YHA Keswick

I think for the money we paid it was fantastic value. I've stayed in a number of hostels and I think this was the cleanest and comfiest I've stayed in so it definitely exceeded my expectations. The location couldn't be more perfect for the hikes we had planned and it was great it was walking distance to a lot of restaurants and pubs which was perfect after a tiring day of hiking. We stayed in December so I was worried about being chilly but the rooms where warm and there were nice thick duvets. Staff were really welcoming and helpful. Will definitely be back and even hoping to check out some of the other YHAs

I rarely leave reviews but this place is absolutely amazing. Tidy facilities, friendly staff, well equipped self catering kitchen, all radiators worked. Love this place a lot. Good for a weekend break . Internet is also working.

this was the best, the absolute best hostel i have ever stayed in during my stay in the UK. my friends and i went on a roadtrip to the lake district and got a great deal at £13 per person. we rented a private room with 6 bunkbeds and private bathroom for the 5 of us and the room was clean, modern, the staff was lovely as well he gave us the best recommendations on where to go for sunrise in keswick. the shared kitchen was clean and spacious. the view in front of the hostel was magical. would defo come back. however u have to walk quite a bit from the parking area to the hostel (not too far, around a 3 minute walk) as they didnt have a designated parking area so we had to park on the side of the road.

Only stayed for one night, and had a whole dorm to myself. I have suffered with migraine attacks my whole life and unfortunately suffered from a really bad one the night I stayed here due to the long journey from Brighton and could not have been happier with my stay :) I sleep for over 12 hours uninterrupted the kitchen was amazing brilliant breakfast and the staff were incredibly friendly. Not to mention a fantastic location! I cannot wait to come back!

A very Nice hostel to check in for your vacation in Keswick. The staff are very friendly and the food in the Restaurant was amazing. It offers stunning and scenic views. Also the location is great which offers a lot of nearby activities to enjoy !!

Really wonderful YHA, beautifully situated by a scenic river and lovely gardens just up the road from the premises. Really lovely staff, the person who checked us in was really friendly and other staff who were doing tasks around the hostel were really nice too. The shower room seemed new, was very very clean and had nice white marble walls. The bathroom was also clean and pleasant. The kitchen was well equipped and nicely decorated, with perfect view out over the river. Lots of seating areas. The dry room is highly efficient and has plenty of space for everyone's stuff. Obviously it is a youth hostel rather than a hotel, so not everything was perfect. I found the mattress wonky because of the imprint of previous people. The pillow was also uncomfortable to sleep on. The bottom sheet was too small for the mattress so would come off and was quite annoying. That being said, it was much better than other YHA I have stayed at so I would stay here again.

Have not stayed yet, planning to in the summer, but we stop by regularly to use the cafe wonderful food and beverages at reasonable prices. Staff friendly and service is excellent. Highly recommend.

Spotlessly clean. Comfortable. Welcoming staff. Great breakfast. Lovely hostel in brilliant location overlooking river. Bar and cafe in hostel and comfortable places to sit. Excellent self catering kitchen. Staff were very friendly. Beds were comfortable and the shower was really good. We will definitely return. Keswick was a lovely place too with great amenities
