YHA Apollo Bay Eco

Everything was really great here. Super clean. Toilets and showers fantastic... always clean and never busy, even around new year holiday time. Plenty of tips on the blackboard for things to do. Plenty of parking. Staff all friendly and helpful.

The hostel was perfectly located because it was waking distance to all the restaurants and shops. The front desk gave a perfect recommendation for places to eat and things to do. Would definitely go back.

A bit overpriced for what you get. Internet is so slow can’t even use it. You have to log in to use premium wifi that’s what they call and on top of that it’s going to take you 30 mins to sign up to be able to use it. If you get the internet you might be able to use the web. You can’t stream and do absolutely anything. Showers take 15 mins to warm up I can’t imagine that during winter you might have to run the water for 40 mins to finally get hot water. Just add a few more bucks a day and go somewhere nicer.

The staff is very welcoming. Sleeping space is small but cosy. Good since we can then talk and share with each other.

Super clean, comfy, easy to access and has a very well stocked kitchen. The man who was managing the hostel (I didnt get his name) was lovely and very helpful. Thank you!

YHA Apollo bay is one of the finest hostels I have ever stayed in, the rooms the views the facilities and the staff, thanks again Charles and the team for a fantastic stay we will be back 😁

The best hostel for the value I've stayed at in Australia. There are two things that really stand out to me: Spacious rooms and the amenities (there is not just one but two kitchens; plenty of common areas with comfortable seating). Great facilities in general, well maintained and very clean. Loved the adjustable shower heads. One thing to wish for would be a little shelf and power outlet next to the bed.

Very clean and well furnished. It's a shame I only stayed here for one night, just like from of the other travelers/backpackers who just wanted to find a stop on Great Ocean Road. The common room with the fireplace was amazing. It gave you chills like you were home. Especially friendly for those who were driving. I parked my car outside of my room, and boom, I could walk to my car through the other door directly without going around the corridor then main exit etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Check-in was a breeze. I would have stayed for a night more and just to explore Great Ocean Road further if I had the chance again. Yet since almost everyone was passing by for a day or two coming in or out, you don't expect any crazy party or anything. Well, Apollo Bay was a quiet tiny town anyway. By the way, the surfs here were disappointing. Just.. don't think about it.
