Purpose built YHA hostel with en suite bathrooms. Perfectly located on the edge of Sherwood Forest and walking distance to a few good pubs.

The place is wonderful for those visiting the area and wanting to be close to nature. It's across the road from the visitor's centre and about a two minute walk from all the trails to explore the forest. As well as being extremely convenient for location, the the service was phenomenal. The food was superb quality and tasted great, morning and evening. The rooms were more than enough for a stop over and there were plenty of utility services available. I'll definitely be visiting again, even just for a bite to eat, if possible.

Our group hired the whole place for three nights, we liked it and we are already planning to go back again next year. The kitchen was spacious enough and adequately equipped. The dining room is next to the kitchen and large enough for our needs. The lounge upstairs is also large enough for our needs. I didn't check all rooms but number 5's bed is a little bit on the small side. The location is fantastic and overall its a five star stay for us.

Brilliant hostel within throwing distance of the new visitor centre. The play area there is great for kids. Hostel staff very friendly. Breakfast is plentiful if you choose to have it. The self catering kitchen is well stocked and right off the dining room. The lounge upstairs is a good space. The rooms were compact but adequate. Beds comfy enough for a couple of nights, linen smelt fresh and clean. Shower was lovely and hot, but a little poorly positioned and not adjustable. Overall a great stay, well positioned for the visitors centre and the local town. And a short drive to beautiful Clumber Park. Sherwood steam train is worth a visit too (short drive away) but great for little ones. We would recommend a short stay here for sure.

Went on a rugby tour here, the facilities are perfect for such an event with a large number of adults and children. Self catering but it’s an amazing area. No complaints from me I thought the set up was stress free. Could do with somewhere to put rubbish bins though. No bins 🤔

We stayed here as a group of 35, hired to whole place for the weekend. Great location. Local amenities very close, including pubs, cafes and shops (10 min walk). Great location for walking as in Sherwood Forest, and about a 15 min walk to the Major Oak. Cricket club opposite which provided some relaxing entertainment. Rooms were perfect and great for families, a mix of double bed and bunk beds. Lounge room upstairs, and a large communal dining / social area downstairs with adjoining kitchen. All very clean. Linen provided. Just need own towels.

A much smaller hostel than we have stayed in before, but it was well laid out and the space was well equipped, and with friendly staff. Our family room was clean and tidy with an excellent shower ensuite room, lovely shower. We had an additional door in our room to the outside which opened out to the garden/car park; this made leaving and packing up easier, also its nice to sit out as each room has its own outdoor space with seat. The car park is small so get there early before it opens at 5pm. Right opposite the Sherwood Forest visitor centre, which is a lovely day out into the Forest. Recommended.

Fantastic place. Our church booked out the whole building. Great set up, everything you'd need. Rooms were great, showers great etc. All kept very clean. Kitchen worked great. Lounge upstairs was very comfortable. Just a walk away from Sherwood Forest visitors centre and the Major Oak. Lots around to see and do. Shops just down the road (walkable) if needed anything.
