Upon entering the lobby, it appeared to be a modern place for people to hang out. There were a lot of people lounging in the space. There's a foosball table and games for children behind the counter, which my children enjoyed. If you arrive early before the 3:00 check in time, and would like to store you luggage, they have a room to rent lockers by the hour or by the day. It is 1€ per hour or 4€ per day. We were able to fit 2 small carryon suitcases in a locker in addition to 2 backpacks. While we liked this option, but you absolutely MUST have Euro coins to operate the locker rental machine. It does not take bills. The front desk does NOT exchange bills for coins either. So my husband had to change money with several taxi drivers. I feel if you are going to offer a coin operated machine, there should be a machine to get coins from. We eventually rented a locker and went out for the day. The hotel location is excellent for walking to the Eiffel Tower. It is a straight walk, which took about 10-15 minutes. This convenience alone was why we booked the hotel. We booked a room that accommodates 4 people: 2 adults and 2 children. The room was nice overall. My children enjoyed the bunk beds with sliding doors. Their bunks also had reading lights. The floor is concrete, so be prepared to walk on that. Our room had a shower as well. From what I understand, some rooms do not. One issue we had with our room was the air conditioning. It would not turn on. We tried many things and even consulted the front desk to no avail. There were several other guests complaining of the same problem. The front desk tried to tell us all we didn't know how to operate the air conditioning. Eventually they offered to let us switch rooms, but it was too late at night to move our small children. There is a window in the room, which we eventually opened after 6 hours without the air conditioning working. Overall, we liked staying there. It served our purpose of a clean place to sleep for the night. If you are staying longer than a few nights, I'd suggest looking elsewhere for more comfort.
