Overall, we had a fantastic time here. Check-in is very late at 5pm so we found somewhere to store our case before arrival.
On arrival, staff were incredibly friendly. All the staff were lovely and helpful.
Foodwise, the menu was unsurprisingly minimal, but functional enough. For drinks, the menu had the wine prices, but not the price for anything else, which I found very odd.
Breakfast was disappointing. It was less of a buffet and more just handed to you. Great from a food wastage point of view though, but it did feel expensive for the amount we got. The coffee machine was out of order.
The self catering kitchen was a good size and well stocked but only one under counter fridge. We didn't really get to use it as we came on public transport and didn't have time to get to a shop once we'd checked in.
The communal areas were great. Plenty of seating dotted around, none of it was in fantastic condition, but it was functional enough.
No complaints about the room itself. The ensuite wasn't the best though. The seals around the shower are coming away and have black mould spores all over them. The shower is fixed and not ideal when you're over 6 foot.
The toilet roll dispenser is right in your face when using the toilet. That wasn't fun.
Externally the place needs some repairs as you can see many wooden frames literally crumbling.
Despite the little things, we loved visiting, I'd definitely go again with the kids. As an adult though, the mattresses were the most comfortable. The kids found them comfy though.
