Good hostel with a central location as everything is in a walking distance. The vibe is nice at the bar but it is not a party hostel. Rooms were good, big locker, and comfy but, the heating in the room made it warm enough. Wifi was not the strongest in the room but it worked, it worked better downstairs. Staff is friendly. Probably the best hostel in Salzburg when it comes to price-quality, would stay again. They also give a free public transport card

The location of the hostel is very practical and close to the main station. The staff is very friendly and are available at all times. Breakfast was pretty good for the fee, and it was great that there was coffee and tea available at all times. The common areas were comfy as well. I wish the hostel bar was open until a bit later. The bed was comfy and sheets had a nice quality. Towels can be rented on spot. Points to improve: The toilets could have been cleaner. The hostel could organize some more activities or give the opportunity for more interactions: let's say, giving the chance to meet up on Fri or Saturday evening in the bar so that solo travelers can interact and know other people are willing to interact and go out together as well. This is a common practice in other hostels around the world.

Free tea and coffee all day is epic. Kitchen is a little disappointing as it’s not really set up to cook and you can’t wash your own dishes. It is relatively quiet so wouldn’t expect too much if you are social. Walkable from train station and easy to get to old town with the free public transport pass. Very safe as a solo female. Was in six bed en-suite women dorm that was spacious and bunks are sturdy. The lockers are large using your card that you enter your room so super secure. The bathroom needs way more attention for cleaning as mould was never wiped off walls for three nights. The staff should also think about not sitting at reception bitching about how they don’t like working there in English. Nice and warm for the colder months!

Attention Tall People. This Hotel is not for you beds are relatively short and if you are are taller than 190cm you won't be able to lay straight on the mattress. The ends of the bed are coverd so even laying diagonally isnt helping.

I stayed at Yoho International Hostel for two nights. The first thing that disappointed me was the bathroom and toilet setup. Before coming here, I had stayed in three other hostels, and all of them had at least one bathroom and toilet per dorm (usually shared by 6–8 people). At Yoho, only after completing payment at reception did I learn that there is one common bathroom shared across two floors and common toilets per floor. This was quite a turn-off for me. I checked in around 3 AM, and since the reception is open 24 hours, the receptionist informed me that I would need to go to the first floor for bathing, as the second-floor bathroom is reserved for women. At that point, I assumed even the toilets were only on the first floor. I was extremely tired and went straight to sleep, avoiding using the restroom since it required going downstairs. I later found out in the morning that toilets are actually available on each floor, and it’s only the bathroom that’s shared between two floors. When I woke up late in the morning, the toilets had been used by multiple people and were not clean, so I avoided using them. This is the main reason I’ve reduced two stars from my rating. On the positive side, the beds were already made and comfortable. The lockers come with keycard access, so no padlock is required. The hostel is very close to the train station, and the overall vibe of the place is good. They also provide a complimentary drink coupon that can be redeemed in the evening between 6 PM and 9 PM. Another great advantage was the free guest transit pass provided for staying at least one night. This was extremely useful for traveling around Salzburg and even for my trip to Hallstatt. Because of these positives, I feel the hostel deserves three stars overall. However, if the common bathrooms were cleaned more frequently, this issue could be easily resolved. I noticed that the condition of the toilet in the morning was the same when I returned in the evening, which clearly indicates that cleaning needs to be more efficient.

Rooms were basic, clean and organised. The shower rooms weren’t the cleanest but I think you get your money’s worth for a hostel. The staff were lovely- Simon at the front desk gave me great directions to get around salzburg and see everything. Location was good- it was 8 mins walk from Salzburg central hauptbanhoff station. All in all, great place for a great price. Would definitely recommend for solo and budget travellers.

It's good for what it is. The front desk staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. If I was 20 years younger I might have given it a better rating but I found it very hard to sleep here as there was just many folks who did not understand the idea of basic consideration. Quiet hours are supposed to be at 10:00 p.m. yet you have people slamming their doors all night long and talking in the hallway loud on speakerphone. Also the mattresses are kind of old and kind of thin and the pillows are completely pointless. Inevitably the internet can be kind of slow at times with that many people in one building relying upon it and the toilets do get kind of nasty throughout the day. Not too bad though but also not that great. As for me, I booked the single room which had been listed on booking.com as having its own private bathroom. What it had was a private shower which was cool but no toilet. Unfortunately there was mold growing also around the window in the room. Initially I was going to try to get out of the place after my first night there but I couldn't seem to get in touch with the manager so no one could really do anything for me. Over the course of four nights here, I probably got about 12 to 16 hours of sleep total and it really did make my visit to Salzburg kind of exhausting unfortunately. I was very grateful to leave. My basic advice would be, if you are under 30 or you're just a very heavy sleeper and looking to save a lot of money on your visit to Salzburg, this is the place for you. Otherwise if you are like me, don't bother with their single room as it really is kind of a pit.

Google
Good hostel for a short stay. Felt very safe as a solo female traveler. The rooms are nice and the bunks are sturdy. The lockers are very spacious and open with your room card which is nice not having to keep track of something else. Not the most social hostel but overall a good stay. It was very loud. The walls are thin and you can hear EVERYTHING.

Yelp
Great hostel--it's got a good atmosphere. Location is perfect between the train station and Mirabellplatz. The beds were comfortable. My biggest complaint and reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because there are no outlets or shelves on the top bunks. There are also no outlets in the bar area. I felt like I was struggling to keep my phone charged while in Salzburg. Other than that, the facilities were clean, WiFi worked well throughout the building, and the food & drinks at the bar were delicious.

Yelp
This is my first experience at a hostel. I LOVED the front desk staff. They are so friendly and patient (even when they have to say the same thing over and over and over again to the all the guest that keep streaming in). They are very knowledgeable about the area and always had a smile on their face. The room itself was very clean. I stayed on the second floor (which is the third floor to Americans) in a room with 4 beds. Inside the room there was a sink and lockers. With the lockers and a key card to get into the room, I felt pretty secure and my belongings were pretty secure. The toilets and showers are on the same floor. The shower area also had a bank of hair dryers- which was convenient. They had a big area to lounge around, a bar/restaurant area, and a laundry/kitchen area. Washers and dryers are available for a small fee. They only have two of each, so you have get to them early. They'll give you a map upon check-in which gives some suggestions on walking trails. The location is just a short walk into town. The area was very safe and quiet. I thought this was a very nice hostel to stay at and highly recommend YOHO to anyone staying in Salzburg. Very affordable also- especially if you book in advance online.

Yelp
What a fantastic hostel! I actually would prefer to give it 4.5 stars, but I would rather give the hostel the benefit of the doubt. Only and biggest complaint- there are no available charger outlets for the top bunk so you have to be trusting and leave your phone charging on the floor. There is also no shelf up there so you can't keep anything up there. The management is so incredibly friendly. Upon arrival, they are set out to help you check in and organize your stay with discount to for toes and such. You can rent a towel for just .50 euro. The actual property is extremely convenient to the city and is just a short walk from restaurants and bars. There is a bar in the ground level which is a great way to meet people in the hostel. The rooms are a bit tight, but not overly so. The bathrooms are some of the cleanest I've seen and I met the cleaning staff at least once per day. There are lockers with a card lock so no need to bring your own. Great security. Thanks for a great stay!

Yelp
a completely dorm style hostel. rooms are available with 2, 4, 6, or 8 beds. there's a communal bathroom on each floor with at least 4+ stalls with floor-to-ceiling doors. the showers are separated by gender and also have at least 4 stalls with frosted glass doors. each shower has a changing area and a shower area - VERY convenient, very spiffy blue coloring on the tiles, and VERY clean. and there's a whole line of hairdryers lining the mirror when you step out from your shower. much appreciated :) the kitchen churns out breakfast every morning and dinner every night. for a fee, of course. outside of those hours, the kitchen is free for personal use. each person gets their own electronic keycard that accesses both the door to your room and your own personal locker. there's also a sink in every room so if all you need to do is brush your teeth and wash your face, you don't need to run down the hall to do it. there's also a laminated poster on the inside of the room door that tells you rules, wifi codes, and general things to know about the city. you got a question? i bet you it's answered on that poster. our 4-person dorm room had 2 sets of wooden bunk beds.. brought me back to my college days. and each bed has the fluffiest comforter and big square pillow you've ever seen. out of all the hostels i've been in, this is the one with amenities closest to my own bed at home. that was the best night of sleep i got on my entire trip.

Yelp
Overall i was very satisfied with YOHO. I dont have too high of expectations when it comes to hostels - just looking for cheap, clean, central to town, and fun is a bonus. This was all 4. We stayed in a double room, which basically felt like a small dorm room. But it was modern clean and did the job. The staff is friendly and helpful. there is a reasonably priced bar downstairs which serves food too which was nice. As long as you aren't expecting a hotel, I think you will be very satisfied with yoho. We had a car and had to pay €9 to park in a nearby lot overnight which was a bit of a bummer.

Yelp
I only stayed here for a night but I really enjoyed my time in the hostel. I only had one other person in my dorm room. It was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was shared and did get extremely busy in the morning when everyone was showering. There were long lines for the few showers available. The hostel plays The Sound of Music every evening which is really nice to sit and watch. There's a decent bar/kitchen and a lounge area too but it's not a great place to try and meet people.

Yelp
Ive stayed in more than a dozen hostels in Europe, and this is the ABSOLUTE BEST. The staff is wonderfully organized, efficient, and helpful; the facilities are clean and charming; the location is superb, and best of all, this is the most fun atmosphere with amazing people! Hanging in the pub at night, complete with happy hour deals, was a great way to meet people, and the Sound of Music screening was a hit each night! Downsides: no wifi in the bedrooms and breakfast (3.5euro) was disappointing. Had it the first day and never again. Used the washing facilities, which were great!

Yelp
We arrived in Salzburg without a room reservation and luckily the Yoho had a room. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and cozy. The bar staff and happy hour was delightful. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
