What to say about this place?! Phenomenal. The food is divine. Shame we only managed to go twice during our trip, I could eat there every day. The pies are superb - that's coming from someone who rarely would eat a pie - Everything seasoned to perfection. Definitely worth a visit. Excellent atmosphere run by the locals. And dogs are most welcome in the bar area.

Popped in after a long dog walk and had a couple of pints, friendly service from the girls and whilst supping we saw the Sunday Roasts coming out, they looked great... so we ordered two roast dinners, beef and chicken. Got to say, as a fussy eater and a Sunday Roast snob, the dinners were both fantastic, almost as good as home made. Great portion size and very tasty, beef and chicken were fantastic. Service was excellent too. Thank you. Would recommend.

Wow the food was insanely good! Never judge the book by its cover they say and this definitely fit here! The service was amazing by all the girls, (specially the blonde) , we ordered duck gyoza, pea and mint soup and mushroom ravioli to start and I dare to say it was probably the best I have ever had (including some top notch restaurants) . For main we had one mutton Sunday lunch and one beef. Wow it was so good I have asked for some take away boxes! The portions are very generous. Absolutely loved it! We will definitely be back! Thank you

First time here, as we are on holiday, and from the moment we walked in, we were so welcomed in, we hadn't booked and just called in hoping to get a table, luckily we were able to, as there were 6 of us. It felt as though we were regulars here, not just visitors and that's what makes the difference, The food came very quickly and was fresh, hot, and presented well, so all positive really the only negative and it's only a little thing, and nothing they can do, was the flies, it was a hot evening and in the country side so I suppose you expect the odd one, other than was a really enjoyable meal, Parking was easy but if you have a big car or truck you might find it hard to get the their car park, so you might have to find a space on the street. If you're a disabled person then no issues here as there is a ramp to gain entry and plenty of room inside and out to be honest. It's also a pet-friendly place so you can bring that added family member if you need to. For kids, there is a kids' menu with a reasonable selection, but unsure if they have a play area. Now value, although I can not fault the food or service, the pricing for me was a bit steep, I had the smashed beef and bacon burger was fries, and homemade coleslaw, at £20 i thought that was a bit much. So to round it off, really enjoyed our visit , had a lovely meal, would I return of course as the service we received was amazing Thank you 😊

We had a fab experience here. We were very welcomed. Jen is an absolute rock star, so friendly and her personality absolutely made the meal for us. Food was great, very accommodating for food allergies. It’s not a big restaurant so make sure you book! Thanks for making us feel so comfortable and welcome xx

Was pleased to find somewhere serving food mid afternoon as not alot of options in the area. It was a nice quiet location with a nice view and the staff really friendly. The food was nice too, but very expensive. £21 each for pie (pie in a ramakin with only a puff pastry top), which arguably was very tasty, but only came with fries and peas. Hand cut chips and gravy would have been a bit more worth it with pastry surrounding the whole pie and even then should be £5 less. They need to look at their pricing structure. We were told we could get 20% off the next bill, but I'd have preferred it on this meal. Think they also need more vegetarian options.

£14 for scampi and fries. Both from frozen and could be made for less than £4. If your gonna charge £14 for scampi and fries make the effort and do proper hand cut chips. Sometimes hospitality industry does not help itself. Service was good though with bar lady very good and helpful
