Yudanaka Brewery Complex U

Tasty innovative dishes with high quality ingredients in a modern warm setting with friendly staff. We tried the brews (beer), most of the burger options, bolognese and soba pasta. Big thumbs up for this switch to our more traditional gourmet finds.

Came in mid-September. Not busy at all. The food and prices are to beat... Delicious, extensive menu and brewery right next door. I tried the two seasonal beers: jasmine ale and tropical lager. Both delicious! Fish and chips are hot and flavorful. Hits the spot. The grilled chicken was VERY bland and small in portion compared to the picture presented. So I guess the food is always great in theory but sometimes hits the mark. They made a mistake on my drink order and downsized it, but corrected it promply after I pointed it out Overall, I recommend it in low season. Music is mushy, generic American pop that I can't name.

I came here and rented a spa pod as well as for some food. The team on reception were so friendly and helpful and organised me a booking without a reservation. The pod was beautiful I went for the one with the sauna and it was so relaxing to be there for those hours. It had really everything you needed. The food was also very nice. Extremely fragrant curry - and a menu with some clearly labelled vegan options which I was so grateful for. A very nice afternoon

We went to this restaurant during off season. Beer is unique and delicious, especially champagne beer. Food is amazing also. Such an hidden gem in the middle of onsen town!

Sampled all of their available beers at this time. My favourite was the champagne ale by far. A little sweeter and bubbly but delicious. Very special

Highly recommended spot in Yudanaka. Liked Yudanaka IPA and the Shinshu beef burger was amazing. The space is clean, relaxing and family friendly. They have a spacious parking lot.

A microbrewery with its own hot spring footbath? Can only be in Yudanaka. The team is fast and friendly; the menu is refreshingly varied and the beers are imaginative. The sake beer and the champagne beer both stand out. The double curry was excellent - vivid flavours, sensible portion size and quality meat. There's a shop of local products, from beer to chocolate to upmarket homeware and snow monkey souvenirs, adjoining the restaurant. Towels are on a shelf beside the footbath for anyone to use freely. In the off-season, this is also one of the very few options for lunch and dinner around Shibu Onsen.

Nice relaxed atmosphere. The food was excellent, nice burger and the shrimp and mushroom calzone was super tasty! Nice little Panna cotta for desert as part of the kids meal, very noice. We all enjoyed our meals
