YHA Byron Bay

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at since I got to Australia (1 month traveling) 🤩 Super comfy bed with a power outlet and phone holder right next to it such a bonus compared to so many other hostels! The place is super quiet and really well located (about 10 min from the Greyhound stop). Rooms are spotless, with individual lockers so handy to keep your stuff organized and not all over the floor. Finally, clean and well-maintained bathrooms !!!! Makes such a difference compared to so many other places! The kitchen is awesome spacious, well equipped (gas stoves, microwaves, kettles, etc.), and everyone can cook without getting in each other’s way. PS: there’s a cold-water fountain super handy ! First time I’ve seen that in a hostel 😄

Loved staying here! Great location, lovely and clean and relaxing communal areas. Surfboard hire available from reception and luggage store was useful

Could not sleep for the whole night. Doors (shared bathroom one...) were shutting very loudly all night (I mean, the room's walls were shaking) and people would not show any respect when coming back at 2AM. Payed 210$ per night for a room with minimum comfort while not getting any sleep...not worth it at all.

I was well, the place is very clean, workers are very friendly in specially Guillermo and Bianca, they solved me a problem with a smile. If you have little more money I recommend you give a suit room that it has own bathroom and people you find there there're respectful. I like YHA Byron Bay

Great spot, across the road from a woolies as well as a 5min walk to the main bars and pubs. The kitchen and toilets were always clean and big enough for all residents. Was disappointed to see curtains on hostel world but not actually have them on arrival :( but I’d still recommend it!

It‘s only 2 stars and not 5 because of my bed, it was so bad that i have neck problems now (it‘s stiff, i can‘t look to the left side). Bit besides the bed of being as hard as a brick it‘s a cool place, clean!

The location is convenient, near the groceries store and not far from Byron Bay Trail. The facilities are fantastic! I like working room, it's quite and clean and big. And whole place is basically clean

Definitely recommend this place, brilliant location and good price. I did get my own private room. Which was so good could not fault it.

AMAZING! probably my favourite hostel I've stayed in. hosts were amazing, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. they have a pool and upper deck to hang out at. if you want to do something local they can give you plenty of options to look at. for example I tried surfing and they referenced me to a place to go. very helpful. overall I loved this place and will try to book with them if I stay in bryon bay again

I was a little wary of staying in a hostel as I haven't done the whole shared bathroom down the hall thing in a few years but I was pleasantly surprised by the YHA. My friends and I were in a big enough group to share a six person room-- it was clean and fairly spacious, and the beds were comfy. The bathrooms were also very clean and there was never a wait for the shower. I also found that it wasn't noisy late at night-- either we came at a time when the big party people weren't staying or these guys do a good job of noise control late night. This hostel is super close to all of the bars and restaurants in Byron and only a couple of blocks to the beach. It was only $40 a night and that includes free use of their boogey boards and bicycles as well! We didn't use the kitchen but took a peek one day and it looked big enough to accommodate everyone. Would definitely recommend this to a budget traveller.
