Yeng Keng Hotel (燕京）

We stayed for over two weeks in this charming beautifully appointed extremely well located hotel in suite 201 on the second floor. The hotel has 19 rooms and charming atmosphere in keeping with the spirit of Penang. We were there so long due to a medical emergency that happened the night after we arrived. The hotel staff was helpful in so many ways by recommending a good hospital and assisting us with a taxi to get there quickly. I was in Gleneagles hospital nearly a week with excellent care throughout and the entire staff spoke English. The hotel staff was caring and helpful the entire time and assisted us in keeping our wonderful room all but one night of the two weeks we were there. The suite had a beautiful bedroom with king bed, full bath and shower, and a lovely separate sitting room, perfect for us who spent more time than normal in our room. We took advantage of having Netflix on the large flat screen TV. The public areas are beautifully appointed as well with antique period furnishings and artwork, a rich blend of historical Peranican history and culture coupled with exemplary service. Breakfast was terrific varied and plentiful. Mostly, we want to compliment the staff who were always helpful, caring, and cheerful. They truly went above and beyond for us and we are so grateful. They also assisted us with good sightseeing suggestions and restaurant recommendations. Everything was perfect.

Stayed with my 16 year old daughter. Wonderful Heritage Hotel in a fantastic location. Lots of great places to eat within an easy walk and we were able to take Grabs easily to Penang Hill and Kek Lok Si Temple. ||Staff were really helpful, the included breakfast was very tasty and I had one of the best chicken curry's I have ever tasted for lunch. ||Rooms are simple but well stocked and have decent air conditioning .||Would definitely recommend and will return

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in October. We loved our time at the hotel and the city. The staff at the hotel were so kind and helpful. The hotel is clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was good. The room, while tight, was perfect. We enjoyed our time in the city so much that we never got to make use of the pool. The hotel is within walking distance of all we wanted to see. Being downtown, it was a very quiet hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing experience at Yeng Keng Hotel! The hotel offers a unique charm, and the staffs and cleanliness definitely exceeded our expectations. The combination of excellent service, pristine conditions, and a superb location made our stay truly memorable. Private carpark at the backyard is complimentary, and very secure. There is guard on duty 24/7Would return for another stay during our next visit to Penang.

Excellent hotel with the loveliest staff!! Stayed for 2 weeks and were really well looked after. The team in the hotel and restaurant are all really warm, kind and helpful. It’s great to have the pool, the place is super clean and the breakfast is great and varied. There’s a lot to see (and eat) within walking distance, or it’s easy to take a grab to see other parts of the island.

Hotel: a well maintained boutique hotel. Rich with history and interesting anglo-indian architecture. Love the unique vibrant colours of the hotel. Room: The room is extremely clean and well maintained. Beds are comfortable and cozy. Service: Amazing staff with great hospitality services. Felt very welcomed and enjoyable throughout the whole stay. Location: In the heart of Georgetown. Very strategically located and convenient to access all the tourist spots and local eateries by foot.

We can highly recommend Yeng Keng. Their staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It is well located on Chulia Street but thankfully we never bothered by any noise even though we were located in the front room. The pool was also a good size and very relaxing for the hot days walking around Georgetown. ||We look forward to coming back in the future

I stayed in Yeng Keng Hotel with my family for 3 nights. Great location, clean room, beautiful interior could feel heritage vibe at max. Staffs were super nice also. Swimming pool is not big but was enough for my family. Restaurant in hotel was also really good with nice nonya dishes with wine. Will definitely come again, thanks.
