Although this hostel is located down south-west of the country, the free public transportation is well connected by train and bus lines. The single bed provided is a bit narrow and I hope the management could look into the condition of the pillow which has degraded to be replaced. Above all else, the place is clean and the super friendly staff will make up for your stay to be pleasant and comfy. I must compliment all the reception staff namely Cindy and Romaine, not to forget the two ladies which register my stay on the 5/08/25 around 3 to 4 pm local time. I'm looking forward to another leisurely visit again.

In a very pretty but relatively far out location (about a 30-35 minute walk from the station and painfully hilly). The rooms are very basic (you had to put on your own sheets, there was no towel or soap, the charging sockets are quite poor, and the shower is very bad - the lights in the bathroom are motion-sensor but can’t sense motion from the shower so you are constantly having to open the door of the shower and wave around frantically to turn the lights back on which makes the floor sodden). The rooms were clean though. There are good social areas and the free breakfast is very good. The service was decent but they were very difficult to get hold of on the phone and not overly friendly. We would recommend Up Down Bar nearby as a great, fairly priced place to get drinks and food. Bring your own padlocks for the lockers!

This wasn’t just a hostel stay — it was a moment of genuine kindness I’ll never forget. Out of all the cities and countries I’ve traveled to, I’ve often found myself in stressful situations — and this time, I thought I’d miss my bus on Christmas day because public transport wasn’t running. I had no idea, but the staff at the hostel noticed I was unfamiliar with the city and gently explained everything. They told me they could help arrange a taxi if needed. I was already panicking, trying to find one on my own, and was about to give up. Then, without hesitation, they stepped in — not just with help, but with warmth, reassurance, and even gave me money for the bus fare just in case I missed it. It may sound small, but in that moment, their kindness meant everything. After so many stressful travel experiences, this place felt like a pause — a breath. Somewhere I finally felt safe and supported. Also, the hostel itself is amazing: the rooms are clean, and the bathroom was honestly the cleanest I’ve ever seen in a hostel. But more than that — it was the people that made it unforgettable.

After arriving I read the reviews and I don't have much to add to what other people have said. I thought it was strange that we have to make our own beds AND strip them down (bedding is packaged in single use plastic too btw) when we check out, there was also no hand soap in the bathroom to wash hands and no towels provided. The bunk beds were also difficult to climb and I had to haul my bags up the stairs as there was no lift. On the other hand it seemed pretty clean and there was a power socket and a light by the bed. I think if you're on a budget it's not a bad place to stay as long as you bare everything in mind

When I checked in it was only me in the room. No one else had checked in yet . It was full of rubbish everywhere, dirty , spiders on beds . When I asked reception they told me they only clean once a week the rooms, never between check ins and check outs . Is the guest the one who has to clean the bed and room and leave it ready for the next guest . But they never check this . Also only 2 bathrooms for floor . About 60 people . They don’t respect the only female dorms and mix them together. Also they close the bathrooms for cleaning every morning 8 am to 10 am. The lockers to leave your bag before and after check in are always full and they don’t keep it inside the office. So you have to pay an extra storage place outside the hostel . It seems cheap hostel when booking but it’s not .

I wish I had read the reviews before going there. This hostel is really terrible. They have no AC, so if you go in the summer, good luck trying to sleep in a hot and humid room. There’s also no elevator, so if you’re on the top floor with luggage, good luck carrying it all the way up. There isn’t really a common area where you can sit and meet people. It’s just a restaurant, and you have to order something just to sit for a while. The beds are bad, with no curtains or privacy at all. There’s no soap or trash bin in the room. You have to make your own bed when you arrive and take it off when you leave. They don’t offer any real service and just throw you into the room. The staff don’t care about anyone and know nothing about hospitality. The hostel vibe is completely dead, not social, and nothing happens there. The location is not in the city center, so you either have to walk through hills and arrive exhausted or climb a hill just to reach the bus stop. Also, even though it’s called a youth hostel, all I saw were older people. If you’re hoping to meet other travelers, this is not the place. Worst hostel ever.

Clean and well organized place to stay. Around €30 per night (4 person room). Staff is friendly. You can also enjoy the breakfast buffet for €5.50. You should bring your own bathing items ( towel, soap etc). If you need extra room keys you should deposit a refundable €3 and if you need a padlock you should also deposit a refundable €10. Room I stayed, had a shower area and a sink only. A really good well maintained palace. Enjoy..!!

This could be the cheapest accommodation in Luxembourg. The location is good, closed to city center and attractions, easy to get to by free public transport. The breakfast is free and simple. The only bad thing is the room is too hot to sleep
