Ylang Ylang Beach Resort

I cannot say enough, how wonderful this resort is! Everything was handled with perfection from our transportation, to our excursions, meals and room. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful surrounded by lush, tropical trees, plants, flowers, and just steps from the beach. The staff made us feel like family and when we had to leave there were many hugs goodbye. The food was amazing with so many different choices each one delicious! If you want to disconnect from everyday chaos, relax, re-energize and be in a beautiful setting around genuinely wonderful people then this the place for you!

This place is a unique experience that may not be for everyone. The jungle atmosphere and beach views are incredible. There were monkeys, birds and reptiles everywhere. The staff did a great job and very accommodating. Meals were very good and the views at dinner were great. We didn't see anyone in the water off the beach I think due to the large waves hitting the rocks. The sand is pretty soft and kind of grainy but not bad. The only downside would be for anyone with mobility issues. It can be a decent walk to your accomodations up and down some small hills. Also the walk to town is not for everyone, but a shout-out to Eric for his shuttle services. This place would be great for couples wanting to disconnect from thing with limited distractions. Overall we had a great time.

We stayed in room LJ5 I believe which is a 3-bed loft. A little tight for a family of 5 but it worked fine while we were there. The view was incredible and the room was comfortable. |The breakfast staff was truly amazing and was the best start to every day at the resort. Try the Cas juice! Its local only to Costa Rica and its incredible. |Our daughter especially loved Mimi the cat :)|We will definitely be staying at Ylang Ylang again! Thank you for an incredible stay!

Absolutely gorgeous resort. The beach is so beautiful, and never crowded. The jungle all around the resort is incredible. The waves were too strong to swim, but we didn’t mind - the pool is also really nice and deep. We saw so many animals just walking from our room to the restaurant! The staff is lovely and the food is amazing, and most importantly the additional VEGAN MENU which is one of the main reasons why we picked this place. There are a lot of options to pick from and the food is healthy and fresh. We stayed for a week and never got tired of it! The beach bungalow is a bit small and there is only a curtain separating the bathroom from the bedroom, but it’s clean and cozy, with a little private balcony and good air conditioning. They also have nice smelling Ylang Ylang products in the shower. The Spa is not included in the stay but so nice, we had some of the best massages of our life there. I definitely recommend the tropical body scrub which was so relaxing! It’s only a short walk from the resort into the small town which has a few restaurants and shops. My biggest recommendation: bring BINOCULARS and a good camera, we regretted not bringing any with all the amazing wildlife we spotted! Ylang Ylang is pure magic. Tucked away in the lush jungle just steps from the beach, it feels like your own little corner of paradise. The ocean, the slight breeze, and the birds create the most peaceful soundtrack.||The staff is warm and welcoming and truly goes above and beyond. The rooms are clean and have incredible views of the beach, ocean, and flora. They feel private and serene, surrounded by nature.||We loved the breakfast and dinner, which were included in our rate. Food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully plated. The beach is pristine and quiet, perfect for walking, swimming, or relaxing in a hammock.||The walk into Montezuma town is easy, about 15–20 minutes along the beach or road, and feels like part of the experience. To arrive at the hotel, drive a 4x4 across the beach, which is a fun experience. Those that don't - get trapped in the sand, which happens almost daily, despite multiple warnings by the hotel via email in advance and also posted in advance of the sand. ||If you’re looking for a peaceful escape that blends nature, comfort, and soul, Ylang Ylang is it. Can’t wait to return.||We schedule many events thru the hotel, but there are many tour companies right in-town ready to help. We did deep-sea fishing (we caught a 30-pound Tuna), surf lessons, Tortuga Island, an ATV rental, hours at the pool, walking and playing catch on the beach, and reading under the palms.

The setting is amazing! Rooms so close to the beach you can hear the ocean waves. Staff at the front desk were always very helpful. Housekeeping and cleanliness were excellent. Wait staff at the restaurant were attentive, although their hands were tied for flexibility with dietary changes. For other first time travelers know that you'll walk along a beach trail to get to the hotel from the small town. The hotel arranges for a dune buggy jeep to pick up you and your luggage.

A lovely resort right on the beach. The cabanas were really well kitted out. The staff were very nice and friendly, especially the kitchen staff.|Strongly recommend the truffles for desert, they were amazing! |Strongly recommend the yoga classes, expensive but worth it with the amazing views from the shala.|Do not take your car to the property car park unless you are very confident that you can drive across the sand! Leave your car at there sister property, it isn't too far away and they help you with your bag transfer so there is no stress.

My husband and I had a great time at Ylang Ylang. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The food was delicious. The pool was perfect. The scenery was beautiful. We stayed in a cabina but truly any of the accommodations looked like they would have been great. We flew CR Green Airways from San Jose to Cobano. Ylang Ylang took care of transportation from Cobano and everything went so smooth. We would definitely stay here again.
