We had a family party weekend at the hostel, It was fabulous. Great location, plenty of outside space for champagne rounders, so much fun. It is very clean and spacious with fantastic views of the beach and sea and water sports available for more fun. Equipment included.

Booked the whole hostel for 3 nights for 13 people (5 mums and 8 kids of various ages). A slightly later check in time than anticipated, apparently due to the previous occupants leaving it in a sorry state! Not a huge problem, and we felt for Liam who worked so hard tidying and cleaning the hostel ready for our stay. He remained cheerful and helpful and is a credit to the organisation!||||Loved our stay! Fabulous views out of the dining room window and we didn’t have to use our cars for our whole stay - beautiful walks, beach amazing for the children - rock pooling, body boarding and ice creams from the local shop! Weather also better than expected! We had booked a Tesco delivery to arrive on our first evening, and despite being told it couldn’t be delivered to the hostel (involved driving across the campsite field next door), the food delivery did indeed arrive directly to the hostel door! ||||Hostel facilities exactly as described. Well equipped kitchen (had to buy more washing up liquid, as no spare supplies - not a massive problem). Plenty of crockery, cutlery, cups, glasses, pans, trays etc.. plenty of room in dining room/lounge area (might be a bit snug if 26 people were staying at the hostel!) Bathrooms and showers fine for what we needed - 2 downstairs showers didn’t seem to get very hot, but en suite and upstairs shower absolutely fine. A range of different sized bedrooms, which perfectly suited our needs. Good sized rooms, all containing a sink and hand soap. Beds made up on arrival. Only issue we had was storing recycling at the end of our stay - storage shed filled to capacity and general waste couldn’t be put in the facilities in the parking lane. Drying shed ideal for hanging of wetsuits and storing our beach items during our stay. ||||We all had an amazing time and would definitely recommend and stay again. Arrived home tired but having made some amazing, long lasting memories!

The location can't be beaten, and the facilities are good. If you're looking for the high life give it a miss, but for peace, quiet and communing with nature this is the place. This was my first solo trip as a widow and I felt safe and secure. The staff are friendly and approachable. Breakfast and evening meals on the slipway watching the sunrise and sunset was magical. I enjoyed swimming off the sandy part of the beach, and saw a lot of the local wildlife including lizards and bats. A great introduction to my new single life.

What a brilliant location! Lovely hostel, brilliant views from the lounge/diner. The self cater kitchen is very well organised. Staff were lovely and really helpful. We were in room 7 - a compact but comfortable 2 bed room. Shared bathroom facilities clean, tidy and practical. |We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend.

An amazing hostel for a seaside break with our little 3 year old. Right on the beach so we could be completely immersed from breakfast through to bedtime. Breakfast overlooking the water, picnics on the sand, amazing short walks to explore from the hostel. We felt so welcome and comfortable and everything is spotless. We can’t wait to come back.

My 16 year old son and I spent 2 nights here. We couldn’t have asked for more. Set in the most beautiful location, with the most friendly and helpful hosts we had a fantastic time. The rooms, living area and kitchen were clean and everyone friendly. This was the first time we had stayed at YHA and what a wonderful introduction it was. Thank you 😊

Spotlessly clean and comfortable Youth Hostel, right on the beach. Access by car is via a small track between the public car park on the left, and a separate campsite entrance on the right. Park at the end of the lane (not obstructing the coastguard route to the left) and it's a short walk through the next field to the Hostel.

I love this place. It is a simple hostel, no meals provided, with the only access by foot, though you can get a car to within a 100 metres if need be. The location, on the Gower peninsula in South Wales, is exceptional, with magnificent views across the bay from this former lifeboat station. The manager is very helpful & welcoming, the Gower Peninsula is a wonder.
