We loved staying here. Fantastic facilities and grounds for the children to run about and play. Lovely restaurant which you are able to have breakfast in with beautiful views across the Welsh hills. In the evening we had a short stroll in to Conwy and enjoyed fish and chips on the front. Definitely will be back.

Overall, we had a fantastic time here. Check-in is very late at 5pm so we found somewhere to store our case before arrival. On arrival, staff were incredibly friendly. All the staff were lovely and helpful. Foodwise, the menu was unsurprisingly minimal, but functional enough. For drinks, the menu had the wine prices, but not the price for anything else, which I found very odd. Breakfast was disappointing. It was less of a buffet and more just handed to you. Great from a food wastage point of view though, but it did feel expensive for the amount we got. The coffee machine was out of order. The self catering kitchen was a good size and well stocked but only one under counter fridge. We didn't really get to use it as we came on public transport and didn't have time to get to a shop once we'd checked in. The communal areas were great. Plenty of seating dotted around, none of it was in fantastic condition, but it was functional enough. No complaints about the room itself. The ensuite wasn't the best though. The seals around the shower are coming away and have black mould spores all over them. The shower is fixed and not ideal when you're over 6 foot. The toilet roll dispenser is right in your face when using the toilet. That wasn't fun. Externally the place needs some repairs as you can see many wooden frames literally crumbling. Despite the little things, we loved visiting, I'd definitely go again with the kids. As an adult though, the mattresses were the most comfortable. The kids found them comfy though.

We enjoyed our 3 days in one of the two tents they have. A bit chilly at times, despite the log-burner (which goes out after a while if not attended) but a lovely bell tent. The staff were all very helpful and the atmosphere in the dining room area was always relaxed and pleasant. Kitchen facilities were good and the breakfasts we had were very nice. All in all, highly recommended.

The staff where approachable enough and helpful with what to do in the area. The building I don't mind it's age, just be aware it's uphill all the way to it - which leads to good views. Check in wastes paper just for just a name and address, this could be digital. Facilities are good and clean. All the doors have strong closers, I have three problems with this: one none where adjusted correctly to close the doors consistently, every door had a different weight; two they all SLAM, three it's easy for children to get injured because of the door weight. The security lock on the room door did not latch easily, roommates did not think to use the room key to close the door and instead SLAM it shut at stupid o'clock. I had to ask the heavy footed guests in the room above to be quieter. I don't like showers and toilets in the rooms because of the disturbance. Beds can not be reserved so if you need a bottom bunk it's negotiating with the other guests and swapping sheets around. Frames could do with attaching to the wall to help prevent squeaking. The room shower needs fixing, but there are others on the floor to use. It's a pity guests smoke so close to the main doors. Overall I've have been better sleeping on the pool table or knocking myself out with sleeping tablets. I couldn't buy an espresso coffee without buying the breakfast meal. Perhaps that was lost in translation. Many guests where confused, getting the tea in the morning then finding they had to pay! Not clear, it looked complementary

I cannot in good conscience give more than two stars... although the staff was lovely and the shared kitchen was very convenient to have, our room was not comfortable. Due to the exterior wall being completely made of glass, it became terribly hot inside after just a few hours of sunshine. The temperature in my bed was at 35°C in the afternoon!! (Surely it can't be legal to let guests suffer under these temperatures...) Couldn't go to sleep until about 11pm, because the window could only be opened a tiny amount so it took a long time for the air to cool down. I hope it's not such a big problem during the other seasons, but in summer I'd definitely not stay here again.

I stayed for 2 nights in a 4 bedded female dorm. Lovely and clean, very quiet and the staff were all very helpful. I didn’t use the kitchen or cafe so I can’t comment on those. The parking here was a definite bonus during my visit. Highly recommended.

Decent stay for the price. Super friendly staff, nice communal area, and even got a free coffee in the morning. Rooms could be a bit cosier with more plug sockets.

You will not find views as good as this in any yha. Snowdonia mountains one side. Great orme and conwy bay on the other. It was also the cleanest yet, every day I saw floors being mopped. Do not miss the garden and summer house.||.
