Had a fabulous roast pork dinner here today. Really good portions and all the gravy you need. Great selection of puddings but I was too full to try them. I'll have to go back soon 😎

The pub has recently come under the ownership of the local community and has new management since December 2023. My wife and I ate here on New Years eve and were both incredibly pleased. I ordered the roast beef which was beautifully tender and flavourful. The roast potatoes were crispy and golden and the cauliflower cheese and red cabbage were both first rate, fresh and not overcooked. I really don't think there is a better roast dinner available in North Wales. My starter of French Onion soup really packed a punch. Sorry - it was so good I'd destroyed it before taking the photo. Overall the pub had a warm friendly atmosphere and well-trained staff who were attentive. This is a great pub for circular walks on the Aran or Arenig range, passing bikers, or for those looking to venture the other side of the lake from Bala in search of a more rural setting.

10 if us Dropped in at short notice and not long before the kitchen closed. Very welcoming and quickly got us settled and food orders in. Most of us had pies and they were excellent 👌 large with lots of filling and we all cleared our plates. Recommended if you in Bala area

Jonathan, zoe and the team at 'yr eagles' have always been very welcoming. Me and my family have eaten here on a couple of occasions for Sunday lunch which has never dissapointed. We always book in advance. Haven't tried anything else on the menu other than the roast dinner but can say that the menu looks great. Not sure if there are any vegetarian options though?

I cannot begin to explain how fantastic this culinary experience was. I should have guessed it was good from the other reviews but honestly some of the most top tier pub food I've ever experienced. And the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful this just adds to the comforting atmosphere definitely will coming here again.

Visited as part of a group for a Christmas dinner. Group was split over several tables around the restaurant when a single group table could easily have been set up. Turkey dinner portions were huge. Non-turkey dishes tiny. Expensive. No Christmas trimmings offered (crackers, mince pies, chocolate, tea/coffee). Miserly Christmas decorations in restaurant which had zero atmosphere. I entered via the public bar. Big mistake. 'Stopped and stared' at by many, heckled by one immature man who presumably thought he was being 'clever'. As a gay guy, I felt very uncomfortable. I suggest anyone in the LGBTQ+ community avoids this establishment. I will not return. Only positive: friendly bar staff.

Food was good, but the choice could be a bit bigger. Fantastic service. Fair price.

Excellent lunch at a lovely location. Can't fault quality meals at this pub .. Every dish we ordered were top notch Outside benches made it an amazing experience
