Clean, though musty smelling. Unseasonably warm temps made the room quite warm. The self catering kitchen was very convenient. The purchased breakfast was plentiful and well prepared. Definitely recommend the breakfast if you're setting out for the day.

We felt this hostel to be the best for our stay. Rooms were cleaned everyday, a hearty breakfast for 6 pounds, excellent pastries and coffee. Location was great, the cafe portion with internet was a welcome calm after a busy day. The only drawback was that the laundry machines were not working properly if at all. The wonderful, friendly, helpful staff was the best part. I would highly recommend this place.

We stayed for 2 nights in a private room with 4 beds. The location is perfect, very close to the city center (5 min walk). The staff are friendly and helpful and the price is ok. However, our room smelled bad from the bathroom and the cleaning could have been a bit better. But over all, well worth it and we could come back.

Nice hostel in a good location. It was tidy, the beds were comfy. A little noisy at night because of student groups. Laundry room which was good though did come with a charge and the drier didn't dry too well. Laid back atmosphere, helpful staff. A room for luggage storage too.

Great location, very clean and the heater in our private room kept it plenty warm. Train noise from the nearby station woke us up a couple of times, but it was fine. Apparently both hot water heaters had failed the day before we arrived, which we were promptly notified of upon check in and offered 25% off our booking - good on them for being upfront and generous about it! They had a backup water heater going by the morning though so we did get a short hot shower anyway. Would certainly stay here again.

Situated in a nice location - not too far from the local park and rides, whilst being close enough to the city centre. Plenty of rooms to manage in peak periods. A lovely little garden with plenty of seating. Shame about backing onto the train station with regards to noise. Light sleepers might struggle with the trains, but it was never an issue for me. Friendly staff, and good food

The place was true for it's price. Location is very good it's a 2 min walk to the bus stop and frequent buses to city centre can be boarded from here. Common area, bathroom and kitchen were clean. The rooms were good enough. The hostel is without any lift, so if you want to stay here and have issues with stairs; recommend calling prior and reserving ground or first floor rooms.

It's a hostel, so it's not luxurious, but it's clean, comfortable and good value. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There's a bar and restaurant (with meals to satisfy hungry travellers), and good self-catering facilities. Note that there is no lift inside the building. The location is very close to the train station and bus stops, and a 5-10mins walk into the heart of the city. We'd very happily stay here again.

Yelp
This was my first time ever staying in a hostel and it was a great first impression! Staff are helpful and ensure all the public toilets are kept clean. Comfortable rooms and especially the beds & bunk beds. Safe area and didn't feel like any of my items would get stolen (& they didn't!). Loved the lounge area to just sit, chill and work. Breakfast tasted good everyday although was always the same thing. However, dinner was a bit of a disappointment every night as food was either a bit too bland or just didn't taste good.

Yelp
So, first time staying in a hostel and I have to say this place was great. Warm friendly staff, location is clean, rooms are clean, close to the train station, a few minutes to multiple food options. I personally can't find anything to be upset about here.

Yelp
I would give thIs place 0 stars if possible. Just spent €50 on food with a few friends and we were told we are not allowed to use the kitchen.. duty manager totally rude to us and told us he didn't care. Hostel room also smells oddly of raisins. Avoid this place at all costs.

Yelp
Excellent water pressure in the showers, but they're moldy. Great common areas, but wifi is £5.

Yelp
Parents spent their time in Oxford here, cannot stop singing its praise! Good showers, wonderful all-you-can-eat breakfast for £5, conveniently located to everything (though perhaps a bit too close to the train station), clean and full of friendly faces from all over the world. Figured I would look YHA to give it a thumbs up. Stay here!

Yelp
The hostel is well-located and relatively attractive (nice common areas inside and out), but it's quite expensive and not a good value for the expense, at least in comparison with what hostels cost and offer in the USA based on our experience with those in California. Our first stay here at a European hostel was disappointing overall. Room with twin beds was about $90 with many noisy guests making rest and sleep difficult, small kitchen, staff not particularly knowledgeable or helpful. Also, breakfast advertised as complimentary cost about $10, towels were $3 each). I advise looking elsewhere for more comfortable and affordable accomodations.
