The hostel was in a beautiful situation, and it was lovely and warm, at a very cold time of the year. We appreciated the common areas which were comfortable and clean and very spacious. Some of the bedrooms don't have washhand basins, but apart from that, sharing bathrooms worked out ok for our party

Beautifully located, Spacious room. Simple but functional amenities could do with some minor repairs.

Car park for Snowdon hike - excellent, machines took card. Arrived at 9:00 on a Saturday and they still had space.

Lovely coffee and cake here, staff was lovely, beautiful views on Snowdonia national park a bit shame the weather was not great but, we still enjoyed our day out.

Lovely weekend at Snowdon Rangers YHA. Pity no WiFi but this is a problem in the area so not just at the Hostel. Clean and well equipped. Would have liked the gas to be on in the kitchen from 7am rather than 7.30 but I can understand why it is off overnight.

Stayed here for five days as part of a coach group. Even though I was the driver, and not technically part of the group, the management and staff were very helpful. Nothing was too much bother and their local knowledge was definitely a godsend at times! The food was delicious, and there was plenty of parking (even for a coach!). The views are breathtaking, and I definitely advise everyone to stay here. Signal is very VERY hit and miss, but that's part of the beauty. It's a YHA so rooms are beds and a sink, but around here, you don't need much more as you'll be out enjoying the beautiful area you find yourself in.

The location is amazing, lovely views across the lake, great time walking around. Really welcoming staff providing a great service. Allowed free parking for my coach across the road. No phone reception at all. Luckily had WiFi. Room was tiny with only a bunk bed sink and a bedside cabinet in. It had a tiny skylight window in which only opens so much. Shared toilet and shower facilities which were next to my room and were clean but small. Had an annoying water pump system which kept me up most the night.

What a brilliant YHA. ||||I stayed here for 3 nights in a very very very wet/windy June trip. We used the hostel as a base for evenings, breakfast, takeaway lunch and dinner. The food was genuinely delicious (lovely crispy bacon and extra gravy!!), served promptly and in a very clean dining room. ||||The bedrooms were some of the cleanest I’ve stayed in amongst many YHAs, lovely fluffy duvets and pillows. ||||We couldn’t get the heating to work in the annex and Mike solved it for us immediately. Mike was really helpful, accommodated all of our requests and ensured that we had a brilliant stay. ||||There is no phone signal at all in the area (welcome to North Wales!) but the WiFi works well in the communal areas and main building. ||||If you cross the road you find a beautiful lake with lovely walks and the perfect bridge for Pooh sticks. ||||I would absolutely stay here again if visiting the area and will be recommending to friends and family.

Yelp
Set at the bottom of the Snowdon Ranger path, overlooking a lake this hostel is in a beautiful setting. I stopped there as part of a group so we had the hostel to ourselves. It was my first time in a traditional hostel so i was unsure of what to expect. The decor is a little alarming on the first floor, but the rooms and communal areas are clean, free from smells, and feel homely. When you look at the price you pay to stop in a YHA anything more than that really is a complete and total bonus. I'd stop there again without hesitation.

Yelp
We came for one night, giving the kids their first experience of youth hosteling. A stunning location, nestled right in the mountains and overlooking an impressive lake, we enjoyed our stay here. The staff are friendly and helpful and the communal lounge is a great place to chill out at night and have a game of cards - wifi available in the lounge. You can order dinner / breakfast at a reasonable price or use the self catering communal kitchen if you like. The washrooms are clean and well kept as was our dormitory room - it slept 6 in bunks and we had it to ourselves. Clean, fresh linen is provided and you can hire towels should you wish. The only downside was that the rooms were just so hot that it was a little uncomfortable to sleep - I noticed that a few rooms had their doors propped open with their bins. Overall, an impressive youth hostel.
