YHA Liverpool Albert Dock Hostel

Liverpool YHA is okay. Our private room was really nice, especially the modern-ish toilet and shower. The evening staff was a bit moody and just didn't really wanna speak to people. However the daytime staff were perfect. The lobby / social area is dark for no reason and also humid - not very social in my opinion. The location is perfect if you like walking down the side of a main road - or getting on the hourly bus to the airport. Still a decent YHA, just not the best, not the worst.

This is a very good hostel. Its not that far from Albert Dock in Liverpool so quite convenient. Private rooms were good price and that is why I stayed there. Very good ensuite room, comfortable bed, and very warm (December). Quiet at night.||Staff were nice, efficient and welcoming.|Kitchen was large and well provided for!

A fantastic place to stay! Warm, modern and welcoming. AllThe staff are lovely and friendly. Our private en suite room and bathroom was spacious, clean and tidy, the reception area modern and welcoming too. Car parking available if you need it. The staff even made us a pizza at 11pm as we arrived back tired, wet and cold from being at the match. The best bit was the breakfast, it was amazing and in a separate dinjng area. Full choice of traditional hot English breakfast or continental. Fresh coffee and tea and juices too.

This is my fifth stay, rooms and bathrooms are invariably meticulously clean. Very comfortable mattress. Bedding immaculately fresh. It is very very warm in the room. If you stay in a shared bed dormitory, it's unlikely you'd get a good sleep, but this is something outside of anyone's control. Wall insulation is not great, prone to noise. However for the price they charge, it's a five star. Polite staff. Very thorough with ID checking, which is an extra star, I guess

For the money you can’t beat the rooms and the service. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We stayed NYE and were greeted with good spirits, the food from there is also good for value. Amazing portions. Rooms were clean and what you get for your money. Just what we needed.

For price rooms are great, clean and comfortable. Staff friendly, welcoming and helpful. Good location. There is traffic noise, but it is in the middle of a city so to be expected.

I stayed in a shared room of 6 beds in this hostel for the weekend of 3 of October, i would recommend it, rooms don’t have too much people and the atmosphere is nice, it was clean and bathroom was inside the room. Breakfast was fine and the location is good enough. All for a really good price. The only thing i will improve is the pressure of the shower.

I stayed here several years ago in a small dorm and had a negative experience as a result of other guests, but not the fault of the venue.||A much more positive experience this time so an updated review is required.||I was staying in (209) a small room but with sole / non shared occupancy. The room was simply furnished but had everything you would need for 1 day stay. It was clean, warm, comfy bed, table and storage and power to charge phone/devices. The beds were arranged as bunks with a lower double with a single above so would be suitable for couples or small families that want some privacy. 209 is one of a handful of similar rooms on this small corridor. Not en-suite rooms but with toilet and shower rooms opposite. These were clean and tidy and everything looked quite new. And lockable of course.||I had arrived quite late but the reception here is 24 hrs and I spoke to the desk via the intercom to get access without a problem.||There was a busy coffee shop/ breakfast bar in the shared spaces next to reception the morning.||The location of YHA Liverpool is not in the heart of Liverpool city centre but It’s a 20-25 minute walk from Lime Street station. Located opposite the dock area - a minutes walk past the giant Ferris wheel at M&S arena. The is a Tesco express a minutes walk away also.||All in all a very positive experience and would gladly consider staying here again.
