Yu Kiroro

We had a great stay at the Yu Kiroro. We moved from a hotel next door to Yu Kiroro to find very calm and relaxing atmosphere, clean modern apartments , comfortable beds, very attentive personnel. Ski rental just one gondola ride away. Gondola lift is 50 metres away from hotel. Hotel has a ski valet , private coaches can be arranged with the ski office . Even hotel has only one restaurant, though food is good and there are quite a few options for dinner on the menu. Recommend hotel to families with kids or without.

Having stayed at other resorts at Kiroro. Yu Kiroro is the standout. After multiple ski trips to Japan, Yu Kiroro has the best blend of luxury, service and friendly traditional hospitality. Having stayed over the christmas period the hotel festivities were fun and classy. Allan and his team put on a great christmas show with Santa also making an appearance. There are many highlights. Some of our favourite apects besides the proximity and convenience of the slope was the concierge ski valet. Deo was exceptional every morning and evening, organising our equipment. The traditional and western breakfast was perfect with new dishes... kept the stay fresh every morning. Besides the best matcha latte!🍵 the thing we enjoyed most was the the good morning welcome and arrival from a day of skiing. This is a hidden treasure in Kiroro.. will be back again...the kids are already asking about next year.

From the moment I arrived at YU Kiroro, I felt an incredible sense of warmth and welcome. The entire atmosphere of the hotel is peaceful and beautifully connected to nature. I was lucky enough to reach just as the snow began to fall. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by staff who were genuinely kind, attentive, and ready to help at any moment. Everyone was consistently polite and professional. Their service made me feel comfortable throughout my stay. The room itself was spotless, beautifully designed, and had a stunning view that made it hard to leave. The interior felt cozy and modern at the same time, and every corner was thoughtfully arranged. I truly didn’t want to step outside, it was that comfortable. One thing I loved was the convenience for skiing. YU Kiroro has its own ski valet, which makes everything incredibly easy, and the slope right behind the building is perfect for beginners. It’s such a great place for anyone who wants to practice. Private Onsen is a must 🤌🏻🫶🏻

I had a wonderful ski vacation at Yu Kiroro Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The staff demonstrated excellent service standards and a strong service mindset throughout my stay. In particular, Mr. JB was exceptionally helpful, providing in-depth and clear information regarding skiing arrangements and related inquiries, which made the experience smooth and enjoyable. The food was consistently excellent, with high quality and great variety. The hotel’s cleanliness and facilities were well maintained, creating a comfortable, homey, yet professional atmosphere. The snow conditions were outstanding, making it a perfect destination for a ski holiday. I also appreciated the presence of Thai staff members, who were very attentive and supportive, making Thai guests feel especially comfortable and at home. Overall, Yu Kiroro Hotel offers exceptional service, excellent facilities, and a truly welcoming environment. I would definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a ski vacation in Hokkaido. Thank you.

My friend is a guest of Yu Kiroro and went through a very upsetting incident at a neighboring resort. What stayed with me most was how the Yu Kiroro team responded, quietly, genuinely, and without hesitation. Allan, the Operations Manager, showed real care and responsibility. He took the time to listen, made sure my friend felt supported, and even stayed after his shift to accompany her so she could speak directly with the management of the other resort. Nothing felt rushed or transactional. He simply did what he felt was right for a guest in need. Angelica was just as kind. She listened patiently and helped with translation so my friend could clearly explain what had happened. Her calm presence and willingness to help made a difficult moment feel less overwhelming. There was no sense of “this didn’t happen here.” Instead, there was a clear feeling that once you are their guest, your wellbeing matters. That level of care meant more than any luxury or amenity. Thank you to the Yu Kiroro team for treating someone with such respect and humanity.

We were a family of 9 and had a fabulous time in Yu Kiroro. The rooms were all decent size and great value for its proximity to the ski resort. The staff were all friendly and made us feel like a second home to us. We would definitely visit again given the chance.

My room service food has been delivered on-time, and accurate after my original review below. The management was responsive. This change my impression to this hotel from negative into neutral. Will consider booking again in the future. The worst in-room dining experience I ever had: The hotel has only one restaurant. I am staying at this ski hotel for 5 nights in December. Before arriving, I inquired the front desk what should I do if the restaurant is fully booked as the front desk informed me that the restaurant is fully reserved two evenings during my stay. “ You can always order in-room dining. We have frozen food pack that you can cook, hot pots,and a full in-room dining menu to order from. On the second day, I ordered lunch for in-room dining. Along with a pack of frozen steak and frozen chicken thigh. My food was delivered, but the check thigh has been “misplaced” as check breast. On the third day. I pre-ordered in-room hot pot to be delivered at 17:30. At 17:50, I need to call the front desk to follow up with my order. And my hot pot was finally delivered at 18:00, without soup. I had to call the front desk to complain again to get my chicken stock arriving at 18:20. Hence, my “pre-ordered” in room dining was 50 minutes late. I would not recommend this hotel to any food specific person or those who value punctuality.

Just read others review. I stayed in december 2025. What you pay only for a fancy room. They were very short on ammenities. And they only have water as welcome drink. Staff are unhelpful. Onsen experience are quite bad. Not exactly a ski in and ski out hotel, lots of walking with ski boots. I dont really get why they charge that much for such a. abysmall experience. I regret staying at yu kiroro.
