a 4 star hotel. This is at best an overpriced hostel. Reception area is small and smells of dirty carpet. It consists of small plywood ( painted in black) desk and a computer. The entry hallway is dark all painted in black. Rooms are small and dark. Main street next to it looks like a cheap bazaar in far east. Restaurants and shops are dingy, cheap and dirty. Avoid at any cost. This place is not worth even if it was $25/day

Horrible experience – not recommended at all. I booked Sonder Yelo Jean in Nice mainly because it advertised parking and even reserved a spot for 4 days. When I returned late at night, no one was answering the hotel phone to open the garage. I called eight times before someone finally picked up. Once inside, I discovered that the hotel had overbooked the parking, and my reserved spot was already taken. The receptionist’s response was simply “sorry, we’ll refund you tomorrow,” offering no real solution while I was left stranded. On top of this, the room’s air conditioning was not working, making the stay even more uncomfortable. It took me another hour to find alternative parking on my own. This is unacceptable, unprofessional, and shows a complete lack of organization and accountability. If you value reliability and basic service, avoid this hotel. Horrible experience and absolutely not recommended.

We stayed at both the Jean Médecin and Marengo locations. While both are super close to the train station, the Jean Médecin felt noticeably inferior. The lobby and corridors were dark and not very clean, and the rooms split shower and toilet setup was inconvenient. Luckily, our room faced the back and was quiet, but front-facing rooms are probably noisy since the hotel is on the main street.
