Yemanja Woodfired Grill

Singlehandedly one of the best finer dining experiences on the island. The food and service were top notch, with the drinks coming in as just ok. My pisco sour was warm and had an off flavor that any reasonably nice pisco liquor does not have present in the flavor profile. Next time will probably just go with wine!

I have no complaints with this restaurant at all. The food here was all-around amazing, the steak was so juicy and flavorful. The potato au gratin, truffle mac & cheese, chimichurri, vegetables, and shrimp were well seasoned and cooked. My husband is a chef and is usually very picky with his food and said this food is very very amazing. He was very pleased and wanted to return the next night, but they were unfortunately closed🥲We will definitely be returning here when we come back to Aruba.😊

I cannot be any more straightforward than this, Yemanja Woodfired Grill is by far the best restaurant in all of Aruba. Every person I spoke to while dining here was a returning guest because of great previous experiences. Yemanja’s whole staff was exceptional, Starting with the Manger Kevin, every single member had good energy very attentive and playing their roles making the restaurants work flow keep up smoothly for how busy the place was. Now to get to the best part of it all, the FOOD was beyond expectations, no review ,no picture will do justice, you will just have to personally experience this fine dining for yourself. Make sure you make a reservation they were booked. This is easily a 5 star restaurant whole experience is 5 stars the 4.6 rating on Google is underrated for this jem. There is good, and then great but you rarely find a place that you say wow the entire evening. Yemanja left that impression. Located in the downtown section of Oranjestad hidden off of the main road sits this gem. The atmosphere is sophisticated and welcoming, yet relaxed. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining, but outside is where the magic is. Landscape lighting enhances the mood and adds to the ambiance. Service is what you would expect at an establishment of this type. Attentive, but not hovering. Informed, and willing to provide valuable recommendations. On this visit they were off just a bit, but we’ll chalk it up to being a a little short handed. The food is the center piece and the reason this place shines as one of the best on the island. Sure there are tasting menu restaurants sprinkled around the island with inflated prices, but most are not on par with Yemanja. On this visit we started with a grilled octopus, calamari and chorizo appetizer which was cooked to perfection. The melding of flavors and texture make the tastebuds sing. For our mains we had the grilled snapper which was prepared perfectly. The skin had a wonderful crisp texture and the fish beautifully cooked preserving a light, moist texture. The flavor was excellent and the accompanying vegetables, onions and seasoning made it an outstanding choice. The other dish was the blackened triple tail, placed on top of a bed of truffle risotto. The flavors were amazing and how they work in concert with each other was art. The truffle risotto is some of the best I’ve encountered. We’re not talking truffle oil or seasonings but honest to goodness real truffle shavings. It doesn’t get better than this. But wait there’s dessert. We opted for the Strawberry, Shortcake & Tonka bean gelato. Yes, Tonka bean which is from Venezuela. It’s a bit like a vanilla bean but better. The combination of the fruit compote, almond and cheesecake crumbles for texture and then the Tonka bean gelato was the capping of the night. When on the island Yemanja is a must if you’re looking for something special that will leave great memories.

Incredible food and atmosphere! We got the snapper, Thai pumpkin soup, pad Thai salad, calamari and potato, vegan bbq platter, and cauliflower steak. Other than the cauliflower steak, everything was superb. The snapper and pumpkin soup in particular were standouts. We got reservations, but the line really builds around 7:30-8pm. If you want to walk in, come earlier. I’ll also note it is expensive, but worth it for a splurge.

Reservation needed. Chic restaurant with outdoor seating available. We had a late reservation and were promptly seated. Food was hands down delicious, and Sarah who waited our table was extremely helpful in guiding us through the menu. Blackened Triple Tail was delicious too.

One of the best restaurants in Aruba!! Well balanced, tasty and different, give it a try, won’t be disappointed. We loved the shrimp sampler, cauliflower steak and the fried snapper

The very last night we kept the best to try! The vegan bbq was amazing! It was a heavy dinner! The vegan truffle mac & cheese was amazing as a part of the platter!! The garlic bread, OMG!!! Soooo good, I ordered another, first one is on the house! The soup was amazing too! Check out their website to make reservations!
