Youth Hostel Lugano Savosa

I stayed at this hostel for a weekend in Lugano as a 20-year-old solo female traveler and had a great experience. It’s not directly in the city center, but taking the bus to and from town was easy to figure out and the neighborhood it was located in was very quiet and safe. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, with each room having its own private toilet and shower. Eva at reception was incredibly kind and very willing to help with anything I needed. The hostel rules were clear, and the price was very inexpensive for Switzerland. The girls in my room were friendly, and the lockers (which require a 2 Swiss franc coin) made everything feel secure. Overall, it was a great weekend and I’d happily stay here again!

During my recent visit with my school class, I found the establishment to be quite satisfactory. It is conveniently situated near a bus stop that provides easy access to the city of Lugano. However, it is worth noting that some staff members exhibited a lack of courtesy and knowledge. Despite this minor setback, the overall experience was enjoyable. The pool is impressive, although its temperature may be slightly chilly. Nevertheless, this minor inconvenience does not detract from the overall positive impression.

I recently visited Youth Hostel Savosa in Switzerland with my family and had an amazing experience. A special thanks to Ewa, the receptionist, for her warm hospitality and helpful guidance. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel welcome and comfortable, offering tips that enhanced our stay. This hostel is truly wonderful for families, with a friendly atmosphere and convenient facilities. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling with children. We visited from Malta, but we are originally from Pakistan, and the experience made our family trip to Switzerland truly memorable.

From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of this wonderful community. All staff members are extremely attentive and caring. My children and I were looked after so very well during our five-night stay, which was an absolute delight. Grazie a tutti!

Best hostel experience i have ever had. The staff was helpful and extremely friendly making the stay even better than we could have imagined. Location is amazing and easily accesible by public transport.

I have stayed five nights at this hostel, and my experience has been amazing. I am 17, and backpacking through Europe, and this has been my first hostel experience, so I may lack viewpoints that others have experienced. The rooms are very clean and nice, as well as the bathrooms. Staff are friendly and welcoming! Thanks Ava! The location of the hostel is perfect. Minutes from the grocery stores and the bus stop. A part from being extremely affordable for Switzerland, your stay also comes with the Ticino Ticket, which provides free public transport in Ticino. All of the amenities are very nice as well. A peaceful and quaint place for the city at night. I couldn't recommend it more.

The place was so good. Although I had a mixed room but it was comfortable, safe and had the maximum possible privacy. The services like the pool, the garden, the showers and ... were perfect and the stuff were kind and responding. Just the breakfast offer was not good.
