I came to this restaurant for a Sunday lunch after the zoo with my kids. It’s quite expensive but I guess you are paying for the name Gordon Ramsay. The beef roast was tasty but I would have liked a little bit more gravy. Our French waitress Selina was good and very friendly, especially with the kids! We are considering returning to try their set menu.

Came to the York and Albany restaurant with my partner and parents today. It was really lovely. The setting is lovely and bright, and the front of house were attentive. The food was delicious, especially the signature beef wellington! The cocktails were fab too. Will definitely be back ☺️

I’m only rating the restaurant, not the hotel. Food is kind of mediocre. The fried cauliflower tastes pretty bland. It had spices but it needed a sauce or dip. The duck salad again was ok - but the duck was definitely crispy and had a lot of flavour so I’d eat it again. The kids food was also bland which didn’t actually mean lack of salt. I wish I got pizza but my friends had burgers and said they were decent. Service was outstanding and quick and the staff were lovely.

I’m writing this review about the restaurant and not the hotel. I assume maybe there is a reason that you can’t review the restaurant as maybe the truth hurts. I can’t believe that Gordon Ramsey still puts his name to this place. It all started when the staff weren’t aware if the specials board on the outside of the building that has been there for at least a few days since I noticed it and is still there today. When i asked the staff what was on the seasonal set menu. They told us that it finished at 6pm (see the sign and this was a Monday night at 7pm). They then brought us the seasonal menu and said we could still order. The price on the menu that was brought to us had a price of 2 courses for £19.50. So I questioned the price and the waiter got the manger. He explained that the sign out the front was incorrect (it looks pretty professional snd intentional; again see the photo) and that I would be charged £19.50 as was on the menu. I complained and he said what he could do. We ordered the food and it was so bad anyway. Wings were covered in too much sauce. Like something was being disguised. The cauliflower was watery and quite tasteless, as well as the fish main also being tasteless. I really do think Gordon should maybe do a spot check of his own venues and get off TV complaining about other peoples restaurants.

Had a lovely dinner after a trip to London with my child. Service was fantastic and quick - staff were attentive and friendly. You wouldn't know if was a Gordon Ramsey restaurant from the outside, but the restaurant bar had a great ambiance and the food was delicious. The roasted cod was lovely and my young child had a burger (kids eat free with an adult meal). Definitely a nice place to dine, close to Regents Park and Camden. Would recommend.

Perfect location by Regent’s Park and very close to Camden Market. The whole place was tastefully and elegantly decorated. The room had all accessories and comfort you can wish for. Breakfast was superb. Most importantly, the staff were faultless - efficient, pleasant, helpful, attentive. Thanks for making our stay so special! We’re definitely staying there again next time we go to London.

The festive menu wasn’t available. My steak was mixed up with someone else. My the time this was rectified the sides had gone cold. Still another of our table hasn’t received their main course. My returned steak was rare and not medium well done. The prices are high but the food and service don’t live up to the prices. No toilet roll in the bathroom and not sorted out even when mentioned. We were looking forward to the festive menu and not really sure why it wasn’t available. A very overpriced and disappointing experience.

Booked here for a long await roast dinner with my husband. A great location and have previously had a good meal here. Unfortunately it took 25 minutes to be served wine, olives and bread. Then our roast arrived. Only two veg in the plate and the carrots were too hard. I like Al dente but they were rock solid. Dry Yorkshire’s and mediocre potatoes. All in all a disappointing roast. The best part was the sticky toffee pudding. Not worth the price I’m afraid. I’m sure a local pub would have been better service and quality.

Yelp
We had a private dinner here for 20 people. Sunday night dinner three courses, every course was better than the one before. Our team of waiters never strayed and took great care of us all evening. The private room on the 2nd floor is really gorgeous. I would highly recommend this venue for a private affair.

Yelp
Gordon Ramsay, once again, proves posh, elegant, and sincere near Regent Park in London. The restaurant, York & Albany is listed on yelp, but townhouse on the 2nd and 3rd floor are missing from the listings. I secured a reservation for a classic room @105 pounds per person that included a full Ramsay style breakfast. We stayed two nights. Having stayed six nights in South London, I splurged on our last two nights in Camden before returning to Florida. My 13 year old daughter and I enjoyed two regal nights in this authentically designed and decorated room located just above the impeccable dining experience York & Albany. Our room overlooked the skylight above the dining room, granting us a bird's eye view of the plates below. I felt perfectly situated. No detail of the townhouse is overlooked. The key and lock seemed to be original to the late 18th century building. The crown molding throughout made me feel like a princess. All of the windows opened, even in the large bathroom, three steps below the bed and dressing areas. The wardrobe came from the same period with a mirrored front and wood hangers. I could imagine myself a Duke being dressed by a valet. Downstairs, at a table just outside the restaurant, I enjoyed a glass of wine, watching for my friends from South London on the C2 to join us for a stroll to the London Zoo. It was a glorious day. The service at York & Albany is sincere and friendly. I enjoyed my first pimm while I munched on tiny fried whitetail fishes. OMG keeps coming to mind. I'll dream of returning for years to come.
