Darling Chapel in the park. Still active and historic. Views from this gem are amazing. Take some time to go in quietly to observe the architecture etc. Around the grounds is also so peaceful. We went in early May so it wasn't crowded.

It’s hard to believe they have a chapel inside Yosemite, but they do.

My Mother a d I were there with a big group for the Timmons/Edwards wedding 6/22/24. Every person we encountered was pleasant and happy to be there. If we lost our bearings or wanted to know more about an amenity, there was no shortage of willing helpers!! The whole place is beautiful and we could tell how much thought went into all the planning and placement of everything. Everywhere you look, there is something beautiful to look at, or a seating nook, or an activity area. We had the poolside BBQ on Friday for a meet and greet with everyone The pool was huge, beautiful, clean, and felt great. The BBQ dinner was delicious. The wedding on Saturday was offsite, and then back here for the reception dinner. We had the beef and salmon and they were both scrumptious. Sunday morning, we had the breakfast buffet, and just couldn't even test it all. Yummy! We had a wonderful time from beginning to end and hope others see this and book a stay. We HIGHLY recommend this as a destination!!! Thank you all so very much for a wonderful stay!

This is such a quiet and quaint little chapel that when we walked into it, it was so serene and peaceful. I was able to say my morning prayers and be thankful for the weekend. Also, the fact that it's located deep in yosemite Park gives it an added sense of spirituality for me. The day we went was raining, so it really made the area even more beautiful. There is a place on the wall with historical information that was interesting.

Yosemite Valley Chapel is a historic and quaint chapel located in the heart of Yosemite Valley. Built in 1879, it is the oldest structure in Yosemite National Park and offers a unique glimpse into the park's history. The chapel's rustic charm and picturesque setting make it a popular spot for weddings and quiet contemplation. Surrounded by towering granite cliffs and lush meadows, the chapel provides a serene and spiritual atmosphere. Whether you're attending a service or simply visiting, the Yosemite Valley Chapel offers a peaceful retreat and a beautiful contrast to the grandeur of the surrounding landscape.

I had visit this attractive Chapel on December/20/2020. The prettiest little wooden Chapel I have ever seen! I went on Sunday, the chapel was closed but there are wide open spaces with the spectacular views. Yosemite falls, swimming bridge, meadows, great view of half dome, and also a popular hiking trails are all surrounding around the chapel. It is more than beautiful gift from God, especially during challenging time we are living in right now. Very peaceful and serene, It makes me think that this is the last stop before entering the gates of heaven. I can see why people love to get married here! It’s something that you should check it out on your visit to the Yosemite Valley!!!

Few places on earth rival the majestic creation of Yosemite. This chapel is ideal for a medium size event but it will require travel planning and tight parking for your group. The park is a must see for people making their bucket list - have met numerous visitors from Asia, Europe, and South America over the years - ran into a couple visiting all the way from Israel this weekend!

Yelp
Lovely setting for our intimate wedding. Lifetime memory 25 years ago. Isolated from tourists and related activities.

Yelp
The Chapel and scenery are amazing but the park should block off the very small parking lot at the Chapel for people who have secured it for their wedding.... there was ZERO parking and made it very stressful. Made us all late and the ceremony ran late. You're already very limited on the time they allow you.

Yelp
Yosemite Valley is one of the most beautiful places in the world and this chapel is set right in the middle of it. But management of the facility has gotten a bit slipshod, judging from the reviews a decade old featured here. First, half the parking is taken up by day-hikers, so if you have a guest list of more than 10 people and a wedding party of more than four, plan on hiking in or renting a shuttle. There will be nothing available. Second, they not only have no wiggle room between events, they tend to double book events to maximize revenue. Personally, I'd prefer using the Wawona Hotel. You are still in the valley, you can get shuttles from the hotel for visiting, you have guaranteed parking and a stunning hotel right there.

Yelp
I really liked this church. I was a little sad that there is service times didn't work with our schedule so we didn't get to attend. Next time I visit here I would love to attend a service here. It's a place to take pictures if you are in Yosemite Park. You can see the upper fall from this place.

Yelp
I worked with Faith Moore on helping my wife and I put together a 5th Anniversary vow renewal in Yosemite. She was great to work with and I was super excited for the day of the event. So earlier this July my family showed up at the Chapel and Brent, the pastor, was there being EXCEPTIONALLY helpful! We had a beautiful ceremony on a fantastic summer day! He even joined in on the festivities and helped us shoot some photos. The chapel is situated in such a great location... with Yosemite Falls as the backdrop in this lush (in the summertime) green meadow. The chapel itself is very cute and quaint... the acoustics are nice too. Thanks for making our 5th anniversary such a special event! Kudos to Faith and Brent!!!!!

Yelp
If you want a wedding you and your guests will always remember go to Yosemite. My husband and I got married in the Chapel on June 17, 2006 and it was perfect wonderful pictures and all the guests had a great time

Yelp
On this past weekend's camping trip, my friend and I went to morning service. It was a decently attended protestant church that played nice worship music that made the enormous granite walls of Yosemite Valley seem majestic. The sermon was not just a feel good sermon, but the pastor gave a challenging message about our struggle with sin, using Romans 6 and Galations 5 as the biblical basis. Its a friendly little church and a place I would certainly be happy to return for worship whenever I visit Yosemite.
