Lovely hostel. Kitchen only has little ovens/microwave. No rings. Lots of Stairs up to the rooms which are very steep. No parking on site is a nuisance. A bus ride from centre of Bath.

We stayed at this hostel with a friend for a weekend. The location is just incredible - on top of a hill, with great views. The staff was professional and very friendly, which created a pleasant atmosphere throughout the stay. The room is quite simple, but I think this is worth the price we paid. A nice bonus is the option to order breakfast or use the kitchen to prepare hot meals.

Me and my partner have stayed here 4 or 5 times and we think it's a fantastic place to stay, value for money is excellent especially being so close to Bath. It is up a steep hill however the U1 bus goes every 10 minutes from the centre and takes 10 minutes so is really convenient. The staff are always very friendly and there's lots of leaflets telling of things to do in Bath. My only negative feedback is the underfloor heating in the annexe. It's fantastic that this annexe has been built and underfloor heating is a great addition, however the heat emitting from it led to a very difficult nights sleep. Staying in November and requiring a powerful fan to keep the temperature down was a weird experience, if the underfloor heating could be reduced or turned off during the night that would help. On the positive side though the shower was excellent for a YHA, room was clean and spacious. Will definitely stay again (although may ask to stay in the main building next time :) )

I needed to stay in Bath overnight and thought I'd relive my younger years in the Youth Hostel, not least because it was a lot cheaper that a hotel stay. I booked a private room and was made very welcome by the friendly staff throughout my stay. The hostel was not busy so was quite quiet. The continental breakfast was simple and I had as much as I wanted. The hostel doesn't promise to be luxurious, but it was perfectly comfortable and very convenient for getting in to Bath. On street parking was available. I will certainly stay there again when in Bath.

Fabulous location, the most amazing friendly ,welcoming ,helpful staff. Great facilities with self catering and food available, plus it was spotless. We particularly enjoyed nature walking, great autumn colours and lots to see in Bath. Definitely recommend.

Characterful building undergoing some repairs. Our room (1) was at the top of the house....not really suited to 2 very tall people given the nature of the twisty and narrow stair case. Perhaps this could have been considered when we arrived as the hostel was not busy. Food was OK...though my son had a hair on his pizza...this was mentioned to staff but no apology was given. Single glazed windows and limited heating in the room meant it was a cold night. Loads of condensation in the morning, and could see mould on the window and door frames. This place needs some investment and more attention to customer service.

All the staff were friendly and helpful; the room, bedding and showers were very clean. By arrangement though the locker room was full, we were able to leave our bags at reception safely. We thought the price was reasonable and good for self catering our breakfast and evening meals. It was a great location though we took a bus uphill to it and walked down to the city alongside fields and canal. Highly recommend.

En suite room was damp as no extraction working ... bad if, like me, you have asthma. Shower took 15 mins continuous running to warm up. Bike store too small and security poor. NO onsite parking. NO hob for cooking on. Staff the redeeming feature
