YHA Conwy

I cannot in good conscience give more than two stars... although the staff was lovely and the shared kitchen was very convenient to have, our room was not comfortable. Due to the exterior wall being completely made of glass, it became terribly hot inside after just a few hours of sunshine. The temperature in my bed was at 35°C in the afternoon!! (Surely it can't be legal to let guests suffer under these temperatures...) Couldn't go to sleep until about 11pm, because the window could only be opened a tiny amount so it took a long time for the air to cool down. I hope it's not such a big problem during the other seasons, but in summer I'd definitely not stay here again.

We enjoyed our 3 days in one of the two tents they have. A bit chilly at times, despite the log-burner (which goes out after a while if not attended) but a lovely bell tent. The staff were all very helpful and the atmosphere in the dining room area was always relaxed and pleasant. Kitchen facilities were good and the breakfasts we had were very nice. All in all, highly recommended.

Didn't know what to expect as I'd never stayed in a hostel before but was pleasantly surprised! I was made to feel very welcome by all staff members, the place is really big with a big self catering kitchen, bar, large communal areas and games room. The location is stunning too! You have the mountains, and the harbour, as well as the amazing castle, all within walking distance. |Would definitely stay again, and would recommend to everyone. Was spotlessly clean too.

You will not find views as good as this in any yha. Snowdonia mountains one side. Great orme and conwy bay on the other. It was also the cleanest yet, every day I saw floors being mopped. Do not miss the garden and summer house.||.

Had a one night stay here and it was good stay. The kitchen had lots of equipment to use and it was nice to sit in the observation room to look at the views. Would recommend

We have stayed at lots of different Youth Hostels and love how unique each one is. After spending a week at the Llyn Peninsula, we booked a night here for an overnight visit to Conwy. Great location, with it being just a short walk to the town and there was plenty of free parking, which can be a challenge at some YHAs. Our Family room was a good size and we enjoyed having the convenience of an ensuite room. We treated ourselves to the breakfast, which was great value. There is an observation deck on the top floor, and you do get great views of the surrounding area. Good self catering facilities and definitely a YHA on our to return to, as there is more in the area we want to explore.

I stayed for 2 nights in a 4 bedded female dorm. Lovely and clean, very quiet and the staff were all very helpful. I didn’t use the kitchen or cafe so I can’t comment on those. The parking here was a definite bonus during my visit. Highly recommended.

Whilst it is starting to look a little tired around the edges this is a decent hostel just outside town with some beautiful views in both directions. Twin room with bunk was very small but cosy and clean and pretty quiet. Shower was ok, temperature was inconsistent but nice and powerful. Cost of drinks is shocking, breakfast was decent and staff were freindly without being effusive.
