12 hidden restaurants in Singapore that even hipsters don’t know about - SilverKris

"With a hidden entrance near the carpark ramp of a tower on Beach Road, this dimly lit, narrow yakitori bar evokes the feel of a Tokyo alley. It offers affordable sushi and skewers best enjoyed with ice-cold Kirin beer; grilled scallop with cheese is a noted favourite." - SilverKris

It's a awesome nite there with some friends from the car clubs. Highly recommended. Delicious food and great hospitality by the boss and his team. Had a kakubin and a sake, chit chat for 4 hrs. The best izakaya I been to in Sg. The chirashi and fried rice is my favorite. Will be back. Remember drink don't drive. As the atmosphere is good here.

Today is Valentine’s Day and I was lucky to reach before 6pm and have my 1st batch of orders served before the main crowds came. Unfortunately, when I added on items later, due to big crowds, I decided to cancel my 2nd part additional Yakitori orders after some wait. I will visit again on a normal weekday evening. Overall yakitori items are very good. Strongly recommend: Grilled Fish Skins, Chawamushi, Age Kawaebi, Garlic Fried Rice, Yakitori items (only manage to try some in my 1st order). Food to improve: Charcoal Grilled Beef taste good but texture a bit too tough, probably overcooked due to the busy kitchen. Approximately S$50-$70 per pax.

This is a small Japanese style restaurant but very cozy and warm. Traditional Japanese internal decoration. Ordered a place of Sashimi, special chicken wings with stuffed minced meat, and a sushi dish. The Sashimi was really fresh, and the stuffed chicken wings with minced meat were grilled well and flavourful.

My friends and I keep coming back here over the past few years. The atmosphere, music, food were full of character and charm. Reminded us of cosy Japanese izakaya in japan!

Hidden hole in the wall Izakaya that transports you back to Japan. Food is good, decent selection of sake and good service.

I’m honestly surprised by the quality of the grill dishes, every item is perfectly grill with a nice char while remaining tender and juicy, the flavours are spot on. I’d definitely visit this place again. The sashimi is as abit normal, served in room temperature, oysters are not bad, but I still highly recommend their grill items, my personal favourite are all their grill pork. The only downside of this place, is their service. We ordered quite a number of items, across different timing, but there are constantly missing item from each order. We had to re-order for the item to be served.

Tucked cosily in Golden Mile Tower, this izakaya offers an ambience very close to that of japan, save for drunk salary men :) We loved their yakitori which i suspect is grilled under charcoal as i tasted a bit of charred and smokiness that usually came of charcoal grill. Not to mention good and prompt service offered by the shop keepers. One of the shopkeepers asked my wife and i if we had over ordered as the yakitoris came in pairs, we ordered a total of 18 sticks :D
