We loved every minute of our stay at this beautiful hostel! In fact, we planned our visit here around their availability. :) I briefly lived in Cambridge 20 years ago, and often walked past this beautiful hostel on my way two and from the train station. There was always the loveliest atmosphere around the place, and such a safe and convenient location. It was so nice to see that nothing has changed in this regard. |There were five in our group - two adults and three children. As such, we booked a private room. It was beautiful, convenient, and very secure! We did share restrooms, but with such a small group of other rooms that it was almost like having an en suite. |The staff could not have been more kind and helpful. It was our second day in England from the USA, and we were thinking through many logistical questions as we got acclimated. The staff were so helpful as we thought through transportation options. |The breakfast was the best I've eaten at any YHA property, undoubtedly. And the dining area has so much character! We loved the mural of famous Cambridge alumni punting together. |I would recommend this hostel to anyone. It's a wonderful lodging in a phenomenal city.

One of the best hostels I’ve been to! The room are great, the separate shower and toilet where clean. The location is perfect as well, 5min walk from the train station and 15min walk from the city centre with lots of cafés and supermarkets nearby. The staff is super friendly as well! The only thing I would say is that the room were quite warm at night and we were only in June, but there was 2 fans so that really helps and I still slept great (beds comfy)

I really like YHA – they’re so reasonably priced and offer great convenience, making it feel almost like a home away from home. Cambridge YHA was no different. It’s not a long walk from the town centre or local places to eat, and during our stay, they were celebrating their 80th anniversary.||The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They let us know in advance about a group of children arriving, which really helped us plan our stay, especially around breakfast times.||If I had one piece of constructive feedback, it would be that the children’s group ended up taking over the residents' lounge and dining area. That did make it a bit difficult to find a quiet place to sit and read.||That said, I’d definitely come back again. I loved the décor, and overall, once you’ve been to one YHA, you’ve kind of been to them all – they each have their quirks, but they all share that same cozy, welcoming vibe.

What a fabulous place to stay! Top class service and everything we needed on site. Staff were helpful, efficient and polite. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and kept very tidy. An excellent location 5 mins walk from the train station and 10 mins to get into Central Cambridge. Would recommend to anyone.

Excelent location to the train station. The rooms were clean, and had a charger on each of the bunks which is very helpful. Plenty of room to keep your bags in a safe lockable mini closet. The communal kitchen was incredibly clean. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. I definitely recomend the coffee at the cafe/bar onside The photo was the view from the dorm.

Ideal to spend a few days in town and not getting ruined. Friendly and helpful staff, comfy rooms, acceptable breakfast. No frills lodging but suitable if you travel with kids, want to feel at ease and look for a nook to sleep, and enjoy the rest of the city. Second time we've been there, looking forward to the next one.

Amazing service, great location to get to know Cambridge. Staff is wonderful, shared facilities are pretty nice. The rooms get quite warm though.
