Coast to Coast Walk in England

"Characterized by rolling green hills and pastoral dales, this park presents gently rising slopes, low-growing vegetation, stone bridges arching over small rivers, and a patchwork of farmland. Trails meander past creeks and occasional waterfalls, and walkers commonly pass through sheep pastures where wooden gates and low stone walls must be negotiated." - Mike Nolan

Beautiful area for walking, woods, water and picnics. A number of options, some wheel friendly. Paid parking allows for either car parks. Cafe facilities in the village or at Cavendish pavilion.

The Yorkshire Dales is an absolutely stunning place to explore. The scenic drive through the hills was one of the best I’ve experienced — peaceful, quiet, and incredibly refreshing for the mind. The atmosphere is calm and the landscapes are breathtaking at every turn. It’s a perfect trip if you’re looking to disconnect and enjoy nature. One tip: plan your stops ahead of time. Make sure to find a good spot for refreshments before and after your journey, as options along the way can be limited. Highly recommended for a scenic escape.

We had such a lovely family day out at Yorkshire Dales National Park - Bolton Abbey. The whole place is beautiful the views are stunning, and there’s so much space for the kids to run around and explore. They especially loved the stepping stones across the river we had a good laugh trying to keep our balance. It felt so nice just being out in nature, walking along the riverside and through the woods. We brought a picnic and found a perfect spot to relax, and later grabbed a coffee and some cake from one of the cafés which were really nice and friendly. Just a heads up it’s worth booking your car parking in advance online, as it’s cheaper and guarantees your spot. Really easy to do and saves you a bit of stress on the day. It was one of those simple, feel good days where everyone just really enjoyed themselves. We’ll definitely be going back.

Absolutely beautiful ingleton falls. A dip in the falls if you fancy it, it was freezing but well worth it for those brave enough. Take a towel. Lots of steps, but you can take your time. Rough terrain but nothing you can not handle in trainers or walking boots. To think the beauty seen in the hills today is hidden from many who do not dare to venture beyond the road, which is unreal. I will return.
