Yonkers Public Library - Riverfront

Pleasant clean space with friendly staff and security. Our kids enjoy community movie time. They have vast array of books for kids, an indoor play space. They offer several community outreach services too.

This is definitely a really great library. Modern on the outside and inside, and clean. However, the hours for weekends could be changed. Sundays, the library could close at 6 PM. 12-5 PM is outrageous in my opinion. On Saturdays, the library could be open between 12 PM-5:30 PM.

First - thank you for existing at all. No library in the world deserves less than 5 stars. Relevant info for people who live in the area: this one is big with lots of facilities and kind librarians, but not as beautiful and cozy as the Riverdale branch of the NYPL for hanging out and getting work done.

A very friendly and helpful staff, a great and varied selection of Spanish books, large print books, fiction, as well as philosophy, psychology, religion, African American Studies, and teen and reference sections. There is a self-checkout, a computer lab, and social events. The security are nice. If you go to the fourth floor, the view of the Hudson Waterfront is breathtaking. It is right next to Lionsgate Studios and a beautiful park with the Sawgrass River flowing through it. The train station to go to Manhattan or northward is right by the library. The Hudson River is a mere five minute walk.

It was way to get my library card today and I'm so glad I did it! All you need is an ID and proof of address. There are also a nice array of activities that the library seems to sponsor including summer stem programs, grab and go crafts and tutoring! There's also a literacy solutions program which provides reading and language comprehension for community members! There are computer labs to use for those with library cards and the art exhibit by Elvira Clayton on the fourth floor was awe inspiring and thought provoking (and open to all). I'm excited to continue visiting my local library! The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable in helping me find the books that I need. They communicate throughout the floors too to make sure you're getting the books you need. There are four floors; in the fourth floor staircase you have a beautiful view of the running river below.

Accepts only cash for printing. 15 cent per page. You can get a library card immediately or if you need less than 15 minutes then you dont need a card

The entry in was aesthetically welcoming. The library staff was welcoming and helpful . When you enter the main area there is a file of seeds that is available to document your journey planting. They help me in the computer room because although I do have a library card it was for NYC. Yonkers library staff helped me with a visitors pass . Loved they had staff to assist patrons. I love libraries, if I could I would spend most of my days in one. I really would like to Thank you River front Library staff for being you.

My husband and his incredibly awesome staff are the sole reason for the cleanliness of the RIVERFRONT LIBRARY
