Yokohama Park

This is an amazing park near Yokohama Stadium. I visited the park on December 7th, 2025. The fall foliage was still showing no sign of abating at the Japanese garden. The Christmas decorations were resplendent in red and white. I walked to Nihon Odori Street. The gingko trees stood like yellow monsters! Arigatou.

Located next to the Yokohama stadium this small park is a lovely little oasis with a nice lake and lots of spots to have a coffee in the shade. Even with a baseball game going on it didn’t get too crowded. Not huge but nice to stroll through and look at all the turtles in the lake.

I went there on Sunday (Mar 30). It was a nice park. Some types of tulips haven’t been opened yet. The park is located near Sakuragicho where has so many cherry trees along the river.

The beauty of Yokohama Park is well known as it is full of blooms all year round, cherry blossoms and tulips can be seen at the park the minute you walked in the vicinity. Yokohama stadium is located just a stone throw away. The entire park is enveloped with blissful joy as we look up to enjoy the Hanami while we bend down to zoom our view and admire the colourful tulips, red, purple, yellow, pink, just name it, you’ll have it. I spent a good half of my morning just sit around from bench to bench, enjoying the breeze on a beautiful spring weekend! It’s no wonder I started to see crowds after 9am onwards. Joyful look in adults and young toddlers or even silver generations alike and our furry buddies, immersing themselves in a wonderful morning during this spring! Take a stroll down the park and feel the morning joy yourself.

A park right next to the stadium. Plenty of tulips and beautiful scenery. The roars coming from the stadium fills the air with festive atmosphere.

There are various kinds of beautiful tulips in this garden. Such an eye-pleasing. There is also a playground in the middle of the park so kids can play while parents are looking at the scenery.

A very nice (very) small park with several water features, benches, and walkways that is just a few minutes walk away from Chinatown and next to the stadium. Although this park is very small and lacks the amenities of larger parks I give it 5 stars because it is simple, accessible, and is an oasis of peace and quiet. There is a pond (a metal fence prevents children falling in) and several stone benches scattered around. The nicest thing is the fact that although it is small it is highly designed and sculpted. Small streams criss-cross the park, flanked by the occasional stone lantern. Don't visit this park if you are expecting a large park with expansive manicured lawns to sit on. DO visit if you need a breather from the crowds and bustle of China Town and you are happy just to sit and relax surrounded by trees. When I visited it was not crowded but seating is limited as the park itself is small. Any time I visit China Town I'd consider this a possible stop off to unwind!

I saw a Baystars game for the first time, and it was a lot of fun! The crowd had different chants for each player. Bento, beer, and snacks are available for purchase as well as jerseys, hats, and lots of cute baystars swag. Definitely recommend checking out a game if you are in the area!
