YHA Keswick

This was my first time staying at a yha and I booked a dorm room for me and my son the first night the room was red hot and both the other people in the room were snorers so I had a terrible nights sleep! However in the morning I explained my predicament and I was upgraded to a private room for no extra charge and this was much better! The bar area was nice the facilities are great and the location is brilliant. However the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired i would definitely stop here again but would not have the breakfast. Much tastier alternatives are available nearby.

We have stayed at Keswick YHA a lot and always enjoy the experience. The staff have always been great. It is really good to see that some investment has been made to the building and our room was freshly decorated and really good. It may have been reconfigured not sure but there was definietly an improvement to the showers. It was great to see that these hostels will continue and be invested in. We did not eat at the hostel but it also looked like the menu had been updated.

Great facilities and location very near to the town centre. Clean and tidy rooms with shared showers and bathrooms. Great bar overlooking the river and the breakfast was also good value and very tasty.

A great place to stay. Rooms and shower / toilet facilities kept clean even in busy times. Breakfast was great value . If you are after a comfortable base to explore Keswick and the surrounding area then look no further.

Yet another YHA success. This is a lovely hostel, with a view of river Greta and Fitz Park. We were very warmly welcomed by the staff and they all were brilliant, accommodating and helpful. ||The bedroom itself was fine, except it was far too hot. Not sure whether it was the weather or it being situated right next to the drying room, but we were very grateful for the fan that was provided. ||The one thing we would have appreciated knowing ahead of time was the Disc Parking on Station Road, which did catch us out. So if you are driving then please do make sure you get a disc for the parking attendant.||From a situation point of view this YHA is brilliantly placed, for any activity you would want to do. ||Would very happily come again.

I have based my review on the overall stay. We have stayed here before and had a great stay so one of the reasons for booking again. I can’t fault our stay but in the past after parking our car we have been given a disc for the parking. When we asked this time we were told there were no discs, so they wrote on a scrap of paper details of the parking. Upon leaving I received a fine for PARKING IN A DISC PARKING PLACE WITHOUT DISPLAYING A VALID DISC. I have been in touch with YHA but they are NOT interested, having paid hundreds of pounds to stay and extra for an evening meal, you don’t deserve our custom.

Had a great stay at YHA Keswick. Jude, who checked us in, was incredibly helpful—he pointed us to some brilliant hiking routes and recommended great spots for food and drinks. The rooms were very clean, and the location right by the lake is stunning. Would definitely stay again!

It's always a pleasure to stay at the Keswick YHA. The staff are always first rate and are customer focused. The rooms were clean and tidy and the food was hearty, reasonable and served with a smile.
