I've only tried two teachers at this studio and they were both welcoming and warm, good instructors. Neither led us through ōm/chanting or gave any sutra talk, just straightforward asana practice at a slow-manageable pace.
It's a very simple studio setup -- no front desk, just walk in, there's an area with some seating to your left where you leave your shoes & things, and studio is to the right. I've never been in a yoga studio before that had windows. It's a storefront, so there are windows all along the north wall (frosted, so people can't see in). That and the very high ceilings with exposed pipes (industrial chic) and clean white walls give it a very airy atmosphere. They don't add to the feeling of intimacy, nor lend to the studio being very warm, so it's a mixed result. I prefer a more heated room that feels more removed from the hustle & bustle -- I find it makes for a deeper practice.
The studio is clean and attractively if sparingly decorated with minimal decor (the requisite Ganesha wall hanging). Plenty of new mats, blankets, props.
If GPS makes it hard to find, know that while it is in that shopping plaza with The Counter (burger place) etc it is on the north side, a storefront on 30th Street, just next to Crimson cafe which is in the corner.
