I've stayed at this hostel 4 or 5 times now and have loved every stay. Firstly location wise being so close to the arnolfini and harbour side is excellent, the staff are very friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. The rooms are always tidy and there is very little noise from inside the hostel. One previous visit also saw a local musician play some acoustic music which was lovely. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

If you're absolutely desperate to save money, this isn't the worst place to stay. It's a very basic, no frills spot to crash for the night, especially in the dorms. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful, which made a big difference. The cafe and breakfast options could really use more vegan choices, though. Overall, not a bad place at all, just very simple.

YHA redefined It's been quite a while since I last stayed in a YHA place and my experience in Bristol blew me away. At every single area the experience was nothing short of outstanding. The staff, their helpfulness, the drinks, food, beds, luggage storage, showers (amazing). It was perfect. Well ok one toilet could have been a bit cleaner but that's my only negative. I highly recommend this place, especially it's location slap bang in the docks. But don't take my word for, try it for yourself.

We stayed here for a stag do and it seemed well kept and didn't feel ratty or run down like some hostels can. The food and beer was better than passable in the bar and I wrote enjoyed it. I can't speak to what it would be like if you hadn't booked the whole room, we had a en-suite room which was convenient and clean. My only small complaint is that the drinks package we booked for the function room was slightly underwhelming although we managed to have a good time in what is a conference room anyway. They did ask for everyone's driving license before letting us stay which was slightly long winded for a big group, but I understand it must be their general policy. The hostel is extremely well placed to see the city, being right next to the river and by a lot of the bats and clubs.

YHA Bristol is an excellent place to stay! The location is unbeatable—right in the middle of everything, with plenty to do nearby and easy to find. The staff is incredibly friendly, making the stay even more enjoyable. They serve amazing coffee, and the hostel has great facilities, including laundry and everything else you’d need for a comfortable stay. My room was spotless, and the washroom was well-equipped and spacious—big enough for two people to shower at once. Overall, this is the best place I can recommend in Bristol. Perfect for budget travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and a great atmosphere!

On Friday 29th April, my wife and I had a pretty trying day: issues with travel and a very substandard meal with a rude waitress. We stopped at YHA on our way home and there we were greeted by 2 wonderfully genial young women who were welcoming and chatty and raised our spirits. It was a short visit but very positive. If all those who visit YHA are lucky enough to be looked after by these young ladies, they will be in good hands

Unfortunately this hostel is mostly occupied by older homeless people. Be aware if you’re looking for a social or young crowd this is not the place! Other than that it was ok, the staff were friendly and helpful at least. I stayed two nights but likely won’t return. Rooms are average for hostel. I had to change rooms due to creepy older roommate.

Amazing bike storage. Great breakfasts. Very warm Central heating. Great location. Showers cubicles rather tiny, so nowhere to put clothes to keep em dry. A few toilets n showers closed, broken I assume, otherwise excellent!

Yelp
This is a quality youth hostel located perfectly in the centre of tourist Bristol; looking out onto the floating harbour, the Arnolfini next door and other attraction such as @ Bristol, the Cathedral and Park Street only a stone's throw away. The hostel is of excellent quality, seemingly more like a hotel than a hostel, but still has dorms ranging from rooms for two to ten plus. The hostel welcomes groups and solitary visitors and has a range of communal spaces including a cafe, classroom, games room, library, lounge and canteen. The dorms are extremely tidy and well kept. The hostel isn't the cheapest you can find, but definitely worth the money for a comfortable and enjoyable visit to Bristol.

Yelp
I was misinformed about where to take a bus to the airport. Person in the bar did not know how to make a coffee. Room a little dirty and dusty smell bed clothes.

Yelp
THis youth hostel is similar to other types of Youth hostels - with accommodation in dormitories - typicallu 5 beds per room althought there are some family rooms which can be booked. Prices are much more resonable than a hotel, and this youth hostel is located right in the city centre - handy for transport links etc!

Yelp
The hostel is well located, nearby other attractions and entertainments. Reasonable price. Definitely recommend this one.
