Worth the trip! That was the most breathtaking view I've ever experienced in my life! Go at sun rise. It is easy to get lost in all the horrible things happening in our world today. This is a perfect reminder that God has created such a beautiful world. Problems seem to fade away when you turn to God! Get a good look at his creation here!

Beautiful!!!! Best to go during the week and not on a beautiful sunny weekend…so many people! But still, worth a stop at the Pretty Place chapel…stunning views…a special place!

Nothing short of amazing. Probably one of the best views in the state. Not easy to find, if in doubt ask once get to the Camp. Without doubt the best outside church/chapel have ever visited.

We arrived right before 5am so we could be on time for the 6am public viewing. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous. It weather was breezy and cool, perfect for the sunrise viewing 😊

I think this place was amazing it will take your breathe away. If you are ever in South Carolina I recommend you visit this place. The drive from High Point North Carolina was long but so so worth it. I plan on returning when the weather is better. We were only here about 5 mins after driving over 3 hours since they were about to close. By the way they closed at 6pm. The drive up to the actual site was a little scary to me coming from flat land Florida ... lol

Just had our wedding at the Pretty Place. The security guard was amazing at keeping visitors out and making sure only the guests could get in. Beautiful place and the bridal suite was perfect. They also left us a sweet card!

Checked their schedule 15-20 times, made plans for the day trip, checked once again before we left, and made the 1.5 hour trip from our campground, and right before we get there they closed it. (2 different stories from the staff) Something they could have posted first thing in the morning. Staff could care less, so not worth the hype. Very disappointing. Imagine paying for the venue for a wedding and they close it and just say well, your wedding will be able to happen tomorrow.

This place is amazing. Definitely a spot I would recommend to see in person. It's a bit of a drive up some winding roads so be prepared and also make sure you check their schedule as the hours of being open vary.

Yelp
Unfortunately the staff is ill equipped to handle special situations with campers. My granddaughter was bullied by several other girls there and rather than get to the bottom of it, the staff took the other girls word for things and my granddaughter was sent home. Be very cautious when sending your child there. This was her fifth year so they knew her but I suppose the families of the other girls were more "influential" to the camp.

Yelp
At the top of the mountain, a small, beautiful, open chapel called Pretty Place is located. The view is breathtaking. We were there for my cousin's wedding. Once the wedding was over, they opened it to the public. People packed in so quickly! The parking lot is super small so cars had to park along the side leading to it. There's a restroom in the chapel but it's only open during events. There are two porta potties on one side.

Yelp
This is the best camp ever! I can't say enough great things about this camp. The kids all have a great time there. It's obvious by all the live Facebook Posts and the hundreds of pictures they post daily. It's very close to Caesars Head and Brevard, so it's not a bad drive. This camp has it all! Swimming, Hiking, Horseback riding, archery, arts, crafts, parties, dances, and the food is also good. I highly recommend sending your kids here! They'll have a blast.

Yelp
It's beautiful! We went before sunrise but sadly rarely anyone is wearing a mask and it got a little crowded.

Yelp
New customers beware: I just tried to book a 1-hour weekday session in this chapel for the next year 2021. The pricing has an engagement rate of $250 for 2 hours but what it does not state is that this price can not be used for a renewal of marriage-not a wedding. This is no different than an engagement session, nothing legal just some people talking and pictures. So since I am already married, I'm not a potential customer and I am treated differently- but they will kindly charge me 600 dollars. I would be very cautious using this venue for any event if they discriminate and look for any way to make a higher buck behind a big cross.

Yelp
This review is for Fred W. Symmes Chapel or "Pretty Place" that is situated in the back of the camp. It's open to the public, and it offers a panorama of the upstate that is just beautiful. Everyone who visits upstate South Carolina should visit this place at least once. Many people like the view so much they offer wedding services in the outdoor chapel.

Yelp
This is the epitome of a classic summer camp. It is safe, friendly and child centered.
