YHA Bath Hostel

We had a really fabulous stay here. Fantastic building, location, facilities and the staff were brilliant and really helpful. The self-catering kitchen was really large and had pretty much everything you could need with a lovely large eating area that can host multiple guests (The only thing it would benefit from are hobs as lack of these really limits cooking options). They kindly put our luggage in the luggage room once we'd checked out so could still explore Bath itself on our last day. The grounds and building itself are just lovely. We had a wonderful 2 x night family stay (9 and 11 year old in tow).

Lovely accommodation, very grateful for the fan in this hot weather! The staff were lovely, though a bit quiet. Breakfast was very nice although a vegetarian option wasn’t given even if requested. On booking we were asked if we’d like towels, I thought this would be for showers towels however upon arrival we discovered this meant hand towels as well, so be aware of this. The building is lovely and there is an amazing outside sitting area with an incredible view over bath. There’s a very handy bus stop just outside the hostel which takes you right into bath center. Amazing experience, would definitely go again!

Having bought food in the city and walked up the hill with it, I was astounded to find there were no hobs in the kitchen, only air fryers and microwaves which were all very dirty inside. They were in such a state that replacement rather than cleaning is required. I wasn't surprised to see pasta in the "spare food" section, can't cook it in an air fryer. Is this a ploy to get people to use the cafe?||Accommodaation and showers were fine, but please reconsider the hob abolition.

Bath Hostel is at very convenient location. You can park your car on Bathwick Hill just beside the route to the hostel. There is also a bus stop right beside the hostel. It is slightly uphill, so be ready for it! The main building where I was staying is very nice with a character. I have enjoyed the stay, beds are comfortable, had an en-suite which was also good. The only downhill was that there was a constant noise for the whole night, something like machine or generator. Which was not very comfortable to sleep with. Staff was very friendly. Price is fair, and so I recommend this type of accommodation to everyone.

not too far away from city but you do need to do a little bit step in order to get up to here, we stay in 3-5 people private room, is little bit smelly in the bathroom, and the door handle is broken. Other than that, everything else is fine.Especially wake up to see this stunning view of Bath, the worthy part.

Lovely hostel up a hill. Getting to and from it is an adventure for the children, and me! Stayed in a nice, private ensuite family room. spacious self catering room. Doesn't have a cooker but has air fryer ovens. Pleasant atmosphere. Amazing views. I would advise taking additional pillows with you. We have now stayed at a number of YHA hostels. Always positive and good value for money. Thank you YHA Bath.

Lovely hostel but sadly ,even though it has loads of space, it still doesn't give a stove for cooking in self catering kitchen. Just dry oven friers and microwaves. Also needs more secure cages under the beds. No point having 1 for 2 people. Just ads a second one. Each person needs one. All that said , I would definitely come back and stay here again and would definitely recommend the hostel.

Great value for money with epic view over the city. No parking but you can drop off bags and park the car for free on the road at the bottom of the drive. Lovely staff throughout our stay. One adult travelling with two kids, ages 9 and 11, sleeping in private en suite room
