YHA Wells Next the Sea

A friendly home-from-home at the Wells YHA. Friendly staff and, as usual, fellow hoteliers. Kitchen well stocked, clean and ample fridge space. Bedrooms well kept and spacious, if a little noisy at peak times. Overall thoroughly recommended.

Clean and tidy rooms, communal showers and toilets.. Stayed here for a single night whilst birding with friends. We booked a room for 4 even though there were 3 of us, because we knew YHA rooms can be tiny. The room was still very small but fine for a night.

Always had a fabulous stay here between Dec 2012 and June 2019. Cosy, friendly and off road parking. Usually pretty clean too. 5 min walk through Wells to the harbour and shops.

Great location and price! Lovely helpful staff! Only non positive is the church next door which I think toll their bells on the hour, throughout the night? Not great if you're easily woken! Otherwise brilliant accommodation : )

Not too impressed if I'm honest. Didn't respond to email or phone message regarding availability. When I phoned the second time they answered the phone but we're not very friendly. Also refused to sell me food and drink because they were cashing up at end of month....what ? To cap it all had little or no sleep as there was a really bad snorer in the bed next to me. About the best thing was the shower. Probably won't be staying there again.

Highly recommended, the manager who is a volunteer is incredibly helpful and friendly. The room is spacious and has en-suite bathroom. The hostel is well appointed and clean. Guests very friendly.

Great hostel friendly volunteer staff. Clean Nicky set out would be wonderful for a family holiday. Three different rooms to use plus good kitchen

Excellent hostel with quirky spaces, lovely clean rooms and facilities. Self-catering kitchen was superb with multiple cookers, a fridge, plenty of pots and pans etc. A great base for exploring the area.
